My
senior
year
of
high
school
was
an
extremely
busy
one,
to
say
the
least.
If
I
wasn't
studying
and
worrying
about
my
grades,
I
was
taking
part
in
multiple
extracurricular
activities
or
attempting
to
make
preparations
for
college.
Finally,
as
my
senior
year
began
to
wind
down,
I
got
a
part-time
job
at
the
local
cafe.
I
had
figured
that
the
job
would
be
easy
and,
for
the
most
part,
stress-free.
I
pictured
myself
pouring
excellent
coffee,
making
delicious
cakes
and
becoming
close
friends
with
the
regular
customers.
What
I
hadn't
counted
on
were
the
people
with
great
orders
who
chose
to
use
the
drive-through
window,
or
the
women
who
felt
that
the
coffee
was
much
too
creamy,
or
the
men
who
wanted
their
iced
coffee
remade
again
and
again
until
it
reached
a
certain
level
of
perfection.
There
were
moments
when
I
was
annoyed
with
the
human
race
as
a
whole,
simply
because
I
couldn't
seem
to
please
anyone.
Nevertheless,
I
kept
at
it.
One
miserable
rainy
day,
I
spent
my
afternoon
handing
people
their
orders
and
waiting
as
they
slowly
counted
their
pennies.
I
tried
to
smile
as
the
customers
complained
about
the
rain,
but
it
was
difficult
to
smile
as
they
sat
in
their
temperature-controlled
cars
with
the
windows
rolled
up.
While
I
dealt
with
huge
droplets
of
water
hanging
from
my
visor(帽舌).
On
top
of
that,
no
one
was
tipping.
Every
time
I
looked
into
my
nearly
empty
tip
jar,
grew
more
depressed.
Around
four
o'clock,
one
of
my
regular
customers
named
Hank
came
in
looking
depressed
and
defeated.
My
coworker
and
I
asked
what
the
problem
was
and
if
we
could
help,
but
he
wouldn't
reveal
any
details.
He
just
said
he
felt
like
crawling
into
bed,
pulling
the
sheets
up
over
his
head
and
staying
there
for
a
few
years.
I
knew
exactly
how
he
felt.

I
woke
at
5:30
A.M.
after
a
restless
night’s
sleep.
I
slowly
unzipped
the
tent
door
to
inspect
the
new
day.
Just
like
yesterday,
the
wind
had
dropped.
It
was
another
beautiful
Arctic
day.
I
crawled
out
of
my
sleeping
bag
unwillingly.
I
am
normally
a
morning
person
but
the
intense
cold
outside
made
that
morning
most
unappealing.
Anyhow,
it
was
time
to
greet
Charlie
and
start
the
day.
My
dog
Charlie
was
up
and
it
was
bouncing
up
and
down
at
the
end
of
his
chain
looking
well
rested.
I
poured
what
looked
like
a
pound
of
dog
food
into
his
bowl.
Stepping
out
of
the
tent,
I
looked
around
for
bears
or
tracks
and
saw
none.
It
would
never
be
a
good
thing
to
meet
a
polar
bear.
An
Inuit
(因纽特人)
once
told
me
that
I
should
watch
out
for
polar
bears.
He
said
that
if
I
met
a
polar
bear,
I
should
keep
the
following
rules
in
mind.
First,
keep
eye
contact,
move
sideways
or
slightly
forward,
never
backward,
stay
calm.
Do
not
show
fear
and
stand
beside
a
large
object
to
make
myself
appear
as
large
as
possible.
Weapons
like
flare
gun(信号枪)
are
necessary,
but
do
not
shoot
unless
forced
to.
Don’t
wound
a
bear,
or
you'll
make
it
even
more
dangerous,
and
never
run.
It
was
only
six
o’clock,
so
I
decided
to
have
a
leisurely
breakfast
of
a
bowl
of
milk
powder,
coconut
flakes,
and
butter
mixed
with
warm
water.
I
sat
on
my
sled(雪橇)
to
enjoy
my
first
breakfast
of
the
expedition
only
to
find
that
after
the
third
spoonful
it
was
frozen.
So
much
for
leisurely
breakfasts!
I
added
more
warm
water
and
ate
the
rest
as
fast
as
possible.
Suddenly
I
heard
a
deep,
long
growl
coming
from
Charlie’s
throat.
In
a
flash
I
looked
at
him
and
then
in
the
direction
in
which
he
was
staring.
It
was
a
female
polar
bear
followed
by
two
cubs(幼崽)
slowly,
purposefully,
toward
me.
They
were
two
hundred
yards
away.
Paragraph
1:
With
my
heart
quickening,
I
grabbed
my
loaded
flare
gun
and
carefully
walked
sideways
a
few
steps
to
Charlie.

The
whole
event
lasted
fifteen

but
seemed
years
long.

I
lay
on
my
bed,
legs
leaning
against
the
wall,
desperately
wishing
my
mother
would
call.
But
I
remembered
the
last
time
I'd
seen
her,
right
before
the
train
for
Providence
pulled
out
of
the
station,
“You
know
how
expensive
it
is
to
call,”
she
said,
then
hugged
me
tight
and
said
good-
bye.
This
was
my
first
birthday
away
from
home.
I
missed
my
mom,
missed
my
sister,
and
most
certainly
missed
the
special
pound
cake
my
mother
always
made
for
my
birthday.
Since
getting
to
college
that
year,
I
would
watch
jealously
as
the
other
freshmen
received
care
packages
from
their
parents
on
their
birthdays--and
even
on
ordinary
days.
Big
boxes
containing
summer
slacks
and
blouses,
packages
of
M&M's
and
Snickers
,
things
they
needed
and
things
they
didn't.
Instead
of
feeling
thrilled
about
my
upcoming
eighteenth
birthday,
I
felt
empty.
I
wished
my
mom
would
send
me
something,
too,
but
I
knew
that
she
couldn’t
afford
presents
or
the
postage.
She
had
done
her
best
with
my
sister
and
me--raising
us
by
herself.
The
simple
truth
was
there
just
was
never
enough
money.
But
that
didn’t
stop
her
from
filling
us
with
dreams.
“You
can
be
anything
you
want
to
be,”
she
would
tell
us.
“Politicians,
dancers,
writers
--
you
just
have
to
work
for
it;
you
have
to
get
an
education.”
Thanks
to
my
mom's
sacrifices
and
big
dreams,
I’d
made
it
to
the
Ivy
League:
Brown
University
in
Providence,
Rhode
Island.
As
I
was
recalling
these
things,
my
roommate
joined
me
on
the
bed.
“Hey.
After
we
study,
let's
buy
ice
cream
and
cake.”
I
nodded,
closed
my
eyes,
and
imagined
the
cake
Mom
would
have
made.
Mmm.
I
could
see
the
golden
yellow
of
each
of
the
twelve
eggs,
and
I
could
almost
smell
the
vanilla(香草)
filling
the
house
while
the
cake
baked.

