教学目标:
1、知识与技能目标:
1)学生能够掌握并运用下列词汇:Christmas, Christmas tree, holiday, lights, Santa, special。
2)培养学生初步听力和阅读能力。
2、能力目标:能够运用所学知识用英语简单介绍圣诞节。
3、情感目标:通过了解圣诞节进一步感受西方文化氛围,并联想到中国的春节Spring Festival,通过比较异同,培养学生热爱祖国的情感。
4、文化意识目标:让学生了解中西文化差异。
教学重难点:
能用英语熟练说出什么是圣诞节,圣诞节的时间,在圣诞节需要准备的特殊物品,以及在圣诞节时西方人的活动。
教学过程:
1、Warming-up.
Greetings: Good morning, boys and girls.

导入新课
教师说:Today is December 20th.Christmas is coming!
Christmas is holiday.
Teach the new word holiday.教师手持有声图片For example 举例说明What's holiday
National Day is holiday.
Children 's Day is holiday.
International Workers' Day is holiday.
Teachers' Day is holiday.
教师问学生What's holiday That's right. "holiday"是节日。
教师启发学生问What other holidays do you know

设计意图:通过举例既复习了学习过的节日,又理解了holiday的含义。
初步感受西方圣诞节的氛围:
T: Do you know, what is the biggest holiday in China
S: Yes, Spring Festival is the biggest holiday in China.
教师继续问学生What do you do in Spring Festival
I eat much delicious food and wear beautiful new clothes.
I visit good friends and my family. I watch more wonderful
TV.
T: Here is another big holiday. Let's have a look. OK.
教师播放一段有关西方人过圣诞节的视频.
设计意图:通过丰富多彩的多媒体课件吸引学生的注意力,使学生形象的感觉西方圣诞节的气氛,以及人们的活动,让学生感受一下西方人是如何过圣诞节的 。
学习有关圣诞节的新词汇,出示有声单词图片 。 Christmas tree ----This is a christmas tree. It's so beautiful.
Christmas lights ---- These are Christmas lights on our house.
Santa --------------(因为是人物,改为自我介绍的第一人称口吻)I am Santa . Who am I I am a merry old man in red clothes. Children say I bring toys on Christmas.
教师启发学生用自己的话来描述圣诞老人Santa.
5、播放录音,听力引入。

设计意图:先播放录音使学生了解课文基本内容,并通过预设问题让学生带着问题去听,从而引起兴趣,提高注意力。
学生会很兴奋,积极性很高,争先恐后的回答问题。
教师提出综合性的问题What's Christmas 让学生用畅言智能语音教具带着此问题跟读课文,看谁回答的又好又完整,回答好的有机会获得圣诞老人的小礼物gifts.
教师提示学生从几方面组织语言:when, Western holiday, special, Santa.。采用大声朗读、小组讨论师生互动的方式解决具体问题。学会新知。(学生的积极性和情绪马上会调动起来,会积极行动起来)
教师手持有声教具圣诞老人,给回答上来问题的学生说:
Here is a toy for Christmas. Can you guess a riddle
What is it Now listen carefully.
有声教具玩偶toy says "I am a lovely animal. I look like a bear,
But I don't like meat. I am black and white. I only live in
China. Who am I Can you guess "
答对了教师把礼物给他/她,说"Here you are. You are a clever
Boy /girl. "
没有得到礼物的小朋友还有机会,教师拿出another toy 有声教具玩偶says" I am a big animal. I look like a cat, but I am bigger than a cat. I live in the forest. I like to eat meat. I am the King of all the animals. Who am I Can you guess "
The third toy says" I have two long ears and two red eyes. I like to eat cabbage and carrots. I run very fast. I can jump up and down. Who am I Can you guess "
教师综合叙述解释What's Christmas
教师手持有声教具圣诞老人says" Christmas is December 25th.
It's a Western holiday. People don't work. Children don't
Go to school.
Christmas is special. We have Christmas trees, lights and
Santa. "
7.通过有声图书Christmas来复习这一节课所学有关圣诞节的知识。教师手持一本自制的有声图书与学生一起翻阅聆听回顾所学内容。
