(2019·吉林高一检测)
Ten
minutes
of
gentle
exercise
can
immediately
change
how
certain
parts
of
the
brain
communicate
and
coordinate
(协调)
with
one
another
and
improve
memory
function,
according
to
an
encouraging
new
study.
The
scientists
invited
36
people
of
different
ages
to
the
lab
and
had
them
sit
quietly
on
a
fixed
bicycle
for
10
minutes
or,
on
a
separate
visit,
pedal
the
bicycle
at
a
pace
so
gentle
that
it
barely
raised
their
heart
rates.
It
also
was
short,
lasting
for
only
10
minutes.
Immediately
after
each
session
of
the
sitting
or
slow
pedaling,
the
people
completed
a
computerized
memory
test
during
which
they
would
see
a
brief
picture
of,
for
instance,
a
tree,
followed
by
a
variety
of
other
images
and
then
a
new
image
of
either
the
same
tree
or
a
similar
one.
The
people
would
press
buttons
to
show
whether
they
thought
each
image
was
new
or
the
same
as
an
earlier
shot.
The
test
is
difficult,
since
many
of
the
images
closely
resemble
one
another.
It
requires
rapid,
skillful
scanning
recent
memories
to
decide
whether
a
picture
is
new
or
known.
Next,
the
scientists
had
each
people
repeat
this
process—riding
or
sitting
on
the
bike
for
10
minutes
and
then
completing
memory
testing—but
the
testing
now
took
place
inside
an

machine(磁共振成像仪)that
scanned
the
people’s
brains
while
they
responded
to
the
images.
Then
the
researchers
compared
results.
The
effects
of
the
exercise
were
clear.
The
people
were
better
at
remembering
images
after
they
had
ridden
the
bike,
especially
when
the
images
most
closely
resembled
one
another.
In
other
words,
the
harder
their
memories
had
to
do
their
best,
the
better
they
performed
after
the
exercise.
The
M.
R.
I.
scans
showed
that
memory
parts
of
each
people’s
brain
lit
up
at
the
same
time
with
parts
of
the
brain
associated
with
learning,
indicating
that
these
physically
separate
parts
of
the
brain
were
better
connected
now
than
when
the
people
had
not
first
exercised.

【补偿训练】
(2019·黄石高一检测)
The
impression
you
make
at
the
beginning
of
an
interview
is
very
important.
Employers
often
decide
to
hire
someone
in
the
first
three
minutes
of
the
interview.
They
judge
you
by
your
appearance,
attitude(态度)
and
manners.
A
friendly
smile
when
you
walk
into
the
room
is
important.
A
smile
shows
a
confident(自信的)
and
positive
attitude.
When
you
introduce
yourself,
make
eye
contact
with
the
interviewer.
Some
interviewers
offer
a
handshake.
Others
don’t.
Try
to
be
as
natural
as
possible.
But
pay
attention
to
your
body
language.
The
way
you
sit,
walk,
gesture,
use
your
voice
and
show
feelings
on
your
face
is
all
part
of
your
body
language.
It
makes
the
interviewer
know
how
you
feel
about
yourself
and
the
situation
you
are
in.
Are
you
feeling
positively
about
yourself?
Your
abilities?
Your
interest
in
the
job?
Speak
clearly
and
loudly
enough.
Show
interest
and
enthusiasm
in
your
voice.
When
you
speak,
look
at
the
interviewer.
Also,
don’t
say
negative
things
about
yourself,
or
former
employer.
Listen
to
questions
carefully.
If
you
don’t
understand
a
question,
ask
the
interviewer
to
repeat
or
explain:
“I’m
sorry,
but
I
didn’t
catch
that.

“I’m
not
sure
exactly
what
you
mean.

