—It’s Wednesday.星期三
句型what day… 用来询问星期几或节日。
eg. —What day is it today
—It’s Teachers’ Day.
2、—What class are they having 他们在上什么课？
—They are having a music class. 他们在上音乐课。
此处what class 是用来询问“什么课程”，class 与lesson 同义。
Eg. Morning classes begin at eight o’clock.= Morning lessons begin at eight o’clock.
[衔接] ①class 班级。如：
—What class are you in —I’m in Class One, Grade Seven.
②class 一个班级的全体学生。此时是集合名词。如：
Good morning, class!
2) have a music class/ lesson 上音乐课。如：
We are having English class/ lesson.
working on math problems 解数学题
词句中 work on 意为“从事……，致力于…..”其中on 是介词。如：
He is working on a new novel. 他正在写一部新小说。
On 作介词时含义很多，因此在句中与work 搭配时，根据具体语境可以有多种译法。
【比较】1）My father works on a farm.我爸爸在农场工作。（表示工作场所）
2）He is working on computers. 他正在用电脑工作。（表示工作方式）
4、learn与learn about 的区别
1)learn意思是“学、学习、学会”。如：
Where does the boy learn English 这个男孩在哪里学的英语
2)learn about意思是“听到、得到、熟悉、了解”。如：
I want to learn about the town’s history. 我想了解该城镇的历史。
