Dear Johann,
Our class had a debate and discussed whether it is right for whoever finds valuable cultural relics to keep them. (the question of the debate)
Those who agreed that if you find cultural relics you can keep them had three reasons. First, they said that time and money had been spent looking for them so the finders deserved them. Second, they said nodody would look for lost relics if they could not keep them. Third, they said that there are so many old relics that it does not matter if one or two belong to those who find them. (the ideas that support the question with reasons)
Those who disagreed also had three reasons. First, they said all cultural relics are valuable for finding out about the past. Second, they said that it is dishonest to take things that do not belong to you. Third, they said that every cultural relic belongs to the country and not any one person. (the ideas that disagree with the question with reasons)
We had a class vote. Those who disagreed with the question won. The debate changed the minds of some people who had originally supported your ideas. ( the result of the class vote)

  On 26th January, the biggest earthquake in India took the lives of 25,000 people. In the morning, when everyone was enjoying holidays, earthquake happened. It was about 7.5 on the Richter scale. “There is nothing left between the sky and the earth any more. Everyone fell down.” said one of the villagers alive . “There is no water, no food and no one came to rescue.”
  Nobody died in Pakistan, a country next to India. The city of Lahore was lucky. In Lahore American School, all of the students were safe. They were on the field, so most children didn’t feel anything. The teachers in the second floor felt the earthquake. Although Mrs. Young was also on the second floor, she didn't feel anything. She didn't know what happened until a teacher told her about it. Those teachers on the other floors had different feelings. Mr. Emond, the maths teacher from Australia, said that when the earthquake started he thought there was something wrong with him. But then another teacher said that it was an earthquake. After those words Mr. Emond felt better. Mrs. David and Frost didn't feel anything, either.
  My mother didn't feel anything. She didn't even know that it was an earthquake till she saw a shaking light. My father saw the computer shaking and then he looked out of the window and saw many people going out.

In the United States, the headmasters and teachers discipline(惩罚) students in several ways. The teacher often writes to or calls the students’ parents. Sometimes students have to stay at school for one hour. If a student behaves(表现) very badly, the headmaster can stop the student having classes. The student can’t come to school for one, two or three days. Mr Lazares’s, the headmaster of a middle school in Ohio, did not like to do so. It is the duty of every man to work. The life of a lazy man is of no use to himself or to others. The man who is too lazy to work is generally most ready to beg or to steal. Everybody when he is young should learn some useful work.
But it is not enough that he should learn some kind of work, he should put his heart and soul completely into his work, and not waste his spare time. Work while you work and play while you play is a good rule for all the people.

This means that everybody must be diligent, and must make full use of his time. One must study hard when he is young, so that he may succeed in his life and become useful to his country. Our class had a debate and discussed whether it is right for whoever finds valuable cultural relics to keep them. (the question of the debate)
Those who agreed that if you find cultural relics you can keep them had three reasons. First, they said that time and money had been spent looking for them so the finders deserved them. Second, they said nodody would look for lost relics if they could not keep them.