Almost
everyone
is
nervous
in
a
job
interview.
Interviewers
know
that.
They
don’t
expect
you
to
be
totally
calm
and
relaxed.
But
they
expect
you
to
try
to
control
your
nervousness.
They
expect
you
to
show
confidence
in
your
ability
to
do
the
job.
At
the
end
of
the
interview,
thank
the
interviewer
for
her
or
his
time.
It’s
a
good
idea
to
send
a
short
thank-you
letter
right
after
the
interview,
or
deliver
it
by
hand.
Phone
the
company
if
you
have
not
heard
anything
after
one
week.
Ask
if
they
have
made
a
decision
about
the
job.
Good
luck!

about
the
appointment,
but
when
she
got
to
the
point
about
the
test,
she
stopped.
I
turned
around
and
she
had
tears
in
her
eyes.
I
stared
at
her,
wishing
she
would
say
something,
when
I
realized
what
that
silence
meant.
My
eyes
got
blurry
(模糊的)
and
my
breathing
got
very
ragged.
“The
test
was
positive,
sweetheart.
”she
said.
I
broke
down,
crying.
My
mom
was
trying
to
cool
me
down,
saying
that
Captain
couldn’t
see
me
like
this
and
I
had
to
be
a
big
girl,
when
the
front
door
opened,
and
Captain,
our
three-year-old
sister
Cali,
and
my
father
came
in.
I
walked
out
of
the
kitchen.
I
couldn’t
look
at
him.
Everything
had
just
changed.
He
was
no
longer
that
little
baby
brother
who
was
just
a
normal
little
boy.
We
had
to
move
a
while
later
because
Captain
needed
treatment.
One
day,
I
was
standing
in
the
bus
line
waiting
when
the
“short
bus”
came
and
picked
some
kids
up.
The
children
in
the
other
line
started
making
jokes
about
the
“retards(
智力迟钝者)”on
that
bus
and
I
felt
a
strange
feeling
in
my
stomach,
which
I
had
never
felt
before.
During
a
band
class,
my
teacher,
Mrs
Young,
stopped
our
playing
to
give
us
some
feed-back.
“Guys,
we’re
playing
like
the
kids
on
the
short
bus
!
Come
on!

I
felt
that
same
feeling
I
had
in
the
bus
line.
The
entire
room
was
laughing
when
I
raised
my
hand.
“Yes,
Alexis?

Mrs
Young
asked.
“I
don’t
think
we
should
make
fun
of
the
short
bus,
because
there
are
a
lot
of
people
on
that
bus
who
have
great
personalities
and
have
the
same
feelings
as
we
do.
And
also,
I
know
some
people
on
those
buses
and
they
are
some
of
the
most
caring,
sweetest,
and
smartest
people,
so
I
would
appreciate
it
if
you
didn’t
make
fun
of
them.

Everyone
stared
at
me.
Mrs
Young
apologized
for
the
comment
and
then
started
the
song
again.

1.
【解析】was。考查时态。事情发生在1969年,
是一个过去的时间,
故此处要用一般过去时。
2.
【解析】actually。考查词性转换。空格处修饰动词caught和burned,
故用副词形式actually。
3.
【解析】the。考查定冠词的用法。后面的most
outstanding是最高级,
其前面要用定冠词the。
4.
【解析】or。考查并列连词。句意:
但是河流不是几天或几个月就改变了的。a
few
days和a
few
months为并列关系,
且此句是否定句,
因此要用or连接。
5.
【解析】to
reduce。考查非谓语动词之动词不定式。句中it是形式主语,
真正的主语是动词不定式,
故用to
reduce。该句结构为It

6.
【解析】cleaner。考查形容词比较级。从后面的than可知此处要用比较级,

因此要用that或which引导。
8.

一个是amazing,
另一个是amazed。修饰物(stories)当然用amazing。
9.

再由谓语动词are可知此空要用其名词的复数形式。故填changes。
10.
【解析】patient。考查词性转换。此处用形容词作be的表语。名词patience(耐心)的形容词形式是patient(有耐心的)。

On
one
of
her
trips
to
New
York
several
years
ago,
Eudora
Welty
decided
to
take
a
couple
of
New
York
friends
out
to
dinner.
They
settled
in
at
a
comfortable
East
Side
cafe
and
within
minutes,
another
customer
was
approaching
their
table.
“Hey,
aren’t
you
from
Mississippi?

the
elegant,
white-haired
writer
remembered
being
asked
by
the
stranger.
“I’m
from
Mississippi
too.

Without
a
second
thought,
the
woman
joined
the
Welty
party.
When
her
dinner
partner
showed
up,
she
also
pulled
up
a
chair.
“They
began
telling
me
all
the
news
of
Mississippi,

Welty
said.
“I
didn’t
know
what
my
New
York
friends
were
thinking.

