一、教学内容：讲述正在发生的事情；向他人求助；根据客观情况说明自己能否 向他人提供帮助。
二、设计理念
采用任务型教学，让学生在教师的指导下通过感知、体验、实践、参与和合作等方式完成教学目标。在设计本课时从学生的学习兴趣入手，精心创设生活化语言情景，开展丰富多彩的活动，指导学生进行语言交流，感受用英语交流的乐趣和成功感，培养学生运用英语的能力，把所学知识应用到生活中。
教材分析
本课的文化背景是：在西方，人们通过举办party庆祝生日。过生日的人会邀请自己的亲朋好友前来与自己共庆生日。他们会表演节目，做游戏，吹蜡烛，吃蛋糕。参加party的人们会为过生日的人准备生日礼物，而接受礼物的人会马上打开礼物，当面进行赞美，表示感谢——这与中国人的习惯非常不同。

Greetings.
Play a game:"fast or slow motion".
(“slow motion”操作方法如下：老师把单词卡片或图片放在一个大信封内，一点点把信封中的单词卡片展示给身边的学生看，一次让学生看到图片的一部分，鼓励他们猜单词。第一个猜对的给与表扬和奖励。“fast motion”游戏的操作方法如下：老师用一张纸盖住单词卡片或图片，把纸拿起来，然后迅速盖上，让学生猜单词。第一个猜对的给与表扬和奖励。复习的单词包括：supermarket, party, birthday, bag, orange(s)等)

(老师可以先邀请三名学生上前，根据书上提供的语言做一个示范。然后把全班分成三人一组，利用书上提供的场景练习对话。最后邀请几组上台展示。)
Play a game:"from back to front"
(老师提供一个单词，请一组学生逐步把这个单词扩展为一个现在进行时的句子，例如：card--birthday card--a birthday card--making a birthday card--I'm making a birthday card. 同时提醒学生注意时态的正确性。)
