A
(2019·石家庄高一检测)
I
think
a
close
friend
is
someone
you
get
on
really
well
with,
who
helps
you
when
you
have
problems,
who
gives
you
advice,
and
who
always
has
time
for
you.
I
didn’t
use
to
have
many
close
friends
when
I
was
at
school
or
at
university
as
I
was
very
shy,
but
now
I
have
several.
They
are
all
women

I
think
it’s
difficult
to
have
a
close
friend
of
the
opposite
sex
(异性).
—Marie
I
don’t
really
have
any
close
friends.
I
know
a
lot
of
people
but
mainly
through
work,
and
the
social
occasions
(场合)
when
we
meet
are
business
dinners
and
evening
parties,
things
like
that.
I
think
if
you
come
from
a
really
close
family,
then
friends
are
a
bit
unnecessary.
I
prefer
to
spend
the
little
free
time
I
have
with
my
family.
—Richard
I
think
a
close
friend
is
someone
who
you’ve
known
for
a
long
time,
and
who
you
still
get
on
with.
They
probably
have
similar
hobbies
to
you
so
you
can
do
things
together.
I’ve
got
three
close
friends
who
I
was
at
high
school
with
and
we
often
go
out
together
(without
our
parents
of
course).
We
always
go
camping,
go
walking,
play
football
and
be
outside
in
the
open
air.
—David
For
me,
close
friends
are
the
people
you
spend
your
free
time
with.
I
go
out
at
weekends
with
a
group
of
people

there
are
about
seven
of
us,
and
I’d
say
we
are
all
close
friends.
We
also
live
near
each
other.
I
don’t
think
you
can
have
close
friends
at
a
distance
(在远处);
you
need
to
be
able
to
see
each
other
often.
But
I
don’t
think
you
need
to
be
doing
the
same
things.
I
mean
I’m
at
university
but
none
of
my
friends
are.
—Anna

As
more
and
more
people
speak
the
global
languages
of
English,
Chinese,
Spanish,
and
Arabic,
other
languages
are
rapidly
disappearing.
In
fact,
half
of
the
6,

around
the
world
today
will
likely
die
out
by
the
next
century,
according
to
the
United

Cultural
Organization
(UNESCO).
In
an
effort
to
prevent
language
loss,
scholars
from
a
number
of
organizations—UNESCO
and
National

among
them—have
for
many
years
been
documenting
dying
languages
and
the
cultures
they
reflect.
Mark
Turin,
a
scientist
at
the
Macmillan
Center,
Yale
University,
who
specializes
in
the
languages
and
oral
traditions
of
the
Himalayas,
is
following
in
that
tradition.
His
recently
published
book,
A
Grammar
of
Thangmi
with
an
Ethnolinguistic
Introduction
to
the
Speakers
and
Their
Culture,
grows
out
of
his
experience
living,
looking
and
raising
a
family
in
a
village
in
Nepal.
Documenting
the
Thangmi
language
and
culture
is
just
a
starting
point
for
Turin,
who
seeks
to
include
other
languages
and
oral
traditions
across
the
Himalayans
reaches
of
India,
Nepal,
Bhutan,
and
China.
But
he
is
not
content
to
simply
record
these
voices
before
they
disappear
without
record.
At
the
University
of
Cambridge
Turin
discovered
a
wealth
of
important
materials—including
photographs,
films,
tap
recordings,
and
field
notes—which
had
remained
unstudied
and
were
badly
in
need
of
care
and
protection.
Now,
through
the
two
organizations
that
he
has
founded—the
Digital
Himalaya
Project
and
the
World
Oral
Literature
Project—Turin
has
started
a
campaign
to
make
such
documents,
found
in
libraries
and
stores
around
the
world,
available
not
just
to
scholars
but
to
the
youngers.
Generations
of
communities
from
whom
the
materials
were
originally
collected.
Thanks
to
digital
technology
and
the
widely
available
Internet.
Turin
notes,
the
endangered
languages
can
be
saved
and
reconnected
with
speech
communities.

阅读理解
A
Being
thirteen
has
certain
problems
that
only
another
thirteen-year-old
would
understand.
The
biggest,
I
think,
is
learning
to
get
along
well
with
adults.
I
have
found
that
when
dealing
with
grown-ups,
it
is
wise
to
remember
two
things.
1.
Always
use
your
head
2.
Never
use
your
head
For
instance,
one
day
just
before
supper,
my
mother
sent
me
to
the
store
for
a
loaf
of
whole-wheat
bread.
They
didn’t
have
any.
When
I
told
my
mother,
she
said,
“Well,
what
kind
did
you
get?