Taxis
on
a
rainy
New
York
night
are
rarer
than
sunshine.
By
the
time
the
group
got
up
to
leave,
it
was
pouring
outside.
Welty’s
new
friends
immediately
sent
a
waiter
to
find
a
cab.
Heading
back
downtown
toward
her
hotel,
her
big-city
friends
were
amazed
at
the
turn
of
events
that
had
changed
their
Big
Apple
dinner
into
a
Mississippi.
“My
friends
said,
‘Now
we
believe
your
stories,
’”
Welty
added.
“And
I
said,
‘Now
you
know.
These
are
the
people
that
make
me
write
them.
’”
Sitting
on
a
sofa
in
her
room,
Welty,
a
slim
figure
in
a
simple
gray
dress,
looked
pleased
with
this
explanation.
“I
don’t
make
them
up,

she
said
of
the
characters
in
her
fiction

years.
“I

Welty’s
people
come
from
afternoons

visiting
with
old
friends,
from
walks
through
the
streets
of
her
native
Jackson,
Miss.
,
from
conversations
overheard
on
a
bus.
It
annoys
Welty
that,
at
78,
her
left
ear
has
now
given
out.
Sometimes,
sitting
on
a
bus
or
a
train,
she
hears
only
a
fragment(片段)
of
a
particularly
interesting
story.

What
makes
a
family?
How
do
family
members
get
along
with
each
other?
Japanese
director
Hirokazu
Koreeda
tries
to
answer
these
questions
in
his
films.
His
latest
film,
Shoplifters,
is
about
his
favourite
topic—family
relations.
With
this
film,
Koreeda
won
this
year’s
Palme
d’Or
(金棕榈奖),
the
Cannes
Film
Festival’s
top
honor.
Shoplifters
tells
the
story
of
a
poor
family
living
in
Tokyo.
Three
generations
living
under
the
same
roof
survive
by
stealing
from
local
shops.
Obviously,
what
they
are
doing
is
wrong.
But
the
director
focuses
more
on
the
heartwarming
details
of
the
family’s
daily
life,
according
to
The
Playlist.
Koreeda
shows
how
the
family
members
love
and
support
each
other.
For
example,
the
family
plans
a
beach
trip
for
the
youngest
sister.
They
carefully
pick
out
swimwear
for
the
girl.
At
the
beach,
they
play
happily.
The
girl
draws
a
picture
to
help
her
remember
their
time
together.
This
causes
viewers
to
forget
about
their
moral
judgments(道德审判).
This
is
another
feature
of
Koreeda’s
filming
style.
He
is
good
at
presenting
ordinary
life.
It’s
slow
and
full
of
small
details—sometimes
it’s
even
boring.
But
there
is
tension(冲突)
present
as
well.
In
Shoplifters,
the
surprise
is
that
the
family
members
don’t
actually
have
blood
ties
to
each
other,
but
they
are
still
closer
than
a
real
family.
They
all
have
their
own
stories.
In
Japan
and
most
other
Asian
countries,
blood
ties
are
what
defines
(定义)
family.
But
Koreeda
questions
that
by
looking
at
different
kinds
of
relations.
【语篇概述】本文讲述的是关于日本导演Hirokazu
Koreeda拍摄的一部电影《小偷家族》。

How
does
the
family
in
Shoplifters
make
a
living?
A.
By
drawing
pictures.
B.
By
working
in
local
shops.
C.
By
begging
from
neighbors.
D.
By
stealing

【技法导练】
阅读理解——标题概括题
文章标题通常有如下要求:
不能过大、过于笼统,
放之四海皆适用;
也不能过小、以偏概全,
挂一漏万。标题是文章中心思想的精练表达,
多为一个名词词组,
短小明了,
涵盖性强。
解题技巧:
1.
做这类题目时,
要在阅读全文的基础上,
把握好层次关系。
2.
注意选项的归纳范围要恰如其分,
干扰项往往是局部信息,
是某一小节或文章里的某一句。所以我们在解题时要反复推敲,
把概括范围过窄或过宽的选项过滤掉。
3.
好的文章标题具有较强的针对性、独特性,
能够准确地概括出这篇短文的主旨大意,
而不是其他文章的大意。

