Learn about syllables
English words are made up of different parts. These parts are called syllables. Every word has one or more syllables.

Syllables
A syllable usually has a vowel sound(并非元音字母，是元音音素）. However, the consonant sounds in bold（粗体） in the following words are separate syllables too.
