四、One possible version:
Last week, our class invited a graduate to give us some suggestions on what we should do during the most important year in high school.
The graduate arrived at the scheduled time. We were delighted to see him and eager to hear the wisdom he was about to pass on to us. After a brief greeting in response to our warm applause, our guest began his talk. He first shared his study plan he made for his senior year and emphasized the importance of time management, which left me a deep impression. Afterwards, he vividly described his interesting college life. Inspired by his words, we all listened attentively and took notes.
Before seeing him off, I asked him how to review for the exam and how to balance the busy school life with some kind of relaxation, on which he gave some enlightening ideas.
That night, I had the most fulfilling time setting my short-term and long-term goals as well as planning for my future study. I’m now full of confidence and energy, and prepared to give 100% for my ambition and dreams.

This term, we participated in a photography exhibition in our school entitled “The Most Beautiful Autumn”.
On a Monday morning in early October, the moment I walked into our school, a notice about a photography exhibition caught my eyes. Each class should submit one autumn-themed photo taken by themselves. I told the good news to my classmates and we decided to enter the exhibition.
In the following two weeks, well equipped, we started taking photos. I began with our picturesque campus, while my classmates took photos of the breathtaking autumn scenery in the park. One day, during the lunch break, noticing our red classroom building against the clear blue sky, surrounded by trees with colorful leaves, I quickly pressed the shutter to freeze this lovely scene forever.
After all the photos were developed, my classmates and I chose the best photo to submit. We discussed heatedly in our classroom, comparing the content and composition of the pictures that we had taken. Eventually, my photo was selected. You can imagine how excited I felt at that time.
Last month, all the submitted photos were displayed. A crowd of students soon gathered, talking about their favourite ones. Hearing their comments, a sense of achievement welled up in me.
Autumn comes only once a year. What we need is the ability to capture the beauty that autumn holds. It is the photography exhibition that gave me the opportunity.

Stop Phubbing
Phubbing is a serious problem in our daily lives. In this article, I would love to share my personal story of phubbing and why we should stop this bad habit.
Last Friday morning, on my way to school, I was playing with my phone as usual. Even when I was about to cross the street at the traffic light, I did not bother to look up to check whether it was safe. Therefore, I failed to notice a car coming towards me until it stopped just half a meter away, braking sharply. Luckily, I was pulled aside by a lady who happened to be walking beside me. The shocked driver was mad at me and began shouting loudly, while the woman warned me that I should never look at my phone while walking. After hearing her words, I realized how my stupidity could have led to tragedy.
I was really having a difficult time coming to grips with what had happened. After arriving at school, I told my classmates about my experience and we all agreed that we should get rid of the phubbing habit.
Smartphones are just tools that serve us, and by no means should we let them disturb our life. Let’s spread the word and stories like this to end phubbing once and for all.

Preparations for New Year’s Party
Last Monday, realizing the new year of 2017 was coming, some of my classmates and I came up with an idea that we should hold a party to celebrate it. Without any delay we had a heated discussion about what to prepare and put down all the things needed on a list. Right after school, we headed to the nearby supermarket for shopping. Besides the decorations, we also bought some fruit and drinks.
The day before the party, we started to decorate the classroom. While I was writing “Happy New Year” on the blackboard, my classmates put up the paper festoons and balloons, cleaned the floor, and arranged the desks and chairs. Soon, the whole classroom took on a new look. At the sight of the scene, our head teacher gave us a thumbs-up.
What a joyful party would it be? A big smile spread across our faces.