(2019·黄石高一检测)
When
men
get
together,
they
seldom
talk
about
their
feelings
or
inner
thoughts.
However,
they
talk
about
a
lot,
like
their
newest
computer,
how
to
repair
their
car,
or
even
business.
Talk
might
move
to
the
best
place
to
find
fish
or
women,
jump
to
computer
games,
then
continue
to
the
sport
of
the
season.
They
also
like
to
tell
jokes
each
other
and
spend
a
fair
amount
of
time
playing
one-up
and
boasting(吹牛).
Men
seldom
call
each
other
to
chat.
When
man
meets
woman,
he
usually
wants
to
make
a
good
impression.
Many
single
men
try
hard
to
carry
on
amusing,
fun,
and
pleasant
conversations.
They
use
conversation
to
discover
her
interests
and
feelings
in
order
to
learn
how
to
be
attractive
to
her.
Some
men,
either
out
of
nervousness
or
ignorance,
spend
most
of
the
time
talking
about
themselves,
often
appearing
to
brag
about
their
achievements
or
talk
endlessly
about
their
problems
or
work.
Even
the
quietest
man
talks
to
his
woman
when
love
is
new.
?
When
women
get
together,
they
talk
about
feelings
and
relationships,
their
work
and
their
family.
They
enjoy
talking
but
also
want
the
give
and
take
of
talk,
then
listen.
Women
often
call
each
other
to
chat.
Conversation
is
an
important
part
of
most
women’s
lives.
As
relationships
progress,
however,
many
a
man
turns
on
the
television
and
forgets
how
to
talk.
This
raises
anger
and
cry
from
his
woman
partner
who
says,
“You
never
talk
to
me
anymore.

Some
men
start
talking.
Many,
however,
mainly
discuss
their
own
achievements
and
problems.
When
the
woman
starts
talking
about
her
favorite
subjects:
feelings,
family,
relationships,
friends
and
her
work,
many
men
lose
interest
or
bring
the
conversation
back
to
themselves.
Pretty
soon,
the
man
is
back
to
staring
at
the
television
each
night,
wondering
where
his
relationship
has
gone.
The
woman
is
talking
to
her
friends,
mom,
sister,
or
neighbor,
often
about
that
very
relationship
and
how
she
is
hurting.

“Farah,

Jimmy

He

and
we

the
channel
from
the
presidential
primary
debate
I
had
been
watching
to
our
local
Pensacola,
Florida,
station.
No
sooner
had
we
found
coverage
of
the
tornado
than
it
was
on
top
of
us.
It
was
the
loudest
thing
I
have
ever
heard.
The
bones
of
the
house
shook,
and
the
power
went
out.
Pink
insulation
flew
into
the
room
from
a
trapdoor
to
the
attic,
and
the
wind
began
to
roar
through
the
house.
I
didn’t
know
how
or
if
we
would
make
it
down
the
steps.
It
felt
as
if
there
were
no
floor
underneath
me
as
the
wind
lifted
me
off
my
feet.
I
gripped
the
banister
(栏杆)
and
tried
to
move
forward,
but
this
intense
pressure
held
me
in
place.
By
the
time
I
reached
the
closet,
the
tornado
had
been
over
us
for
about
a
minute.
Jimmy
pushed
me
down
to
the
closet
floor,
but
he
couldn’t
get
inside
himself
because
of
the
wind.
I
gripped
Jimmy’s
arm.
My
knees
and
scalp
were
full
of
glass,
but
in
that
moment,
I
felt
no
pain.
?
All
of
a
sudden,
Jimmy
lifted
off
his
feet
like
people
in
tornadoes
do
in
the
movies.
I
thought
he
was
gone.
And
then
everything
stopped.
He
landed
on
his
feet.
In
those
first
quiet
moments,
I
couldn’t
believe
it
was
over.
Jimmy
said
he’d
go
outside
to
check.
“No,

I
said.
“Don’t
leave
me.

Our

says
the
storm
lasted
four
minutes.
In
that
time,
four
of
the
twelve
town

were
completely
destroyed.
Of
the

ours

Amazingly,

injured.