We
usually
get
up
in
the
morning,
take
a
quick
shower,
make
breakfast
and
go
to
study
or
work.
We
take
them
all
for
granted.
But
what
if
you
re
born
without
legs
and
without
arms?
Nick
Vujicic
was
born,
without
arms
and
legs,
in
1982
in
Melbourne,
Australia.
Nick
faced
all
kinds
of
problems
and
troubles
in
his
life.
The
first
sight
you
see
Nick,
you
may
feel
pity
and
sorrow
for
him.
You
may
feel
his
annoyance
and
upset
because
he
can
find
everyday
situations
difficult.
However,
Nick
doesn't
make
a
problem
of
it.
He
has
got
just
a
“little
drumstick
(鸡腿)”
for
foot
just
as
he
says
himself,
because
his
dog
sometimes
mistakes
it
for
a
chicken
claw.
Even
better,
he
has
made
it
into
a
gift,
and
he
addresses
the
world
how
to
live
and
deal
with
misfortunes,
and
make
it
a
profit.
Nick
is
a
very
remarkable
person
now.
He
is
from
Australia,but
meanwhile
he
is
not
often
there
any
more.
Nick
travels
around
the
world
for
his
organization
Life
Without
Limbs
and
he
is
a
speaker
in
great
demand
who
shares
his
mission
with
millions
of
people
worldwide.
He
shares
with
his
audience
the
importance
of
vision
and
dreaming
big.
He
says
that
attitude
is
the
most
powerful
tool
in
life
and
failure
is
just
a
learning
experience.
But
it
wasn't
always
that
way.
Life
was
not
easy
for
Nick
when
he
was
young.
Although
Nick
had
loving
parents,
he
would
find
school
life
very
hard
as
he
would
often
be
teased
by
the
other
children.
He
couldn't
manage
it
and
withdrew
into
himself
more
and
more.
At
the
age
of
l0,
he
decided
that
he
shouldn't
go
on
like
this
and
he
should
have
his
own
dream.
He
extremely
wanted
to
live
and
be
treated
like
a
normal
person,
but
he
felt
lost.

5.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
It
had
been
some
time
since
Jack
had
seen
the
old
man.
College,
carrier,
and
life
itself
got
in
the
way.
In
fact,
Jack
moved
clear
across
the
country
in
pursuit(追寻)of
the
dreams.
There,
in
the
rush
of
his
busy
life.
Jack
had
little
time
to
think
about
the
past
and
often
no
time
to
spend
with
his
wife
and
son.
He
was
working
on
his
future,
and
nothing
could
stop
him.
Over
the
phone,
his
mother
told
him,
“Mr.
Belser
died
last
night
The
funeral(葬礼)is
Wednesday.”
Memories
flashed
through
his
mind
like
an
old
newsreel(新闻短片)as
he
sat
quietly
remembering
his
childhood
days.
“Jack,
did
you
hear
me?”
“Oh,
sorry,
Mom.
Yes,
I
heard
you.
It’s
been
so
long
since
I
thought
of
him.
I’m
sorry,
but
I
honestly
thought
he
died
years
ago,”
Jack
said.
“Well,
he
didn’t
forget
you.
Every
time
I
saw
him
he’d
ask
how
you
were
doing.
He’d
reminisce(回忆)about
the
many
days
you
spent
over
‘his
side
of
the
fence’
as
he
put
it,”
Mom
told
him.
“I
loved
that
old
house
he
lived
in,”
Jack
said.
“You
know,
Jack,
after
your
father
died,
Mr.
Belser
stepped
in
to
make
sure
you
had
a
man’s
influence
in
your
life,"
she
said.
“He’s
the
one
who
taught
me
carpentry.
I
wouldn’t
be
in
this
business
if
it
weren’t
for
him.
He
spent
a
lot
of
time
teaching
me
things
that
he
thought
were
important
Mom,
I’ll
be
there
for
the
funeral.”
Jack
said.
Busy
as
he
was,
he
kept
his
word.
Jack
caught
the
next
flight
to
his
hometown.
Mr.
Belser’s
funeral
was
small
and
uneventful.
He
had
no
children
of
his
own,
and
most
of
his
relatives
had
passed
away.
The
night
before
he
had
to
return
home.
Jack
and
his
Mom
stopped
by
to
see
the
old
house
next
door
one
more
time,
which
was
exactly
as
he
remembered.
Every
step
held
memories.
Every
picture,
every
piece
of
furniture...
Jack
stopped
suddenly.
“What’s
wrong,
Jack?”
his
Mom
asked.
“The
box
is
gone,”
he
said.
“What
box?”
Mom
asked.
“There
was
a
small
gold
box
that
he
kept
locked
on
top
of
his
desk.
I
must
have
asked
him
a
thousand
times
what
was
inside.
All
he’d
ever
tell
me
was
‘the
thing
I
value
most’,”
Jack
said.
It
was
gone.
Everything
about
the
house
was
exactly
how
Jack
remembered
it,
except
for
the
box.
He
figured
someone
from
the
Belser
family
had
taken
it.
“Now
I’ll
never
know
what
was
so
valuable
to
him,”
Jack
said
sadly.

On
a
cold
windy
day,
a
poor
boy
tried
to
pay
his
way
through
school
by
selling
goods
door
to
door.
Wandering
on
the
street,
he
was
not
a
successful
seller.
What’s
worse,
he
found
that
he
only
had
one
dime(一角硬币)
left.
His
empty
stomach
reminded
him
constantly
that
for
days
he
hadn’t
eaten
anything.
He
had
no
choice
but
to
beg
for
a
meal
at
the
next
house.
Hesitantly
he
knocked
at
door,
thinking
about
what
to
say
when
it
opened.
However,
he
lost
his
nerve
when
a
lovely
young
woman
opened
the
door.
“What
can
I
do
for
you?”
asked
the
young
woman.
The
boy
paused
for
a
while
“Would
you
please
give
me
some
…
a
drink
of
water?”
the
boy
dare
not
to
look
directly
into
her
eyes.
She
looked
at
the
bony
boy
and
thought
he
might
need
something
to
give
him
energy
so
she
brought
him
a
glass
of
milk.
His
head
rising
and
small
hands
taking
the
cup,
he
drank
it
up
slowly,
and
then
asked,
“How
much
do
I
owe
you?”“You
don’t
owe
me
anything,”
she
replied
with
a
warm
smile
on
her
face.
“My
mother
has
taught
me
never
to
accept
pay
for
a
kindness.”
Deeply
moved,
he
said
sincerely,
“Then
I
shall
thank
you
from
the
bottom
of
my
heart.”As
Howard
Kelly
left
that
house,
he
not
only
felt
stronger
physically,
but
it
also
increased
his
faith
in
God
and
the
whole
human
race.
As
a
matter
of
fact,
he
was
about
to
give
up
and
quit
before
that
point.
Years
later
the
young
woman
became
critically
ill.
However,
the
local
doctors
were
unable
to
give
the
effective
medical
treatment.
Finally
they
sent
her
to
a
hospital
in
the
big
city,
where
specialists
can
be
called
in
to
cure
her
rare
disease.
Among
those
famous
specialists,
Dr.
Howard
Kelly
was
called
in
for
the
consultation.
When
he
heard
the
name
of
the
town
she
came
from,
a
strange
light
filled
his
eyes.
Immediately,
he
rose
and
went
down
through
the
hospital
hall
into
her
room.