I
told
her
I
didn’t
get
any.
She
looked
as
if
I
had
just
announced
that
I
was
leaving
home
for
good.
“For
goodness’
sake!

she
said,
“If
they
hadn’t
had
whole-wheat,
you
should
have
got
something
else!
Why
don’t
you
use
your
head?

Not
long
after
that,
she
sent
me
to
the
store
for
red
oilcloth.
They
didn’t
have
any,
so
I
bought
seven
yards
of
purple.
I
thought
it
was
pretty.
Mother
didn’t.
She
said,
“Who
ever
heard
of
purple
oilcloth
in
a
red
kitchen?

I
told
her
I
was
only
trying
to
use
my
head.
She
said.
“Well,
don’t!
And
in
the
future,
if
you
can’t
get
what
I
send
you
for,
don’t
get
anything.

See
what
I
mean?
There
are
other
things
that
seem
a
little
strange,
too.
If
my
father
goes
out
for
the
evening,
he
tells
me
to
“look
after”
my
mother
and
sister.
But
if
the
family
goes
out,
and
I
want
to
stay
home,
my
father
won’t
let
me.
He
doesn’t
feel
comfortable
if
I
am
home
alone.
That
means
I
am
old
enough
to
“look
after”
my
mother
and
sister
but
not
old
enough
to
“look
after”
myself.
Another
problem
is
what
to
do
when
you
trip
over
the
cat
and
land
with
your
head
in
the
refrigerator,
causing
a
large
lump(肿块)
to
appear
just
over
the
right
eyebrow.
In
that
case,
your
father
could
feel
free
to
say
with
a
few
choice
words.
Your
sister
could
shed(流出)enough
tears
to
dampen
the
whole
room.
Your
mother
could,
and
probably
would,
do
both.
But
you?
You
are
thirteen
and
can’t
do
anything!
You
are
too
young
to
curse(咒骂),
and
“big
boys”
don’t
cry.
So
you
just
stand
there
looking
more
stupid
than
usual.
But
in
spite
of
all
this
I
still
think
thirteen
is
a
wonderful
age!
【语篇概述】本文主要介绍了一个13岁孩子的困惑,
该如何解决呢?

D.
learning

grown-ups
【解析】选D。细节理解题。根据第一段第二句“The
biggest,
I
think,
is
learning
to
get
along
well
with
adults.
”可知,
故选D。
2.

go
shopping
by

and
I
want
to
stay
home,
my
father
won’t
let
me.
He
doesn’t
feel
comfortable
if
I
am
home
alone.
”内容可知,
家人外出时,
作者想留在家中,
父亲却反对。后文中接着提到作者认为父亲应该认同其保护自己的能力,
允许其独自在家,
故选B。
3.
The
author
complains(抱怨)that
there
is
no
acceptable
way
for
a
thirteen-year-old
boy
to
______.
?
A.

爸爸说了几句安慰的话,
姐姐心疼哭得很厉害,
妈妈既心疼得哭了又安慰他,
但自己什么也做不了,
既不能咒骂又不能哭只能傻傻站着,
故选D。
4.
The
author
believes
being
a
boy
of
thirteen
is
______.
?
A.
frustrating
B.
painful
C.

tiring
【解析】选C。推理判断题。根据最后一句“But
in
spite
of
all
this
I
still
think
thirteen
is
a
wonderful
age!

可知,
即使如此,
“我”还是认为13岁是个美好的年纪,
故选C。
B
If
you
have
ever
been
discouraged
because
of
failure,
please
read
on.
Usually,
achieving
what
you
set
out
to
do
is
not
the
important
thing.
Let
me
explain.
Two
brothers
decided
to
dig
a
deep
hole
behind
their
house.
As
they
were
working,
several
older
boys
stopped
by
to
watch.
“What
are
you
doing?

asked
one
of
the
visitors.
“We
plan
to
dig
a
hole
all
the
way
through
the
earth!

one
of
the
brothers
answered
excitedly.
The
older
boys
began
to
laugh,
telling
the
younger
ones
that
digging
a
hole
all
the
way
through
the
earth
was
impossible.
After
a
long
silence,
one
of
the
diggers
picked
up
a
bottle
full
of
spiders
and
insects.
He
removed
the
lid(盖子)
and
showed
the
wonderful
contents
to
the
visitors
who
were
laughing
at
them.
Then
he
said
quietly
and
confidently,
“Even
if
we
don’t
dig
all
the
way
through
the
earth,
look
at
what
we
found
along
the
way!

