【句型结构】
—Is this/that…? /Are these/those + 某人的?
—Yes, it is./No, it isn’t./Yes, they are./No, they aren’t.
【重点解析】
这个问句是一般疑问句，用于询问某些物品是否属于某人。近处物品用 this/these 指代，远处的物品用 that/those 指代。“某人的”既可以是名词性物主代词，如mine, yours, his；也以是名词所有格，如Tom’s, Jim’s。
【例句】
—Is this pencil hers? 这支铅笔是她的吗？
—Yes, it is.是的，它是。

’s 所有格的构成规则
名词所有格表示所属关系，即某物属于某人。它有两种形式：通常情况下，在名词词尾加“’s”。这类名词多为有生命的事物。不能加“’s”的名词，可以与of构成短语，表示所属关系。这类名词多为无生命的事物。
一般在名词后直接加“’s”。例如： the boy’s bike 那个男孩的自行车
在以s结尾的复数名词后只加“’”。例如： the teachers’ books 老师们的书
在不以s结尾的复数名词后加“’s”。例如： the children’ s toys 孩子们的玩具
表示两者共有时，只在后面的名词后加“’s”；表示两者各自拥有时，两者后都加“’s”。
例如： Tom and Jim’s room 汤姆和吉姆的房间（两者共有）