the
morning
sunlight
and
the
surf
was
cool
on
their
feet
as
Krin
and
Paula
leisurely
walked
along
the
water
edge.
The
brother
and
sister
began
to
make
some
sandcastles.
Not
far
away,
mother
sat
under
a
big
umbrella,
reading
a
book
with
a
bottle
of
lemonade
in
her
hand.
Father
was
busy
exchanging
a
few
words
of
greetings
with
the
strangers
he
met
on
the
beach.
Suddenly,
Krin
spotted
some
pieces
of
seashells
lying
scattered
on
the
picturesque
beach
and
small
holes
stretching
along
it
where
the
crabs
had
hidden.
He
immediately
invited
Paula
to
collect
shells
and
search
the
holes
together
with
him.
They
were
having
a
ball
exploring
what
appeared
to
be
a
never-ending
beach.
After
a
while,
they
stopped
and
looked
back.
Their
parents
and
the
umbrellas,
beach
chairs,
and
crowds
were
a
long
way
off.
But
just
ahead,
hidden
amongst
sea
grape
trees
stood
a
run-down
house
that
seemed
to
be
out
of
repair
for
years.
It
appeared
to
be
unoccupied.
Curious,
they
went
to
investigate.
The
front
steps
to
the
doorway
of
the
house
creaked
(嘎吱作响)
as
they
carefully
climbed
up
them,
so
did
the
porch
when
they
stepped
onto
it.
The
dusty
windows
and
porch
railing
(门廊
栏杆)
were
badly
weathered
and
broken.
The
front
door
was
half
open
so
they
squeezed
through
and
cautiously
entered.
The
place
was
in
a
total
mess,
covered
with
dust,
sand,
dead
leaves,
and
overturned
furniture.
They’d
taken
but
a
few
steps
when
the
door
unexpectedly
slammed
shut
behind
them.
Scared,
Krin
and
Paula
were
frozen
to
the
spot.
But
before
they
could
even
utter
something
like
“Oh-oh,”
the
windows
abruptly
closed,
too.
And
if
this
wasn’t
scary
enough,
the
stairs
to
the
second
floor
creaked
loudly.
When
a
light
in
the
back
bedroom
flickered
(摇曳),
that
was
absolutely
the
final
straw.

Late
Night
at
the
Zoo
A
zoo
keeper
had
been
working
at
a
zoo
for
15
years
and
never
experienced
any
problems.
He
always
worked
the
evening
shifts
because
he
was
trusted
to
properly
lock
up
the
zoo.
On
a
warm
summer
night
in
late
June,
the
zoo
keeper
turned
off
the
lights
and
wished
all
of
his
animals
a
good
night.
He
left
the
zoo
and
walked
to
his
car
in
the
parking
lot.
As
he
reached
in
his
back
pocket
he
realized
that
his
keys
had
gone
missing.
He
rapidly
turned
around
and
realized
he
had
left
them
inside
the
zoo.
He
quickly
walked
back
towards
the
Zoo's
entrance
hoping
he
would
see
them
along
the
way.
When
he
arrived
at
the
door,
to
his
surprise,
the
door
was
unlocked.
In
fear
of
setting
off
the
alarm
that
he
had
just
set,
he
did
not
turn
on
the
lights.
The
zoo
keeper
turned
on
the
flashlight
on
his
phone
and
began
to
make
his
way
to
the
office.
He
looked
around
at
all
the
animals
in
their
cages
and
thought
to
himself
how
different
the
zoo
becomes
at
night.
When
he
walked
by
the
lion's
cages,
he
could
see
the
young
cubs
playing
together.
He
liked
the
zoo
better
at
this
hour
because
night
was
when
the
animals
come
to
life.
At
last,
he
made
it
back
to
the
office.
Unfortunately
this
time,
he
was
not
so
lucky.
The
office
door
was
locked
and
he
knew
that
if
he
were
to
break
the
window,
he
would
set
off
the
alarm.
Knowing
there
was
no
way
inside,
the
zoo
keeper
began
to
weigh
his
options.
He
knew
he
could
not
get
into
his
home
without
his
keys,
so
he
decided
it
would
be
best
to
spend
the
night
inside
the
zoo.
The
zoo
keeper
walked
towards
the
bird
cages
because
he
knew
he
could
sleep
comfortably
on
the
benches
near
the
stage.
A
few
hours
later,
the
zoo
keeper
heard
a
door
slam
that
woke
him
up.
“Quiet!”
a
voice
whispered.
“What?
There's
no
one
here”
another
voice
said,
“The
old
man
left
hours
ago.”
“Alright,
let's
just
grab
the
animals
and
get
out
of
here.”
The
zoo
keeper
didn't
know
what
to
do.
“What
if
they
were
armed?”
the
zoo
keeper
thought
to
himself.
He
listened
closely
and
realized
there
was
a
group
of
burglars
in
the
zoo.

Asad
was
a
13-year-old
boy
who
was
very
honest
and
hardworking.
Recently,
he
had
entered
a
new
school
so
he
had
no
friends
yet.
On
Monday
morning,
he
was
nearly
late
for
school.
The
night
before,
his
family
attended
his
cousin’s
wedding
and
reached
home
late,
which
was
why
he
couldn’t
get
up
on
time
as
usual.
At
school,
Asad
could
not
pay
attention
to
anything
and
wanted
the
bell
to
ring
so
that
he
could
buy
something
to
eat.
After
a
few
hours,
when
the
bell
rang,
Asad
quickly
opened
his
schoolbag
to
find
his
money,
but
just
then
he
remembered
that
he
had
left
for
school
in
a
hurry
in
the
morning
and
forgotten
to
take
money.
He
looked
under
his
books,
hoping
to
find
some
money
but
there
was
nothing.
Not
knowing
what
to
do,
he
walked
out
of
the
classroom
and
sat
on
a
bench
in
front
of
the
canteen.
He
saw
a
few
of
his
classmates
there,
among
them
was
Fahad.
He
was
one
of
the
richest
kids
in
his
class
but
he
was
a
very
arrogant
boy
who
thought
everyone
else
was
a
loser.
But
as
Asad
was
new,
he
didn’t
know
much
about
Fahad.
When
he
went
towards
Fahad
and
asked
if
he
could
borrow
some
money
for
his
lunch,
Fahad
laughed
a
lot
and
said,
“I
knew
you
were
a
loser,
maybe
a
beggar?”
Fahad
laughed
out
so
loud
that
other
kids
also
heard
and
made
fun
of
the
situation.
He
didn’t
answer
Fahad,
and
slowly
walked
back
towards
an
empty
bench.
When
he
reached
the
bench,
he
noticed
something
lying
near
it.
It
was
a
wallet.
He
picked
it
up
and
recognized
it
as
Fahad’s,
as
he
remembered
Fahad
showing
it
to
his
friends
and
telling
that
his
uncle
bought
it
for
him
from
the
UK.
There
was
quite
a
lot
of
money
inside
for
a
kid.

