1.教学内容分析
本部分学习的是形容词的比较级形式：smaller，bigger,
thinner,
heavier,
stronger。教材通过孩子们郊游的场景呈现了单词比较级的词形和意义。
2.学习者分析
学生已学过一些形容词的比较级，已经初步了解了比较级的词形变化，教师帮助学生在情景中理解更多形容词比较级的用法，并引导学生观察、发现新的形容词比较级的变化规律，对少部分学生有难度。
3.学习目标确定
认知目标：能够听、说、读、写五个形容词的比较级：bigger,
smaller,
thinner,
heavier,
stronger；了解有的形容词原级变为比较级要双写词尾字母，再加-er或变y为i
，再加-er.
能力目标：能够正确运用本课时的四会单词描述人物的外貌特点.
情感目标：教育学生之间要互帮互助

(2)学生跟读模仿体重的表达方法,然后用英语说出自己的身高。
(3)学生跟读模仿说比较身高的句子,然后和同学之间作比较。
(4)学生听录音并回答问题。学生听音跟读，两人一组模仿读对话。
(5)学生用heavier，thinner对Jim
和John作比较。

（6）学生观察并尝试读出这两个单词，并根据前面学过的句子尝试用bigger\smaller说出Wu
Yifan的脚和Mike的脚作比较的句子。

（8）学生小组讨论总结规律。
活动意图说明：学生在一个真实的情景中学习运用比较身高、体重的句子。因为是新年伊始，学生的年龄、身高、体重都发生了变化，容易激发学生兴趣，让学生在不知不觉中练习了重难点句型。
