It's
a
cruel
fact
of
life,
as
we

gravity

over.
We
find
ourselves
walking
less
and
less
—
and
that
only
makes
matters
worse.
Well,

There's

It's

Traditional

neck,
wrists

your
hands.
Over
time,
this
makes
walking
uncomfortable
and
can
result
in
health
problems.
That's
all
changed
with
the
Perfect
Walker.
Its
upright
design
and
padded
elbow
will
make
you
more
comfortable.
Its
special
frame
gives
you
plenty
of
room
to
step,
and
the
oversized
wheels
help
you
move
across
the
floor.
The

Once

and
there's
even
a
handy

with
a

Why

I
sat
here
at

and
stared
at

I
waited
patiently
for
ideas
to

to
me,thinking
about

for
a
school
lest
I
would

My
wife
was
off
to
a
reunion
(聚会)somewhere,
but
I
wasn't
alone.
Our
two

kept
me
company.
Ten-month-old
Edward
spent
most
of
his
day
looking
at
some
cards
and
other
different
pieces
of
paper.
But
Meghan
was
different
from
her
younger
brother.
She
followed
a
daily
routine
that
needed
much
time
and
was
difficult.
It
included
certain
basic
tasks:
watching
the
fish,
sweeping
the
carpet
in
her
room,
sitting
for
a
few
minutes
on
the
bottom
shelf
of
the
bookcase
to
determine
whether
she
still
fitted
there,
checking
regularly
on
Edward
or
jumping
on
the
sofa.
I
could
do
my
own
work
fairly
well
during
most
of
these
chores.
Unfortunately,
I
had
not
counted
on
the
"Bib-bibs,
bib-bibs",
"Bib-bibs,
bib-bibs"
shrieked(尖叫)Meghan,
and
her
eyes
were
alive
with
expectation.
She
insisted
that
I
go
with
her
to
the
window,
"No,
Meghan,"
I
answered
irritably.
"Not
now.
Go
away
and
leave
me
alone.
"
She
left
without
any
attempt
to
bother
me.

of
her

in
her
mouth
and
watched
me

She

of

So.
Smith

The
other
half
said
they
were
unsure

Adults

Lots
of
cats
love
having
cat
companions,
but
if
yours
doesn't,
it
might
act
out
by
showing
fear
or
aggression.
This
doesn't
56
(necessary)
mean
you
have
to
give
one
up!
"Cats
show
great
flexibility
in

social
behavior."
says
Kristyn
Vitale,
a
researcher
at
the
Human-Animal
Interaction
Lab
at
Oregon
State
University,
US.
She
suggests
58
(separate)
the
cats
into
different
areas
of
the
house
and
slowly
reintroducing
them
to
one
another
using
a
method
59
(call)
"Scent
(气味).Sight?
Touch":
Take
a
toy
or
blanket
from
each
cat
and
exchange
them.
Give
each
cat
the
other
cat's
scent
item
along
60
lots
of
praise
and
rewards
so
they
connect
the
smell
with
good
things^
After
doing
this
a
few
times,
set
up
a
space
61
the
cats
will
be
able
to
see
one
another
through
a
physical
barrier,
like
a
screen
door
or
gate.
Then
feed
them,
so
they
start
to
connect
positive
62
(feeling)
with
the
sight
of
the
other
cat.
After
a
few
63
(success)
feeding
periods,
you
can
try
to
introduce
the
cats
without
a
barrier
(障碍)"distract
each
cat
with
toys
during
their
first
meeting
in
the
same
room,
so
they
have
less
time
64
(worry),
“If
owners
go
slow
and
give
lots
of

many

to

第二节(满分25分)
阅读下面材料.根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
I
was
sitting
at
my
kitchen
table
the
other
day
with
a
pen?
a
notebook,
a
calculator,
and
a
pile
of
bills,
I
was
doing
my
monthly
budget
(预算).There
were
bills
for
electric,
water,
rent,
insurance,
the
car
payment,
the
phone
bill,
and
the
WiFi
hill
Plus
money
needed
to
be
set
aside
for
food,gas,
clothes,
and
hopefully
a
little
left
over
to
save
for
those
unexpected
bills
that
always
seemed
to
show
up.
When
I
was
done
I
shook
my
head,
closed
my
eyes,
and
thought
of
a
time
long
ago
when
I
would
regularly
get
treasures.
When
I
was
a
boy.
we
lived
across
the
road
from
Camp
Caesar,
It
held
week
long
camps
all
through
the
Summer
and
my
grandma
who
I
lovingly
called
"Nanny"
worked
in
its
big
kitchen.
I
remember
sneaking
(溜进)in
there
getting
a
smile,
a
hug,
a
kiss,
and
a
hot
cookie
from
Nanny.
Then
she
would
always
dig
deep
in
her
pockets
and
pull
out
a
treasure,
a
shiny
coin.
She
would
give
it
to
me
and
I
would
run
down
the
hill
to
either
get
an
ice
cold
can
of
coke
from
the
pop
machine
or
I
would
head
to
the
camp
s
swimming
pool
where
I
could
buy
a
warm
cup
of
cherry
coke
for
15
cents
and
a
tiny
10
cent
bag
of
chips
from
the
stand.
I
took
my
time
because
it
was
always
a
big
decision.
It
was
nice
to
feel
so
rich
for
a
few
minutes.
Looking
back
now
I
can
see
that
the
real
treasure
wasn't
the
coin
at
all.
It
was
the
love
with
which
Nanny
gave
it
to
me.
I
would
have
still
visited
her
at
work
every
day
if
1
had
never
gotten
a
single
coin.
It
was
her
smile,
hugs,
and
kisses
that
were
priceless
in
my
heart
then
and
now.