Their
goal
was
far
too
difficult,
but
it
made
them
big.
And
that
is
what
a
goal
is
for—to
make
us
move
in
the
direction
we
have
chosen.
In
other
words,
it
sets
us
digging!
But
not
every
goal
will
be
fully
achieved.
Not
every
job
will
end
successfully.
Not
every
hope
will
come
to
pass.
Not
every
love
will
last.
But
when
you
fall
short
of
your
aim,
perhaps
you
can
say,
“Yes,
but
look
at
what
I
found
along
the
way!
Look
at
the
wonderful
things
which
have
come
into
my
life
because
I
tried
to
do
something!

And
I
believe
it
is
the
joy
in
the
journey,
in
the
end,
that
truly
matters.
【语篇概述】并非每一个目标都要实现,
并非每一项任务都要完成,
并非每一个梦想都要成真,
并非每一份爱恋都能长久。我们的目标可能遥不可及,
但是其真正的意义在于它指引我们前行,
而不是要我们一定实现。请记住:
旅途中的快乐才是最重要的!
5.
One
of
the
brothers
showed
a
bottle
to
the
older
boys
to
______.
?
A.
present
what
tools
they
were
using
B.
show
what
they
had
found
in
their
digging
C.
frighten
them
away
D.
make
them
curious
【解析】选B。细节理解题。根据第四段中的“one
of
the
diggers
picked
up
a
bottle
full
of
spiders
and
insects.
He
removed
the
lid
and
showed
the
wonderful
contents
to
the
visitors
who
were
laughing
at
them.
”可知,
其中一个挖洞的人捡起了一个装满着蜘蛛和昆虫的瓶子,
他把瓶盖去掉后,
让嘲笑的人看看他们挖到的好东西,
故选B。
6.
We
can
infer
from
the
passage
that
______.
?
A.
digging
a
hole
all
the
way
through
the
earth
is
impossible
B.
the
writer
thinks
that
the
two
brothers
will
reach
their
goal
one
day
C.
a
goal
is
something
that
we
have
chosen
and
want
to
achieve
D.
everyone
can
succeed
if
he
sets
a
goal
【解析】选C。推理判断题。根据倒数第二段可知,
实现他们的目标太困难了,
但是这让他们成长,
这就是目标的意义:
让我们朝着我们选择的方向前进。这说明目标是我们选择并想实现的东西,
尽管不一定能实现。“a
goal
is
something
that
we
have
chosen
and
want
to
achieve”符合语境,
故选C。
7.
What
is
the
best
title
for
the
passage?
A.
Failure
is
the
mother
of
success
B.
Where
there
is
a
will,
there
is
a
way
C.
No
pains,
no
gains
D.
Joy
in
the
journey
【解析】选D。主旨大意题。根据最后一段可知,
当没有实现目标时,
人们依然可以说:
“目标是没有实现,
但是看看一路上我发现的好东西!
看看因为我努力去做某事得到的那些进入到我生活中的好东西”。作者坚信旅途中享受的快乐才真正有意义。“Joy
in
the
journey”符合语境,
故选D。

A
If
you
want
someone
to
open
up
to
you,
just
make
them
laugh.
Sharing
a
good
laugh
makes
people
more
willing
to
tell
others
something
personal
about
themselves,
without
even
necessarily
being
aware
that
they
are
doing
so.
These
are
among
the
findings
of
a
study
led
by
Alan
Gray
of
University
College
London
in
the
UK.
The
study
was
published
in
the
journal
Human
Nature.
?
Gray
and
his
colleagues
gathered
112
students
from
Oxford
University
in
England,
into
groups
of
three.
It
was
the
first
time
that
the
students
had
seen
one
another.
The
groups
watched
a
10-minute
video
together,
without
chatting
with
one
another.
The
videos
differed
in
the
amount
of
laughter
and
positive
feelings
they
produced.
One
featured
a
stand-up
comedy
by
Michael
McIntyre,
another
a
golf
instruction
video,
and
the
third
a
pleasant
nature
documentary
of
the
BBC’s
Planet
Earth
series.
The
levels
of
laughter
and
the
students’
emotional
state
after
watching
the
video
were
then
measured.
The
students
who
had
a
good
laugh
together
shared
more
personal
information
about
each
other
than
the
groups
who
did
not
watch
the
funny
video.
Gray
suggests
this
is
not
only
because
it
is
a
positive
experience,
but
because
of
the
physiology(生物反应)behind
a
good
laugh.
It
actually
causes
the
release
of
the
so-called
“happy
hormone(荷尔蒙)”.
The
findings
support
the
idea
that
laughter
encourages
people
to
tell
more
personal
information
to
strangers.
Interestingly,
the
person
who
told
their
personal
information
seldom
noticed
that
he
or
she
had
done
so.
It
was
only
the
listener
who
realized
it
had
happened.
“These
results
suggest
that
laughter
should
be
a
good
topic
for
those
who
are
interested
in
the
development
of
social
relationships.