On
a
weekend,
a
woman
won
a
big
bag
of
coins
at
a
game
machine.
She
took
a
break
for
dinner
with
her
husband
in
the
hotel
dining
room.
But
first
she
wanted
to
put
the
coins
in
her
room.
“I'll
be
right
back
and
we'll
go
to
eat,"
she
told
her
husband.
Then
she
carried
the
bag
to
the
lift.
As
she
was
about
to
walk
into
the
lift
she
noticed
two
men
already
aboard.
Both
were
huge,
very
huge
figures.
The
woman
was
scared.
Her
first
thought
was:
"These
two
are
going
to
rob
me.”
Her
next
thought
was:
“Don't
be
afraid.
They
look
like
nice
gentlemen.”
But
fear
seized
her.
She
stood
and
stared
at
the
two
men.
She
felt
anxious
and
ashamed.
She
hoped
they
didn't
read
her
mind.
Surely
they
knew
her
hesitation
about
joining
them
in
the
lift.
It
was
all
too
obvious.
Her
face
was
red.
She
couldn't
just
stand
there,
so
with
an
effort
of
will
she
picked
up
one
foot
and
stepped
forward
and
followed
with
the
other
foot
and
was
on
the
lift.
Avoiding
eye
contact,
she
turned
around
and
faced
the
lift
doors
as
they
closed.
A
second
passed,
and
then
another
second,
and
then
another.
Her
fear
increased!
The
lift
didn't
move.
Panic
consumed
her.
“Oh
dear,"
she
thought,
“I'm
about
to
be
robbed!”
Her
heart
sank
and
sweat
poured.
Then
one
of
the
men
said,
“Hit
the
floor.”
Instinct
(本能)
told
her:
Do
what
they
tell
you.
The
bag
of
coins
flew
upwards
as
she
threw
out
her
arms
and
collapsed
on
the
lift
carpet.
A
shower
of
coins
rained
down
on
her.
“Take
my
money
and
spare
me,"
she
prayed.
More
seconds
passed.
She
heard
one
of
the
men
say
politely,
"Madam,
if
you'll
just
tell
us
what
floor
you're
going
to,
we'll
push
the
button.
"The
one
who
said
it
had
a
little
trouble
getting
the
words
out
.He
couldn't
help
laughing.

My
senior
year
of
high
school
was
an
extremely
busy
one,
to
say
the
least.
If
I
wasn't
studying
and
worrying
about
my
grades,
I
was
taking
part
in
multiple
extracurricular
activities
or
attempting
to
make
preparations
for
college.
Finally,
as
my
senior
year
began
to
wind
down,
I
got
a
part-time
job
at
the
local
cafe.
I
had
figured
that
the
job
would
be
easy
and,
for
the
most
part,
stress-free.
I
pictured
myself
pouring
excellent
coffee,
making
delicious
cakes
and
becoming
close
friends
with
the
regular
customers.
What
I
hadn't
counted
on
were
the
people
with
great
orders
who
chose
to
use
the
drive-through
window,
or
the
women
who
felt
that
the
coffee
was
much
too
creamy,
or
the
men
who
wanted
their
iced
coffee
remade
again
and
again
until
it
reached
a
certain
level
of
perfection.
There
were
moments
when
I
was
annoyed
with
the
human
race
as
a
whole,
simply
because
I
couldn't
seem
to
please
anyone.
Nevertheless,
I
kept
at
it.
One
miserable
rainy
day,
I
spent
my
afternoon
handing
people
their
orders
and
waiting
as
they
slowly
counted
their
pennies.
I
tried
to
smile
as
the
customers
complained
about
the
rain,
but
it
was
difficult
to
smile
as
they
sat
in
their
temperature-controlled
cars
with
the
windows
rolled
up.
While
I
dealt
with
huge
droplets
of
water
hanging
from
my
visor(帽舌).
On
top
of
that,
no
one
was
tipping.
Every
time
I
looked
into
my
nearly
empty
tip
jar,
grew
more
depressed.
Around
four
o'clock,
one
of
my
regular
customers
named
Hank
came
in
looking
depressed
and
defeated.
My
coworker
and
I
asked
what
the
problem
was
and
if
we
could
help,
but
he
wouldn't
reveal
any
details.
He
just
said
he
felt
like
crawling
into

pulling
the

up
over
his

and
staying
there
for
a

years.
I

exactly
how
he
felt.

food
into
his
bowl.
Stepping
out
of
the
tent,
I
looked
around
for
bears
or
tracks
and
saw
none.
It
would
never
be
a
good
thing
to
meet
a
polar
bear.
An
Inuit
(因纽特人)
once
told
me
that
I
should
watch
out
for
polar
bears.
He
said
that
if
I
met
a
polar
bear,
I
should
keep
the
following
rules
in
mind.
First,
keep
eye
contact,
move
sideways
or
slightly
forward,
never
backward,
stay
calm.
Do
not
show
fear
and
stand
beside
a
large
object
to
make
myself
appear
as
large
as
possible.
Weapons
like
flare
gun(信号枪)
are
necessary,
but
do
not
shoot
unless
forced
to.
Don’t
wound
a
bear,
or
you'll
make
it
even
more
dangerous,
and
never
run.
It
was
only
six
o’clock,
so
I
decided
to
have
a
leisurely
breakfast
of
a
bowl
of
milk
powder,
coconut
flakes,
and
butter
mixed
with
warm
water.
I
sat
on
my
sled(雪橇)
to
enjoy
my
first
breakfast
of
the
expedition
only
to
find
that
after
the
third
spoonful
it
was
frozen.
So
much
for
leisurely
breakfasts!
I
added
more
warm
water
and
ate
the
rest
as
fast
as
possible.
Suddenly
I
heard
a
deep,
long
growl
coming
from
Charlie’s
throat.
In
a
flash
I
looked
at
him
and
then
in
the
direction
in
which
he
was
staring.
It
was
a
female
polar
bear
followed
by
two
cubs(幼崽)
slowly,
purposefully,
toward
me.
They
were
two
hundred
yards
away.
Paragraph
1:
With
my

my

and
carefully
walked
sideways
a

steps
to
Charlie.

