定冠词the的用法
基本概念：
定冠词the用在表“特指”名词前，共同指明某一具体的人或事物。
二，基本结构：
定冠词The +名词
可数名词单数/不可数名词
可数名词复数
三，基本用法
1.特指双方都明白的人或物，或者上文提到过的人或事。
He bought a house. I've been to the house.
他买了幢房子。我去过那幢房子。
2．指世上独一无二的事物。
the fox (狐狸)，the sun, the sky, the moon, the earth
3．与单数名词连用表示一类事物，如：the dollar“美元”；或与形容词或分词连用表示一类人，如：the rich“富人”；the living“生者”。
4．用在序数词和形容词最高级及形容词only, very, same 等前面。
Where do you live？I live on the second floor.
你住在哪？我住在二层。

6．与复数名词连用，指整个群体。

定冠词the用法口诀：
口诀一： 特指双熟悉，上文已提及；世上独无二，序数最高级；某些专有名，习语及乐器。
口诀二： 1.有水无湖：海、洋、海湾、河等，都用the;单个湖不用the,(但多个湖用the);
2.有球无星：地球，月亮用the;行星不用the: Mars,Venus;
3.有山无峰：The Huangshan Mountains(黄山）；Mount Everest(珠穆朗玛峰）；
4.有独无欧（偶）：独一无二的，the earth,the moon,the sun用the; 欧洲等七大洲不用the.
5.有（足）族无球（运动）：种族用the:the Indians(印第安人)；球类运动 baseball,basketball
6.有文无章：历史性的文件用the;小说等的章节不用the: The Constitution; chapter one
7.学而不专：学校放在词组的前面时用the;专有名词放在词组的前面时不用the; The University of Fudan; Fudan University

2.序数词前面用定冠词与不定冠词的区别
“the＋序数词”表示“第几……”；“a＋序数词”表示“又一，再一”。如：
The cake is delicious，and I would like a_second one.
蛋糕很好吃，我想再吃一块。
3．a number of与the number of的辨析
a number of 意思是“许多”，相当于a lot of；the number of意思是“……的数目，……的数量”，当它作主语时，谓语动词用单数形式。如：
A number of students like playing computer games.
许多学生喜欢玩电脑游戏。
The number of the students is about 1,500 in our school.
我们学校学生的人数大约是1 500。
4．在句型“动词＋人＋介词＋the＋人体部位”中要用the，而不用物主代词。如：
take sb. by the hand 抓住某人的手