says
Gray.
This
suggests
laughter
can
serve
as
a
shortcut(捷径)to
forming
new
relationships.
【语篇概述】英国伦敦大学学院通过研究发现:

B
Doctors
are
known
to
be
terrible
pilots.
They
don’t
listen
because
they
already
know
it
all.
I
was
lucky:
I
became
a
pilot
in
1970,
almost
ten
years
before
I
graduated
from
medical
school.
I
didn’t
realize
then,
but
becoming
a
pilot
makes
me
a
better
surgeon(外科医生).
I
loved
flying.
As
I
flew
bigger,
faster
planes,
and
in
worse
weather,
I
learned
about
crew
resource
management
(机组资源管理),
or
CRM,
a
new
idea
to
make
flying
safer.
It
means
that
crew
members
should
listen
and
speak
up
for
a
good
result,
regardless
of
positions.
I
first
read
about
CRM
in
1980.
Not
long
after
that,
an
attending
doctor
and
I
were
flying
in
bad
weather.
The
controller
had
us
turn
too
late
to
get
our
landing
ready.
The
attending
doctor
was
flying;
I
was
safety
pilot.
He
was
so
busy
because
of
the
bad
turn,
he
had
forgotten
to
put
the
landing
gear
(起落架)
down.
He
was
a
better
pilot—and
my
boss—so
it
felt
unusual
to
speak
up.
But
I
had
to.
Our
lives
were
in
danger.
I
put
aside
my
uneasiness
and
said,
“We
need
to
put
the
landing
gear
down
now!

That
was
my
first
real
lesson
in
the
power
of
CRM,
and
I’ve
used
it
in
the
operating
room
ever
since.
CRM
requires
that
the
pilot/surgeon
encourage
others
to
speak
up.
It
further
requires
that
when
opinions
are
from
the
opposite,
the
doctor
doesn’t
overreact,
which
might
prevent
fellow
doctors
from
voicing
opinions
again.
So
when
I’m
in
the
operating
room,
I
ask
for
ideas
and
help
from
others.
Sometimes
they’re
not
willing
to
speak
up.
But
I
hope
that
if
I
continue
to
encourage
them,
someday
someone
will
keep
me
from
“landing
gear
up”.
【语篇概述】作者介绍了自己做医生和飞行员的体会,
强调了倾听别人建议的重要性。
4.
What
does
the
author
say
about
doctors
in
general?
A.
They
like
flying
by
themselves.
B.
They
are
unwilling
to
take
advice.
C.
They
pretend
to
be
good
pilots.
D.
They
are
quick
learners
of
CRM.
【解析】选B。细节理解题。由第一段第二句
“They
don’t
listen
because
they
already
know
it
all.
”可知,
医生往往不喜欢听取建议,
因为他们了解情况,
故选B。
5.
The
author
deepened
his
understanding
of
the
power
of
CRM
when
______.
?
A.
he
saved
the
plane
by
speaking
up
B.
he
was
in
charge
of
a
flying
task
C.
his
boss
landed
the
plane
too
late
D.
his
boss
operated
on
a
patient
【解析】选A。细节理解题。由第二段“‘We
need
to
put
the

