Once
upon
a
time,
a
child
was
ready
to
be
born.
So
he
asked
God,
“How
am
I
going
to
live
there?
I
am
so
small
and
1
.”
God
answered,

2
many
angels,
I
chose
one
for
you.
She
will
be
waiting
for
you
and
will
take
care
of
you.”
The
child
asked,
“Here
I
am
in
Heaven,
I
don't
do
anything
else
3
sing
and
smile.
That’s
enough
for
me
to
be
happy.”
God
answered,
“Your
angel
will
sing
for
you
and
will
also
4
for
you
every
day.
You
will
feel
your
angel's
love
and
be
happy.

The
child
asked,
“How
will
I
learn?
I
don't
know
the
language
that

God
said,
“Your
angel
will

you
the
most
beautiful
and
sweetest
words
you
will
6
hear.
With
much
patience
and
care,
your
angel
will
teach
you
7
to
live.”
The
child
asked,
“What
am
I
going
to
do
when
I
want
to
talk
to
you?”
God
smiled,
“Your
angel
will
8
your
hands
together
and
will
teach
you
how
to
pray.”
The
child
asked,
“Who
will
protect
me?”
God
said,
“Your
angel
will
protect
you
even
if
it
means
risking
her
own
9
.”
At
that
moment
there
was
much
peace
in
Heaven,
but
voices
from
the
earth
could
already
be
heard,
and
the
child
in
a
hurry
asked
softly,
“Oh
God,
if
I
am
about
to
leave
now,
please
tell
me
my
angel's
name.”
“Your
angel's
name
is

You
will
simply
call
your
angel
‘Mom’.”

二.阅读理解
A
Here
is
a
story:
A
man
sees
a
butterfly.
The
butterfly
tries
to
get
out
of
its
chrysalis
(蛹).
Feeling
sorry
for
it,
the
man
decides
to
help.
He
cuts
the
chrysalis
and
the
butterfly
comes
out
easily.
Surprisingly
enough,
the
butterfly
is
unable
to
fly.
If
the
butterfly
doesn’t
struggle
(挣扎)
to
leave
the
chrysalis,
it
can’t
fly!
The
struggle
develops
the
energy
in
the
butterfly
which
makes
it
fly.
Similarly,
the
challenges
(挑战)
of
life
bring
out
the
best
in
young
people
and
make
them
fly.
When
people
are
young,
meeting
and
overcoming
(克服)
challenges
will
make
them
strong
and
ready
to
face
life.
When
we
look
at
successful
people,
we
see
that
the
most
successful
people
have
had
to
struggle.
One
famous
businessman
now
owns
many
big
supermarkets.
He
used
to
carry
clothes
on
his
back
and
sell
them
from
door
to
door
when
he
was
young.
Another
successful
man
is
Dennis.
His
father
died
when
he
was
only
twenty.
His
father’s
death
made
him
grow
up
fast.
He
had
to
bring
up
a
family
of
nine
people.
He
took
up
the
challenges
and
overcame
them.
Today
his
brothers
and
sisters
are
leading
successful
lives.
Sometimes
challenges
do
not
appear
to
us
because
we
keep
away
from
them.
So
some
parents
and
teachers
actively
encourage
young
people
to
face
challenges.
They
might
organize
some
activities
for
young
people
which
provide
them
with
challenges,
like
rock-climbing,
camping,
volunteer
work
and
so
on.
However,
just
passing
exams
will
not
prepare
a
person
for
life.
We
must
meet
and
overcome
challenges.
The
young
people
of
today
will
become
the
leaders
of
tomorrow.
For
countries
to
continue
to
become
successful,
it
is
important
that
the
young
people
learn
to
meet
challenges
and
overcome
them.
1.
From
the
story
we
know
that
the
butterfly
can’t
fly
because
________.
A.
it
gets
out
by
itself
B.
the
man
feels
sorry
for
it
C.
it
tries
to
challenge
itself
D.
the
man
helps
it
come
out
2.
Dennis’s
example
shows
that
successful
people
should
________.
A.
overcome
the
difficulties
B.
take
up
business
early
C.
become
the
leaders
of
tomorrow
D.
sell
clothes
from
door
to
door
3.
What
is
the
writer
trying
to
do
in
this
passage?
A.
Describe
where
a
butterfly
comes
from.
B.
Encourage
young
people
to
face
challenges.
C.
Suggest
how
to
become
a
successful
businessman.
D.

if
a
person
fails
the
exam.

