第五课时 B Let’s talk Let’s practice
教学目标:
掌握有关动物的单词和句子:giraffe,deer,tall,short. The giraffe is tall. The deer is short.
会用形容词tall和short描述人物或动物。
能听懂、会说两个常用语:Yeah!You’re right!
教学重点:
掌握四个句子:The giraffe is tall. The deer is short. You’re tall,I’m short.
教学难点:
运用所学的词句描述动物,教师应指导学生由简单到复杂、学会较完整具体地谈论自己喜爱的动物。
课前准备:
教师准备相关的动物大图片。
教师准备若干动物小图片。
学生每人准备一个动物玩具。
教学过程:
Step 1 Preparation
Let’s sing:‘They are in the zoo’师生同唱此歌曲,并根据歌词找出相关的动物卡片。
Let’s do:Tall,tall,tall,make yourself tall!……
Let’s chant:Where is the cat? Here it is!.
Where is the monkey?Here it is!.
Where is the panda? Here it is!.
Where is the dog? Here it is!.
教师自编chant歌谣,师生一起说句子,拥有该动物的学生可以展示动物玩具。

Ss:Good morning!/Good afternoon! Miss XU!/I’m fine,thank you! / Nice to meet you,too!
T:(教师出示动物单词卡片)Look at my pictures. What’s this?
Ss:Elephant /Deer/ Giraffe/ Pig/ Monkey/ Squirrel /Cat/ Rabbit……
T:I have an elephant!It has a long nose and a short tail. What about you?
S1:I have a monkey!It has a long tail and a small nose..

Ss:Giraffe.

教师用升降调教读句子====学生跟读====男生读,女生读====逐个读
T:What’s the meaning of the sentences?
学生说出句义,让学生理解so的意思。当学生回答正确时,教师用“Yeah, you’re right!”作答,并将句子写在黑板上,告诉学生Yeah 比Yes 更多用于口语当中。
教师用相同的方法教授句子:The deer is short. 教师提醒学生short一词既有“矮的”意思,也有“短的”意思。
T:(教师请一名程度较好的学生上台)Look at me!I’m tall,you’re short. What about you?(你应该怎样说呢?)
S1:I’m short,you’re tall!
T:Very good!

Step 3 Practice
Listen to the tape of Let’s talk
Ss listen and point.
Ss listen 、point and repeat.
Ss read after teacher.
Ss read together.
Ss read aloud ,they can read or help with each other.
Ss can come to the blackboard and act out the dialogue.(学生上台,分角色朗读对话)
学生利用手中的动物玩具来替换giraffe和deer,教师与程度好的学生进行示范,给学生小组练习的时间,然后仿照例子进行对话练习:
T:OK! Now you can use your toy to make a new dialogue with your partner. For example ,you,please!Look!I have a monkey.
S1:I have a cat.
T:The monkey is big.
S1:The cat is small.
T:Now,you can work in pairs for 2 minutes,then come here and act out the dialogue.
Step 4 Production
Game:丢手绢
请每位学生拿着心爱的玩具围成一圈坐好,有教师先丢手绢,手绢丢在谁的后面,谁就来描述自己的小动物。
T:Well,boys and girls,let’s play a game. If you get the handkerchief, you need describe your animal like this:
教师出示小黑板上的例句:Look!I have a (giraffe).It’s (tall).It has (a long neck).
要正确使用have 和 has。
T:Who can have a try?
S1:Look!I have a cat. It’s short. It has a long tail.
T:Yeah,you’re right!

教师提醒学生have和has 的意义和使用。

学生画出心目中理想动物园,并向家人和朋友用所学英语介绍动物园的动物。