’That
was
my
first
real
lesson
in
the
power
of
CRM,
and
I’ve
used
it
in
the
operating
room
ever
since.
”可知,
作者大胆提醒飞行员(主治医生)放下起落架,
第一次感受到了大胆说出来的力量,
且从此以后在手术室也这样做,
故选A。
6.
In
the
last
paragraph
“landing
gear

probably
means
______.
?
A.
following
flying
requirements
B.
over
reacting

different
opinions
C.
listening
to
what
fellow
doctors
say
D.
making
a
mistake
that
may
cost
lives
【解析】选D。词义猜测题。根据本句句意“但是我希望,
如果我继续鼓励他们,
总有人会在某一天阻止我犯将起落架升起来这样严重的错误”可知,
此处
“landing
gear
up”
借指所犯的可能会以生命为代价的错误,
故选D。

Two
good
friends,
Sam
and
Jason,
met
with
a
car
accident
on
their
way
home
one
night.
The
next
morning,
Sam
woke
up
blind.
His
legs
were
broken.
The
doctor,
Mr
Lee,
was
standing
by
his
bed,
looking
at
him
with
a
thoughtful
expression.
When
he
saw
Sam
awake,
he
asked,
“How
are
you
feeling,
Sam?
”Sam
smiled
and
said,
“Not
bad,
doctor.
Thank
you
for
doing
the
operation(手术).
”Mr
Lee
was
moved
by
Sam.
When
he
was
leaving,
Sam
said,
“Please
don’t
tell
Jason
about
it.

“.
.
.
OK,
”Mr
Lee
replied.
Months
later
when
Jason’s
wounds
(伤)healed,
Sam
was
still
very
sick.
Neither
could
he
see
nor
walk.
What
he
could
do
was
just
stay
in
his
wheelchair
all
day
long.
At
first,
Jason
stayed
with
him
for
a
few
days.
But
days
later,
Jason
felt
very
discouraged
and
embarrassed
to
spend
time
staying
with
a
disabled
man
like
Sam.
So
he
went
to
see
Sam
less

less.
He
made
new

From
then
on,
he
didn’t
go
to
visit
Sam

more.
Sam
didn’t
have
any

than
Jason.
He
felt
very

Things
went

Sam
died
a

later.
When
Jason
came,
Mr
Lee
gave
a
letter
to
him.
It
was
from
Sam.
In
the
letter
Sam
said,
“Dear
Jason,
I
am
disabled.
But
I
want
you
to
be
a
healthy
man.
So
I
gave
my
eyes
to
you
so
that
you

as
a
healthy

Now
you
have
new
friends.
I’m
glad
to
see
that
you

healthy
as
usual.
I’m
glad
you
live
a
happy

You
are

best
friend.

Sam”.
When
he
finished
reading
the
letter,
Mr
Lee
said,
“I’ve
promised
that
I
will
keep
this
secret
until
Sam
is
gone.
Now
you
know
it.
”Jason
stood
there.
Tears
ran
down
his
face.

【语篇概述】文章主要讲述了一旦失去了信任,
如何再次建立信任的问题。
1.
【解析】选B。前句说明信任是我们从过去的经历中获得的一种习得行为,
本句对trust进行解释,
即“信任就是相信人”。本句主语It指代前句的主语trust。
2.
【解析】选G。前面说明我们都曾有过不同程度的“失去信任”,
而下句对如果要重新获得人们的信任提供了几种办法,
故推断此处为“人们被深深地伤害过,
而人们无法忍受这样的事情再次发生”,
紧密衔接后句“这是可以理解的”。
3.
【解析】选A。本句是本段的主题句,
根据后句“Having
confidence
in
yourself
will
help
you
make
better
choices
because
you
can
see
what
the
best
outcome
would
be
for
your
well-being.
”可知此段主要讲述要学会信任自己。
4.
【解析】选C。本句是本段的主题句,
根据本段内容可知,
如果有人背叛你,
你就是受害者,
但作为受害者与一直抱着“受害者心态”生活之间还是有区别的。故主题句是“不要把自己看成受害者”。
5.
【解析】选E。主题句是“失去信任并不是失去了一切”,
后面的内容从正反两方面说明失去信任时的做法,
前面已经说明不要消极地看待,
下面就应该说明既要看到事情的积极面,
也不要忽视所发生的事情。

  Since
we
are
social

the

in
large

strength
of

is
our

Social

is
made
up
of

Social

cushions
stress
in
a
number
of
ways.
First,
friends,
relatives

may

Our

Second,
other
people
often

us
with
informational
support.
They
help
us
to
define
and
understand
our
problems
and
find
solutions
to
them.
Third,
we
typically
find
social

supportive.
Taking

helps
us
to

our
social

at

Finally,