Technology
is
everywhere.
We
see
it
any
place
we
go
to
and,
in
fact,
almost
all
of
us
carry
some
piece
of
technology
with
us
every
time
we
leave
the
house.
What
I
always
forget
is
just
how
useful
and
powerful
technology
can
be
when
we
want
to
help
others.
Every
room
in
my
house
has
some
electronic
devices
(设备).
Whenever
I
am
at
home,
I
am
almost
always
using
at
least
one
electronic
device.
If
you
walked
into
my
living
room
on
any
given
day,
you
would
find
that,
first,
I
have
the
television
on.
At
the
same
time,
I
usually
have
my
laptop
resting
on
my
knee,
or
I
will
be
using
my
mobile
phone.
Even
when
I’m
not
at
home
I
am
always
using
my
phone,
and
at
work
or
in
cafes,
I
sit
down
and
connect
to
the
local
wireless
network.
I
must
say
that
I
waste
a
lot
of
time
on
the
computer
and
the
time
I
spend
on
it
could
be
much
better
spent
if
I
were
to
take
up
a
little
online
volunteering.
The
technology
we
carry
about
everywhere
can
have
a
great
power
to
do
good
for
the
world
and
to
help
others
and
recently
I
discovered
just
how
much
online
volunteering
there
is
to
do
in
the
world.
From
using
your
language
skills
to
do
translations,
to
developing
and
managing
projects
and
helping
with
IT
work,
there
is
so
much
that
so
many
people
can
do
to
help
people
in
their
own
countries
and
across
the
world.
The
United
Nations,
in
fact,
has
a
huge
page
with
“Volunteers
Recruited”
on
its
website.
This
work
can
support
the
poor
and
help
charities
who
cannot
pay
for
staff.
Many
organizations
only
need
you
to
work
an
hour
a
week—some
even
less.
And
online
volunteers’
support
can
really
help
make
a
difference
to
those
in
need.

C
My
daughter
finally
lost
her
first
tooth.
She
waited
for
this
moment
for
more
than
a
year.
Most
of
the
kids
in
the
first
grade
lost
not
only
one
tooth,
but
several.
But
my
daughter
kept
waiting
impatiently.
Then,
she
finally
got
a
loose
(松的)
tooth.
I
never
saw
her
so
happy

except
on
Christmas,
Children’s
Day
or
her
birthday.
Last
Friday
night,
she
was
eating
an
apple,
and
the
tooth
started
to
become
loose.
Minutes
later,
my
daughter
shouted
happily.
The
tooth
was
out!
I
cleaned
it
off
and
put
it
under
her
pillow
(枕头).
When
she
went
to
bed
that
night,
my
daughter
wondered,
“Will
the
tooth
fairy
(牙仙)
let
me
keep
the
tooth?”
I
told
her
she
might
and
she’d
have
to
wait
and
see.
The
tooth
fairy
comes
from
an
old
story.
It’s
believed
that
when
a
kid
loses
his
first
tooth
and
puts
it
under
his
pillow,
the
tooth
fairy
will
come
to
visit
him
when
he
is
sleeping.
If
the
tooth
fairy
sees
the
kid
and
loves
him,
she
will
leave
some
money
under
his
pillow
without
taking
away
the
tooth.
If
she
doesn’t
think
the
kid
lovely
enough,
she
will
still
leave
some
money
but
take
the
tooth
away
and
then
I
put
a
dollar
in
my
bag
so
that
I’d
remember
to
put
it
under
my
daughter’s
pillow.
However,
I
forgot.
Luckily,
her
dear
dad
remembered.

If
you
drop
a
piece
of
fruit
on
your
computer
keyboard,
will
you
think
about
eating
it
again?
What
if
you
drop
it
in
the
toilet?
Bacteria
(细菌)
can
live
here
and
there,
even
in
some
unexpected
places.
If
you
eat
at
your
computer
or
sit
down
to
surf
the
Internet
without
first
washing
your
hands,
your
computer
keyboard
could
be
bad
for
your
health.?According
to
the
US
National
Research
Centre,
the
average
computer
carries
400
times
more
bacteria
than
a
toilet
bowl.
Could
one
of
the
dirtiest
things
in
your
home
be
right
in
your
hand?
Yes,
the
TV
remote
control.
It
gets
dropped
on
the
floor,
put
on
the
sofa
and
everyone
in
the
house
holds
it.
Scientists
found
that
around
half
of
the
tested
remote
controls
carry
the
cold
virus
(病毒).
Don’t
forget
your
toothbrush.
Do
you
put
it
in
the
bathroom?
Studies
show
that
flushing
(抽水冲洗)
the
toilet
releases
bacteria
in
the
air.
Bacteria
can
remain
in
the
air
for
at
least
two
hours.
They
may
pollute
your
toothbrush.
You
can
find
ways
to
solve
this
problem.
Try
to
keep
your
toothbrush
far
from
the
toilet.
Make
sure
that
it
is
in
an
upright
position
after
each
use.
It’s
also
important
to
change
your
toothbrush
every
three
months.
The
kitchen
is
one
of
the
places
with
the
most
bacteria—more
than
the
bathroom.
Dishcloths
and
kitchen
sponges
(海绵)
are
great
places
for
bacteria
since
they
are
always
wet
after
being
used.
Try
to
make
them
dry.
Bacteria
are
everywhere,
but
don’t
be
too
afraid
to
touch
those
things.
Most
of
bacteria?are
harmless.
Just
remember
to
wash
your
hands
often.
It
is
the
most

way
to
protect
yourself
from
bacteria
and
viruses.