【答案】With
my
heart
quickening,
I
grabbed
my
loaded
flare
gun
and
carefully
walked
sideways
a
few
steps
to
Charlie.
Without
taking
my
eyes
off
the
bear,
I
led
him
to
the
sled
and
fastened
his
chain
to
a
rope.
The
bear
was
getting
closer.
Remembering
all
the
Inuit
had
told
me,
I
fired
a
warning
shot
to
the
bear’s
left.
But
on
she
came.
Then,
I
fired
a
flare
right
in
front
of
her.
She
stopped
and
looked
at
me.
Then
she
fixed
her
eyes
on
Charlie,
who
was
barking
wildly.
She
looked
back
at
her
cubs
and
waited
for
them
to
catch
up,
then
finally
moved
away
toward
my
right.
The
whole
event
lasted
fifteen
minutes
but
seemed
years
long.
My
hands
were
shaking
as
I
stood
still,
watching
the
three
slowly
move
north.
But
despite
the
fear,
I
could
feel
deep
down
inside
a
real
satisfaction.
I
now
knew
that
I
could
stand
up
to
a
bear
in
the
wild
and
stay
calm
enough
to
function
and
still
remember
the
words
from
the
Inuit.
With
Charlie’s
help
I
had
passed
my
first
test.
【分析】
本篇书面表达是读后续写。通过阅读所给文章可知,作者早上从北极的帐篷中醒来,给他的狗Charlie喂了食,走出帐篷没看到任何熊的踪迹,想起因纽特人说的遇到熊的做法,因为时间还早所以决定悠闲地吃一顿早饭,突然看到一只母熊带着两只幼崽向自己走来。
【详解】
续写部分分为两段,第一段开头是:心跳加快,我抓住信号枪,小心地向一边的Charlie走了几步……所以应该写作者看到熊后的反应,即走向Charlie把它拴在绳子上,抓住信号枪向熊开枪警告,熊听到枪声后的反应及Charlie看大熊后的反应内容等。第二段开头是:整个事件持续了十五分钟,但似乎是持续了几年……本段应该熊离开后作者的反应,比如是否会感到害怕,以及从这次与熊的相遇中的收获等内容。
续写时要求使用5个以上短文中标有下划线的关键词语增加了写作难度,我们要熟悉所给划线词语,恰当的时候加以运用。最后还要注意所续写短文的词数应为150左右;续写完成后,请用下划线标出你所使用的关键词语。按要求完成写作任务。
【点睛】
本文描写详略得当,使用了高级词汇和高级句子。如:take
off,in
front
of,move
away等高级词汇;that
I

引导的宾语从句,as
I

quickening...with复合结构等高级句式。
3.阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。续写的词数应为150左右。
I
lay
on
my
bed,
legs
leaning
against
the
wall,
desperately
wishing
my
mother
would
call.
But
I
remembered
the
last
time
I'd
seen
her,
right
before
the
train
for
Providence
pulled
out
of
the
station,
“You
know
how
expensive
it
is
to
call,”
she
said,
then
hugged
me
tight
and
said
good-
bye.
This
was
my
first
birthday
away
from
home.
I
missed
my
mom,
missed
my
sister,
and
most
certainly
missed
the
special
pound
cake
my
mother
always
made
for
my
birthday.
Since
getting
to
college
that
year,
I
would
watch
jealously
as
the
other
freshmen
received
care
packages
from
their
parents
on
their
birthdays--and
even
on
ordinary
days.
Big
boxes
containing
summer
slacks
and
blouses,
packages
of
M&M's
and
Snickers
,
things
they
needed
and
things
they
didn't.
Instead
of
feeling
thrilled
about
my
upcoming
eighteenth
birthday,
I
felt
empty.
I
wished
my
mom
would
send
me
something,
too,
but
I
knew
that
she
couldn’t
afford
presents
or
the
postage.
She
had
done
her
best
with
my
sister
and
me--raising
us
by
herself.
The
simple
truth
was
there
just
was
never
enough
money.
But
that
didn’t
stop
her
from
filling
us
with
dreams.
“You
can
be
anything
you
want
to
be,”
she
would
tell
us.
“Politicians,
dancers,
writers
--
you
just
have
to
work
for
it;
you
have
to
get
an
education.”
Thanks
to
my
mom's
sacrifices
and
big
dreams,
I’d
made
it
to
the
Ivy
League:
Brown
University
in
Providence,
Rhode
Island.
As
I
was
recalling
these
things,
my
roommate
joined
me
on
the
bed.
“Hey.
After
we
study,
let's
buy
ice
cream
and
cake.”
I
nodded,
closed
my
eyes,
and
imagined
the
cake
Mom
would
have
made.
Mmm.
I
could
see
the
golden
yellow
of
each
of
the
twelve
eggs,
and
I
could
almost
smell
the
vanilla(香草)
filling
the
house
while
the
cake
baked.

4.阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
We
usually
get
up
in
the
morning,
take
a
quick
shower,
make
breakfast
and
go
to
study
or
work.
We
take
them
all
for
granted.
But
what
if
you
re
born
without
legs
and
without
arms?
Nick
Vujicic
was
born,
without
arms
and
legs,
in
1982
in
Melbourne,
Australia.
Nick
faced
all
kinds
of
problems
and
troubles
in
his
life.
The
first
sight
you
see
Nick,
you
may
feel
pity
and
sorrow
for
him.
You
may
feel
his
annoyance
and
upset
because
he
can
find
everyday
situations
difficult.
However,
Nick
doesn't
make
a
problem
of
it.
He
has
got
just
a
“little
drumstick
(鸡腿)”
for
foot
just
as
he
says
himself,
because
his
dog
sometimes
mistakes
it
for
a
chicken
claw.
Even
better,
he
has
made
it
into
a
gift,
and
he
addresses
the
world
how
to
live
and
deal
with
misfortunes,
and
make
it
a
profit.
Nick
is
a
very
remarkable
person
now.
He
is
from
Australia,but
meanwhile
he
is
not
often
there
any
more.
Nick
travels
around
the
world
for
his
organization
Life
Without
Limbs
and
he
is
a
speaker
in
great
demand
who
shares
his
mission
with
millions
of
people
worldwide.
He
shares
with
his
audience
the
importance
of
vision
and
dreaming
big.
He
says
that
attitude
is
the
most
powerful
tool
in
life
and
failure
is
just
a
learning
experience.
But
it
wasn't
always
that
way.
Life
was
not
easy
for
Nick
when
he
was
young.
Although
Nick
had
loving
parents,
he
would
find
school
life
very
hard
as
he
would
often
be
teased
by
the
other
children.
He
couldn't
manage
it
and
withdrew
into
himself
more
and
more.
At
the
age
of
l0,
he
decided
that
he
shouldn't
go
on
like
this
and
he
should
have
his
own
dream.
He
extremely
wanted
to
live
and
be
treated
like
a
normal
person,
but
he
felt
lost.

