Ⅱ.完形填空(20分)
Since
the
earliest
times,
people
have
looked
up
at
the
stars,
the
moon
and
the
planets.
Today
people
use
modern
machines
11
at
the
sky.
This
is
very
different
from
the
situation
12
years
ago
when
people
could
only
use
their
eyes.
Perhaps
they
dreamed
of
13
the
universe.When
did
humans
first
go
into
space?
The
story
began
not
so
very
long
ago,
14
the
first
astronauts
were
not
people—they
were
animals.?
Scientists
wanted
to
make
travelling
to
space
as
15
as
possible
for
humans.
So
they
decided
to
experiment
with
animals
and
test
them
in
spaceflights.
Insects,
mice,
frogs,
dogs
and
monkeys
were
some
of
the
animals
that
first
went
into
space.
Many
of
them
16 ,
but
they
helped
to
make
space
travel
safer
for
humans.
For
their
great
service,
we
17
forget
these
animals.?
Albert
II
was
the
first
monkey
to
go
into
space
in
1949.
Sadly
he
died
18
his
spaceship
landed
back
on
the
earth.?
Luckily,
the
result
was
different
for
Ham
the
Monkey.
His
story
ended
happily
when
he
returned
to
the
earth
19
very
good
health.?
Scientists
wanted
to
know
the
answer
to
the
important
question:
Could
an
animal
like
Ham
do
the
same
things
in
space
as
he
could
do
on
the
earth?
The
answer
came
when
Ham
was
sent
into
space
in
1961.
Yes,
he
did
everything
well
and
lived
for
20
16
years.?

China.
FAST
is

China’s
Guizhou
Province.
The
giant
dish
is
built
on
a
bowl-like
valley.
The

as
there
are
no
towns

signals(信号).
The
radio
telescope
is
like
an
ear,
listening
to
tell
meaningful
radio
messages
from
white
noise
in
the
universe.
With
the
help
of
the
telescope,
we
can
receive
weaker

more
radio
messages
far
away
in
space.
It
will
help
us
to
search
for
intelligent
life
outside
of
the
Galaxy
and
explore
the
origins(起源)
of
the
universe.
“Any
of
its
discoveries
will
lead
to
a
Nobel
Prize,”
said
Joseph
Taylor,
a
Nobel
Prize
winner.
The
FAST
project

Ⅳ.任务型阅读(20分)
Men
have
always
wondered
about
the
earth
they
live
on
and
about
the
sky
above
them.
When
early
men
looked
at
the
night
sky,
they
asked
themselves
a
lot
of
questions.
They
looked
at
the
moon,
and
wondered
what
this
strange
bright
object
in
the
sky
was.
They
did
not
understand
why
it
changed
its
shape
from
night
to
night.
They
looked
at
the
stars
and
planets.
They
also
wondered
why
some
of
them
changed
their
positions,
while
others
did
not.
They
also
thought
about
the
shape
of
the
earth.
Most
early
people
believed
the
earth
was
flat.
In
different
parts
of
the
world,
there
were
different
ideas
about
the
universe.
The
ancient
Greeks
were
the
first
people
to
study
the
universe
more
scientifically.
In
the
sixth
century
BC
Pythagoras
put
forward
the
idea
that
the
world
was
round.
However,
he
could
not
explain
why
people
at
the
bottom
of
the
world
did
not
fall
off.?
It
was
not
until
the
sixteenth
and
seventeenth
centuries
that
scientists
found
the
answers
to
some
important
questions.
With
the
help
of
Galileo’s
telescope,
people
could
see
the
sky
more
clearly,
and
find
the
positions
of
the
stars
and
planets.
Finally
in
1665,
Isaac
Newton
explained
to
the
world
what
gravity(重力)
was
and
people
at
last
understood
why
they
did
not
fall
off
the
earth.

Ⅴ.书面表达(20分)
同学们,你们见过彗星吗?彗星到底是什么呢?彗星是在夜空中移动并且闪耀的东西,它像行星一样,本身没有光,它闪烁的光来自太阳光。科学家们认为彗星可能是一块大的岩石。或许很多人见过彗星,但是没有人知道到底有多少颗彗星。根据你的了解及上面的描述,写一下彗星的情况。词数:80左右。
提示词:comet
彗星;
shine
闪耀;
sunlight
阳光;
rock
岩石
详解详析
Ⅰ.1.A 答语中的about“关于”提示用介词on意为“在播放中;关于”。
句意:“新闻在播报什么?”“仍然是关于全球新冠肺炎的新闻。”
2.B find
意为“找到”,强调结果;discover意为“发现”,强调发现已存在而不为人知的事物;look
for
意为“寻找”,强调过程;invent
意为“发明”。
由句意可知选B。
3.B 4.A 5.A
6.B 考查代词。由but可知表示转折,其后应该是否定,排除C、D,neither用于否定两者,上句中提到三个人,故排除A,因此选B。
7.D
8.A 由答句可知,问句句意为“你去过美国吗”,故选A。
9.D 10.C
Ⅱ.11.B use…to
do
sth.意为“使用……做某事”,动词不定式作目的状语,故选B。
12.D
13.D dream
of意为“梦想”,of为介词,后面跟动名词形式,故选D。
14.C 15.A 16.B
17.A 根据上一句“因为它们的巨大贡献”可知此处表示“我们不应该忘记这些动物”,故选A。
18.C 句意:令人伤心的是,它在宇宙飞船降落到地球之后死了。用after引导时间状语从句,表示“在……之后”。
19.C in
good
health意为“身体好”,是固定短语,故选C。
20.A 根据上一句“它所有事情都做得很好”可知此处表示“它又活了16年”,用another表示“又一;再一”。故选A。
Ⅲ.21.A 由短文的第二段内容可知,FAST建在中国的贵州省。故选A。
22.B 由句子“…with
a
dish
the
size
of
30
football
grounds…”可知FAST有30个足球场那么大。giant意为“巨大的”。故选B。
23.B 根据倒数第二段中“With
the
help
of
the
telescope,
we
can
receive
weaker
and
more
radio
messages
far
away
in
space.”可知FAST是用来从遥远的宇宙中收集远程无线电信息的。故选B。
24.A 根据第一段中“The
world's
largest
radio
telescope
was
finished
on
Sept.
25,
2017
in
China.”可推断FAST是世界上最大的射电望远镜。
25.C 根据第一段中“The
world's
largest
radio
telescope
was
finished
on
Sept.
25,
2017
in
China.”可知2017年FAST建成;而最后一段中“The
FAST
project
began
in
2011.”说明人们于2011年开始建造FAST,由此可推断共计花费了约6年的时间。
Ⅳ.【主旨大意】

version:
About
Comets
When
you
look
up
at
the
sky
at
night,
and
see
something
moving
and
shining,
it
might
be
a
comet.
A
comet
sometimes
looks
like
a
star.
Like
a
planet,
a
comet
has
no
light
of
its
own.
It
receives
sunlight
and
shines.
Like
the
earth,
a
comet
goes
around
the
sun.
If
a
comet
isn't
a
star,
what
is
it
then?
Some
scientists
think
it
is
perhaps
a
big
piece
of
rock.
Many
people
perhaps
have
seen
a
comet.
However,
no
one
knows
how
many
comets
there
are.
There
may
be
millions
of
comets,
but
only
a
few
are
close
enough
for
us
to
see.
