Stefano
Boeri,
the
Italian
architect,
famous
for
his
Bosco
Verticale,
a
group
of
tree-covered
skyscrapers
in
Milan,
introduced
his
new
plans
to
pioneer
a
similar
project
in
the
Chinese
city
of
Nanjing.
The
Chinese
version
of
Boeri’s
Bosco
Verticale,
or
vertical
forest,
will
be
his
first
project
in
Asia.
The
project
will
consist
of
two
neighboring
towers
that
will
be
coated
with
23
different
species
of
trees
and
more
than
2,
500
kinds
of
bushes
hanging
down
the
sides
of
the
buildings.
The
structures
will
be
built
with
the
ability
to
house
offices
and
will
feature
a
247-room
luxury
hotel,
as
well
as
a
museum
and
even
a
green
architecture
school.
The
towers
are
currently
under
construction
and
are
set
for
completion
within
the
next
year.
But
two
buildings
aren’t
enough
for
the
ambitious
Boeri
as
he
now
has
even
bolder
plans
for
China
to
create
“forest
cities”
in
a
country
that
has
become
known
as
an
urban
center
choking
on
poisonous
gases
and
dust.
In
an
interview
about
his
plans
to
“greenify”
the
city
and
country
Boeri
said,
“We
have
been
asked
to
design
an
entire
city
where
you
don’t
only
have
one
tall
building,
but
you
have
100
or
200
buildings
of
different
sizes,
all
with
trees
and
plants
on
the
sides.
”
Boeri
continued,
“We
are
working
very
seriously
on
designing
all
the
different
buildings.
I
think
they
will
start
to
build
at
the
end
of
this
year.
By
2020
we
could
imagine
having
the
first
forest
city
in
China.
”
Although
these
towers
will
lend
a
huge
hand
in
decreasing
air
pollution
in
China’s
eastern
city,
Boeri
has
said,
it
will
take
more
than
a
pair
of
tree-covered
skyscrapers
to
really
solve
China’s
pollution
crisis.
This
is
why
the
Italian
architect
hopes
to
repeat
his
design
in
other
parts
of
the
country,
as
well
as
in
other
places
around
the
world.
【文章大意】本文是一篇记叙文。Stefano

for
cancer

smiles
into
it.
The
plug-in

like
a

comes
equipped
with
a
mirror,
a
built-in
camera,
and
a
smart

triggered(触发)by
some
software.
Facial
recognition
technology
captures
the
face
and
instructs
the
surface
of
the
mirror
to
change
when
a
smile
is
detected.
It
can
hang
on
a
wall
or
sit
on
a
table,
much
like
a
conventional
mirror.
Unlike
a
regular
mirror,
however,
the
price
is
currently
standing
at
a
surprising
$2,
000—$3,
000.
After
witnessing
a
close
family
member
struggle
through
cancer
treatments,
Turkish
industrial
designer
Berk
Ilhan
decided
to
focus
his
work
primarily
on
products
that
would
cultivate
joy
and
benefit
cancer
patients
directly.
“She
told
me
in
the
first
days
after
her
diagnosis,
it
was
difficult
for
her
to
look
in
the
mirror
and
acknowledge
she
had
cancer.
”he
said.
“Our
facial
expressions
affect
how
we
feel.
If
we
flex(活动)
our
facial
muscles
to
smile,
our
brains
think
that
something
good
happened
and
as
a
result,
we
feel
happiness.
”
After
earning
his
master’s
degree
at
the
School
of
Visual
Arts
in
New
York,
Ilhan
spent
several
weeks
visiting
cancer
hospitals
in
Turkey,
speaking
to
both
patients
and
doctors.
He
spent
two
years
designing
and
developing
the
mirror.
The
idea
behind
it
is
that
smiling,
even
when
forced,
can
make
us
feel
better,
according
to
research
known
as
the
facial
feedback
hypothesis.
Laughter
is
linked
to
improved
immune
system
function,
and
some
researchers
claim
it
can
even
increase
our
lifespans.
Ilhan
is
currently
producing
the
mirror
in
limited
quantities
at
the
previously
mentioned
price.
The
product,
however,
will
soon
be
launching
a
campaign
in
which
Ilhan
hopes
to
raise
enough
funds
to
bring
the
price
down
to
$500.
He
also
intends
to
donate
the
mirror
to
hospitals
when
it
is
financially
possible
to
do
so.

B.
It
faces
potential
danger.
C.
It
is
surrounded
by
the

尤其是“Please
leave
me
alone.
Keep
your
dog

当时有人在那只小蓝企鹅旁边竖了一个牌子警示人们不要打扰它,
不要让狗靠近它。由此可推知,
对于那只小蓝企鹅来讲,
这个世界是可怕的,
因为它面临着一些潜在的危险。故B项正确。
5.