【答案】Seeing
his
determined
but
confused
expression,
Nick
's
mother
asked
him
what
was
wrong.
He
told
his
mother
the
truth,
tears
filling
his
eyes.”I
know
you
are
meeting
with
difficulty.
Is
it
high
time
you
should
change
the
circumstances?”
she
asked
gently.
Mother
s
words
touched
him
deeply.
He
turned
to
her
and
said,
“I
thought
I
had
to
change
myself.
Only
in
that
way
could
I
be
happy.
I
would
not
let
the
circumstances
lead
me.”
Hearing
these,
she
smiled,
“You
should
not
look
at
your
limitations,
but
at
your
strengths.”
Then
Nick
sat
down
in
front
of
the
mirror
and
looked
at
himself.
He
thought
that
he
had
beautiful
eyes.
He
said
to
himself,
“Those
eyes
are
mine,
and
no
one
can
take
them
from
me.”In
that
way
bit
by
bit
Nick
learned
to
see
the
positive
side
of
things.
As
a
result,
he
got
peace
in
his
heart
and
learned,
by
trial
and
error,
to
deal
with
the
circumstances.
Now
Nick
is
a
satisfied
and
happy
person.

5.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
It
had
been
some
time
since
Jack
had
seen
the
old
man.
College,
carrier,
and
life
itself
got
in
the
way.
In
fact,
Jack
moved
clear
across
the
country
in
pursuit(追寻)of
the
dreams.
There,
in
the
rush
of
his
busy
life.
Jack
had
little
time
to
think
about
the
past
and
often
no
time
to
spend
with
his
wife
and
son.
He
was
working
on
his
future,
and
nothing
could
stop
him.
Over
the
phone,
his
mother
told
him,
“Mr.
Belser
died
last
night
The
funeral(葬礼)is
Wednesday.”
Memories
flashed
through
his
mind
like
an
old
newsreel(新闻短片)as
he
sat
quietly
remembering
his
childhood
days.
“Jack,
did
you
hear
me?”
“Oh,
sorry,
Mom.
Yes,
I
heard
you.
It’s
been
so
long
since
I
thought
of
him.
I’m
sorry,
but
I
honestly
thought
he
died
years
ago,”
Jack
said.
“Well,
he
didn’t
forget
you.
Every
time
I
saw
him
he’d
ask
how
you
were
doing.
He’d
reminisce(回忆)about
the
many
days
you
spent
over
‘his
side
of
the
fence’
as
he
put
it,”
Mom
told
him.
“I
loved
that
old
house
he
lived
in,”
Jack
said.
“You
know,
Jack,
after
your
father
died,
Mr.
Belser
stepped
in
to
make
sure
you
had
a
man’s
influence
in
your
life,"
she
said.
“He’s
the
one
who
taught
me
carpentry.
I
wouldn’t
be
in
this
business
if
it
weren’t
for
him.
He
spent
a
lot
of
time
teaching
me
things
that
he
thought
were
important
Mom,
I’ll
be
there
for
the
funeral.”
Jack
said.
Busy
as
he
was,
he
kept
his
word.
Jack
caught
the
next
flight
to
his
hometown.
Mr.
Belser’s
funeral
was
small
and
uneventful.
He
had
no
children
of
his
own,
and
most
of
his
relatives
had
passed
away.
The
night
before
he
had
to
return
home.
Jack
and
his
Mom
stopped
by
to
see
the
old
house
next
door
one
more
time,
which
was
exactly
as
he
remembered.
Every
step
held
memories.
Every
picture,
every
piece
of
furniture...
Jack
stopped
suddenly.
“What’s
wrong,
Jack?”
his
Mom
asked.
“The
box
is
gone,”
he
said.
“What
box?”
Mom
asked.
“There
was
a
small
gold
box
that
he
kept
locked
on
top
of
his
desk.
I
must
have
asked
him
a
thousand
times
what
was
inside.
All
he’d
ever
tell
me
was
‘the
thing
I
value
most’,”
Jack
said.
It
was
gone.
Everything
about
the
house
was
exactly
how
Jack
remembered
it,
except
for
the
box.
He
figured
someone
from
the
Belser
family
had
taken
it.
“Now
I’ll
never
know
what
was
so
valuable
to
him,”
Jack
said
sadly.

he
said.
【分析】
本文是给一篇文章续写内容。读后续写既考查学生对所学语言知识的运用能力,又考查学生的发散思维能力和创造力。该题型要求考生首先要读懂已有信息,不仅能读懂字面含义,还要理清文章的脉络和关系。
【详解】
文章背景信息是主人公Jack整天为生计,为事业忙忙碌碌。突然有一天得知在童年时期对自己有巨大影响的Mr.
Harold
Belser去世了。Jack回到家乡,和母亲看了看隔壁的老房子,想起Mr.

然后要注意题干要求:1.所续写短文的词数应为150左右;2.应使用5个以上短文中标有下划线的关键词语;3.续写部分分为两段;4.续写完成后,请用下划线标出所使用的关键词语(dreams;busy
life;spend;wife
and
son;Mr.
Belser;
Memories
;inside)。
6.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
On
a
cold
windy
day,
a
poor
boy
tried
to
pay
his
way
through
school
by
selling
goods
door
to
door.
Wandering
on
the
street,
he
was
not
a
successful
seller.
What’s
worse,
he
found
that
he
only
had
one
dime(一角硬币)
left.
His
empty
stomach
reminded
him
constantly
that
for
days
he
hadn’t
eaten
anything.
He
had
no
choice
but
to
beg
for
a
meal
at
the
next
house.
Hesitantly
he
knocked
at
door,
thinking
about
what
to
say
when
it
opened.
However,
he
lost
his
nerve
when
a
lovely
young
woman
opened
the
door.
“What
can
I
do
for
you?”
asked
the
young
woman.
The
boy
paused
for
a
while
“Would
you
please
give
me
some
…
a
drink
of
water?”
the
boy
dare
not
to
look
directly
into
her
eyes.
She
looked
at
the
bony
boy
and
thought
he
might
need
something
to
give
him
energy
so
she
brought
him
a
glass
of
milk.
His
head
rising
and
small
hands
taking
the
cup,
he
drank
it
up
slowly,
and
then
asked,
“How
much
do
I
owe
you?”“You
don’t
owe
me
anything,”
she
replied
with
a
warm
smile
on
her
face.
“My
mother
has
taught
me
never
to
accept
pay
for
a
kindness.”
Deeply
moved,
he
said
sincerely,
“Then
I
shall
thank
you
from
the
bottom
of
my
heart.”As
Howard
Kelly
left
that
house,
he
not
only
felt
stronger
physically,
but
it
also
increased
his
faith
in
God
and
the
whole
human
race.
As
a
matter
of
fact,
he
was
about
to
give
up
and
quit
before
that
point.
Years
later
the
young
woman
became
critically
ill.
However,
the
local
doctors
were
unable
to
give
the
effective
medical
treatment.
Finally
they
sent
her
to
a
hospital
in
the
big
city,
where
specialists
can
be
called
in
to
cure
her
rare
disease.
Among
those
famous
specialists,
Dr.
Howard
Kelly
was
called
in
for
the
consultation.
When
he
heard
the
name
of
the
town
she
came
from,
a
strange
light
filled
his
eyes.
Immediately,
he
rose
and
went
down
through
the
hospital
hall
into
her
room.

本篇书面表达是读后续写。
【详解】
通过阅读所给文章可知,文章讲述了一个小男孩在饥寒交迫的时候有一个女士给了他一杯牛奶,若干年后这个小男孩成为了一名医生,去救治那个送给他牛奶的女士。续写部分分为两段,第一段开头是:他穿着白大褂进入病房去见她…..,所以应该写他见到她躺在床上后的的反应即见到此景他会为她做什么。要详细叙述一下他为治疗她的病所做出的的努力;第二段开头是:账单送到了她的房间…..,首先写她见到账单后的心理,然后详述一下打开账单后账单的内容,要把一杯牛奶和账单巧妙的联系起来。
续写时要求使用5个以上短文中标有下划线的关键词语增加了写作难度,我们要熟悉所给划线词语,恰当的时候加以运用。最后还要注意所续写短文的词数应为150左右;续写完成后,请用下划线标出你所使用的关键词语。按要求完成写作任务。

caught
her
attention
使用了which引导的定语从句。
3.Tears

7.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
It’s
a
perfect
family
summer
seaside
holiday.
Occasionally
some
white
clouds
floated
across
the
blue
sky.
The
sandy
beach
was
soft
and
comfortable.
The
water
was
glistering
in
the
morning
sunlight
and
the
surf
was
cool
on
their
feet
as
Krin
and
Paula
leisurely
walked
along
the
water
edge.
The
brother
and
sister
began
to
make
some
sandcastles.
Not
far
away,
mother
sat
under
a
big
umbrella,
reading
a
book
with
a
bottle
of
lemonade
in
her
hand.
Father
was
busy
exchanging
a
few
words
of
greetings
with
the
strangers
he
met
on
the
beach.
Suddenly,
Krin
spotted
some
pieces
of
seashells
lying
scattered
on
the
picturesque
beach
and
small
holes
stretching
along
it
where
the
crabs
had
hidden.
He
immediately
invited
Paula
to
collect
shells
and
search
the
holes
together
with
him.
They
were
having
a
ball
exploring
what
appeared
to
be
a
never-ending
beach.
After
a
while,
they
stopped
and
looked
back.
Their
parents
and
the
umbrellas,
beach
chairs,
and
crowds
were
a
long
way
off.
But
just
ahead,
hidden
amongst
sea
grape
trees
stood
a
run-down
house
that
seemed
to
be
out
of
repair
for
years.
It
appeared
to
be
unoccupied.
Curious,
they
went
to
investigate.
The
front
steps
to
the
doorway
of
the
house
creaked
(嘎吱作响)
as
they
carefully
climbed
up
them,
so
did
the
porch
when
they
stepped
onto
it.
The
dusty
windows
and
porch
railing
(门廊
栏杆)
were
badly
weathered
and
broken.
The
front
door
was
half
open
so
they
squeezed
through
and
cautiously
entered.
The
place
was
in
a
total
mess,
covered
with
dust,
sand,
dead
leaves,
and
overturned
furniture.
They’d
taken
but
a
few
steps
when
the
door
unexpectedly
slammed
shut
behind
them.
Scared,
Krin
and
Paula
were
frozen
to
the
spot.
But
before
they
could
even
utter
something
like
“Oh-oh,”
the
windows
abruptly
closed,
too.
And
if
this
wasn’t
scary
enough,
the
stairs
to
the
second
floor
creaked
loudly.
When
a
light
in
the
back
bedroom
flickered
(摇曳),
that
was
absolutely
the
final
straw.

【答案】Paragraph
1:
“Let’s
get
out
of
here,
Paula!”
screamed
Krin.
But
it
seemed
that
Paula
didn't
hear
anything,
and
much
to
his
horror,
Krin
spotted
his
sister
standing
there,
with
her
frightened
eyes
staring
at
the
swinging
light
and
the
creaking
stairs.
For
a
moment,
a
desperate
and
terrible
silence
spread
through
the
house.
Krin
almost
felt
his
blood
frozen
in
his
chest
as
he
saw
what
was
happening
around.
After
seemingly
a
long
time,
his
mind
began
to
race
again,
trying
to
think
how
they
could
break
down
the
closed
door
and
escape.
Immediately,
he
grabbed
hold
of
his
sister's
hand,
dashed
to
the
front
door,
and
in
the
meanwhile
let
out
a
cry,
"Come
on,
Paula...."
But
bad
luck
for
poor
Krin,
he
tripped
and
fell
before
they
got
out
of
the
haunted
house.
Paragraph

"Did

what
it
was?"
Paula
said
to
Krin.
“whatever
it
is,
I
don't

Krin
said.
Then
they
calmed
down
for
a
while,
went
back
to
their
parents,
and
told
them
about
their
experience.
But
the
parents
just
blamed
them
for
their
running
around
without
permission
and
didn't
believe
what
they
said.
But
in
any
case,
they
came
to
the
conclusion
that
children

【详解】
通过阅读所给文章可知,兄妹俩
Krin
and
Paula
与父母在海滩上愉快地度假,在海葡萄树丛中,兄妹俩发现一幢年久失修的房子。出于好奇心,他们决定进去一探究竟,他们进入了房子发现里面非常杂乱,到处是灰尘、枯叶和翻倒的家具,他们还没走几步,身后的房门就突然砰地一声关上,窗户也突然关上,兄妹俩吓得呆住了。而更令他们恐惧的是通往二楼的楼梯嘎吱声大作,并且从后面卧室里透出摇曳的光亮。
续写部分分为两段,第一段段首句:
Krin
尖叫道:“让我们跑出去!”原文已交代前门和窗户都案然关上了,而更令他们恐惧的是通往二楼的楼梯嘎吱声大作,从后面卧室里透出摇曳的光亮。所以第一段的情节最好由此展开,续写兄妹俩是如何在极度恐惧的心情下逃出房子的,尤其关注他们面对恐惧时的心理和动作描写。第二段段首句:
Krin
和
Paula
已经逃出了房子,通过段首句
“wonderful”
一词可知他们已安全回到了沙滩上父母的身边。那么,他们会交流些什么?父母有何回应?他们从这次经历中有何感悟?
续写时要求使用5个以上短文中标有下划线的关键词语增加了写作难度,我们要熟悉所给划线词语,恰当的时候加以运用。最后还要注意所续写短文的词数应为150左右;续写完成后,请用下划线标出你所使用的关键词语。按要求完成写作任务。