式,
作伴随状语。故填making。
5.
【解析】are
held。主语temple
fairs“庙会”与谓语hold“举办”之间是被动关系,

excited
experts.
Water
is
necessary
for
life,
and
scientists
have
long
hoped
to
prove
that
it
is
present
on
Mars.
Cassie
Stuurman
is
a
geophysicist
at
the
University
of
Texas.
In
2016,
she
found
evidence
of
a
huge
ice
deposit(沉积)
on
Mars.
“If
these
researchers
are
right,
this
is
the
first
time
we’ve
found
evidence
of
a
large
water
body
on
Mars.
”Stuurman
said.
Researchers
are
not
yet
sure
how
deep
the
area
of
water
is.
So,
they
cannot
say
whether
it
is
an
underground
pool,
or
just
an
area
of
soft
and
wet
soil.
In
order
to
find
the
water,
Italian
researchers
examined
radar
signals.
The
signals
were
collected
over
three
years
by
the
European
Space
Agency’s
Mars
Express
spacecraft.
The
results
suggest
that
a
20-kilometer-wide
water
body
lies
below
ice
that
is
1.
5
kilometers
thick.
They
believe
the
area
is
close
to
the
planet’s
southern
pole.
Mars
is
very
cold,
but
salt
in
the
water
may
have
kept
it
from
freezing.
It
is
the
same
as
when
you
put
salt
on
a
road
to
prevent
ice
from
forming.
The
water
would
be
extremely
cold,
right
at
the
point
where
it’s
about
to
freeze.
And
it
would
be
salty.
Such
conditions
are
not
ideal
for
life
to
form.
But,
she
said
there
are
bacteria
on
the
earth
that
have
been
able
to
survive
in
similar
conditions.
Mars
has
been
a
popular
planet
for
exploration,
with
some
groups
placing
instruments
on
its
surface
and
others
examining
it
from
space.
In
May,
NASA

阅读填句
(2021·佛山模拟)
阅读下面短文,
从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项

Leaving
a
good
impression
can
be
done
in
different
ways,
from
clothing
to
posture,
and
from
talking
style
to
body
language.
Below
are
several
tips
for
you
to
begin
with:
●Physical
appearance
matters.
We’re
visual
creatures
after
all.
Physical
appearance
is
the
first
clue
one
relies
on
to
judge
who
we
are.

It

If

be

of
the

or
culture.

in
our
attempts
to
leave
a

impression.
It
is
understandable
that
sometimes
it
is
hard
to
suddenly
force
a
smile.
4
Remember
being
positive
plays
an
important
part
in
shaping
our
first
impression.
?
●Look
into
people’s
eyes
until
you
see
the
colors
of
their
irises

Keeping
eye
contact
delivers
a
sense
of
friendship
to
the
people
we
interact
with.
Consequently,
they
feel
more
connected
to
us
and
tend
to
be
more
positive
toward
the
interaction.

Well,
try
to
identify
the
color
of
the
others’
irises.
Get
it?
That

example.

Are
these
the
impressions
we
want
to
leave?
Stop
staring
at
the
ground
and
look
at
people
in
the
eye
then!
A.
What
makes
a
quality
eye
contact?
B.
How
does
eye
contact
affect
interaction?
C.
The

D.
Then
at
least
try
not
to
look
discouraging
and
angry!
E.
Don’t
fake

or
people
will
doubt
your
sincerity.
F.
Always
smile
while
interacting
with
others,
especially
with
a
new

G.
Besides,

way
to
show
respect
by
choosing
appropriate
clothes
for
different
settings.

By

To

the
girls

speaking
ill

of

I
quickly

in
“How

I
heard
myself
saying
“What
could
my

by
giving
me
such
a
stupid
gift?
My
grandmother
wouldn’t
even
want
it.

The
girls
laughed
at
my
remarks
and
rushed
out
of
the

I
stayed
to

my

概要写作
阅读下面短文,
根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。
Teaching
Is
“One
of
the
Least
Popular
Jobs
in
the
UK”
The
UK
government
has
just
published
a
report
on
the
future
of
secondary
school
teaching,
and
the
conclusion
of
the
report
is
that
many
secondary
schools
now
face
great
difficulties
in
finding
people
who
want
to
be
teachers.
Since
the
1980s,
the
number
of
graduates
who
would
“seriously
consider”
teaching
as
a
career
has
fallen
sharply,
from
64%
in
1982
to
just
17%
today.
The
report
suggests
that
urgent
action
needs
to
be
taken
in
order
to
encourage
more
intelligent
young
graduates
into
teaching.
The
main
drawback(缺点)of
secondary
teaching,
according
to
the
report,
is
the
low
salary.
Earnings
in
teaching
are
much
lower
than
in
many
other
jobs.
Joanne
Manners,
24,
is
a
good
example:
“I
graduated
in
maths
last
year,
and
I
was
thinking
of
doing
a
teacher-training
course
to
become
a
maths
teacher,
but
I
saw
I
could
earn
twice
as
much
if
I
worked
in
marketing
or
advertising,
so
I
decided
not
to
become
a
teacher.
”
It’s
not
just
about
the
money,
however.
The
survey
concluded
that
another
reason
why
people
don’t
want
to
be
teachers
is
that
some
teenagers
behave
very
badly
in
school.
A
lot
of
schools
have
problems
with
discipline,
and
it
seems
clear
that
children
do
not
have
the
same
respect
for
teachers
as
in
the
past.
Here’s
the
view
of
Dave
Hallam,
an
accountant
from
London:
“I
think
parents
are
to
blame.
They
should
have
stricter
rules
with
their
children
at
home
and
also
teach
their
children
to
have
more
respect
for
teachers.
”
The
report
is
clear
that
the
problem
of
teacher
shortage
is
a
very
serious
one.
It
says
that
the
government
should
raise
teachers’
pay
significantly,
to
catch
up
with
workers
in
other
professions.
It
also
indicates
that
the
government
could
launch
a
nationwide
publicity
campaign,
with
some
advertisements
on
TV
and
in
the
newspapers,
to
show
the
positive
sides
of
teaching
to
young
people.

【参考范文】
As
is
reported,
secondary
schools
in
UK
experienced
difficulties
recruiting
young
teachers.
The
reasons
are
low
salary
and
kids’
bad
behaviors.
Therefore,
poorly
behaved
students
need
to
obey
stricter
rules
and
parents
need
to
discipline
them
at
home.
Also,
government
should
increase
teachers’
income
and
promote
a
teaching
campaign
to
display
teaching’s
bright
side.