8.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
Late
Night
at
the
Zoo
A
zoo
keeper
had
been
working
at
a
zoo
for
15
years
and
never
experienced
any
problems.
He
always
worked
the
evening
shifts
because
he
was
trusted
to
properly
lock
up
the
zoo.
On
a
warm
summer
night
in
late
June,
the
zoo
keeper
turned
off
the
lights
and
wished
all
of
his
animals
a
good
night.
He
left
the
zoo
and
walked
to
his
car
in
the
parking
lot.
As
he
reached
in
his
back
pocket
he
realized
that
his
keys
had
gone
missing.
He
rapidly
turned
around
and
realized
he
had
left
them
inside
the
zoo.
He
quickly
walked
back
towards
the
Zoo's
entrance
hoping
he
would
see
them
along
the
way.
When
he
arrived
at
the
door,
to
his
surprise,
the
door
was
unlocked.
In
fear
of
setting
off
the
alarm
that
he
had
just
set,
he
did
not
turn
on
the
lights.
The
zoo
keeper
turned
on
the
flashlight
on
his
phone
and
began
to
make
his
way
to
the
office.
He
looked
around
at
all
the
animals
in
their
cages
and
thought
to
himself
how
different
the
zoo
becomes
at
night.
When
he
walked
by
the
lion's
cages,
he
could
see
the
young
cubs
playing
together.
He
liked
the
zoo
better
at
this
hour
because
night
was
when
the
animals
come
to
life.
At
last,
he
made
it
back
to
the
office.
Unfortunately
this
time,
he
was
not
so
lucky.
The
office
door
was
locked
and
he
knew
that
if
he
were
to
break
the
window,
he
would
set
off
the
alarm.
Knowing
there
was
no
way
inside,
the
zoo
keeper
began
to
weigh
his
options.
He
knew
he
could
not
get
into
his
home
without
his
keys,
so
he
decided
it
would
be
best
to
spend
the
night
inside
the
zoo.
The
zoo
keeper
walked
towards
the
bird
cages
because
he
knew
he
could
sleep
comfortably
on
the
benches
near
the
stage.
A
few
hours
later,
the
zoo
keeper
heard
a
door
slam
that
woke
him
up.
“Quiet!”
a
voice
whispered.
“What?
There's
no
one
here”
another
voice
said,
“The
old
man
left
hours
ago.”
“Alright,
let's
just
grab
the
animals
and
get
out
of
here.”
The
zoo
keeper
didn't
know
what
to
do.
“What
if
they
were
armed?”
the
zoo
keeper
thought
to
himself.
He
listened
closely
and
realized
there
was
a
group
of
burglars
in
the
zoo.

【答案】The
zoo
keeper
quietly
got
up
and
decided
to
investigate
what
was
going
on
in
the
zoo.
He
knew
he
had
to
be
careful
because
he
was
unsure
of
what
these
people
were
doing.
The
zoo
keeper
began
to
weigh
his
options,
he
could
set
off
the
alarm
but
that
would
alert
the
burglars,
or
he
could
confront
them
but
that
could
potentially
put
him
in
danger.
He
turned
the
corner
but
made
sure
not
to
be
seen
so
that
he
could
see
who
had
entered
the
zoo.
The
zoo
keeper
saw
two
people
in
front
of
a
bird
cage
trying
to
break
the
lock.
Both
of
the
burglars
looked
up
at
the
zoo
keeper
in
shock.
The
bird
tried
to
get
away
and
bit
one
of
the
burglars.
The
zoo
keeper
triggered
the
alarm
which
turned
on
all
of
the
lights
in
the
zoo.
The
zoo
keeper
recognized
the
burglars
to
be
two
of
the
new
interns.
When
the
police
arrived,
the
zoo
keeper
explained
what
had
happened
during
the
night.
The
burglar
who
had
been
bit
by
the
bird
was
badly
injured
and
required
medical
treatment
and
the
other
was
arrested
for
breaking
into

9.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
Asad
was
a
13-year-old
boy
who
was
very
honest
and
hardworking.
Recently,
he
had
entered
a
new
school
so
he
had
no
friends
yet.
On
Monday
morning,
he
was
nearly
late
for
school.
The
night
before,
his
family
attended
his
cousin’s
wedding
and
reached
home
late,
which
was
why
he
couldn’t
get
up
on
time
as
usual.
At
school,
Asad
could
not
pay
attention
to
anything
and
wanted
the
bell
to
ring
so
that
he
could
buy
something
to
eat.
After
a
few
hours,
when
the
bell
rang,
Asad
quickly
opened
his
schoolbag
to
find
his
money,
but
just
then
he
remembered
that
he
had
left
for
school
in
a
hurry
in
the
morning
and
forgotten
to
take
money.
He
looked
under
his
books,
hoping
to
find
some
money
but
there
was
nothing.
Not
knowing
what
to
do,
he
walked
out
of
the
classroom
and
sat
on
a
bench
in
front
of
the
canteen.
He
saw
a
few
of
his
classmates
there,
among
them
was
Fahad.
He
was
one
of
the
richest
kids
in
his
class
but
he
was
a
very
arrogant
boy
who
thought
everyone
else
was
a
loser.
But
as
Asad
was
new,
he
didn’t
know
much
about
Fahad.
When
he
went
towards
Fahad
and
asked
if
he
could
borrow
some
money
for
his
lunch,
Fahad
laughed
a
lot
and
said,
“I
knew
you
were
a
loser,
maybe
a
beggar?”
Fahad
laughed
out
so
loud
that
other
kids
also
heard
and
made
fun
of
the
situation.
He
didn’t
answer
Fahad,
and
slowly
walked
back
towards
an
empty
bench.
When
he
reached
the
bench,
he
noticed
something
lying
near
it.
It
was
a
wallet.
He
picked
it
up
and
recognized
it
as
Fahad’s,
as
he
remembered
Fahad
showing
it
to
his
friends
and
telling
that
his
uncle
bought
it
for
him
from
the
UK.
There
was
quite
a
lot
of
money
inside
for
a
kid.

【答案】At
first,
Asad
wanted
to
keep
it
a
secret.
But
he
felt
the
heat
in
his
body
rising,
and
his
cheeks
blushing.
Asad
suddenly
felt
a
bit
sorry
for
the
embarrassment
he
was
going
to
face.
Just
at
the
moment,
Fahad
gasped
and
cried
out
in
alarm,”
Oh
hell,
where
is
my
wallet?”
Some
gossip
began.
Overwhelmed
by
guilt,
Asad
quickly
picked
up
the
wallet
and
strode
to
Fahad,
“I
find
it
over
there,
and
I
think
it
is
yours.”
Then
Fahad
said,
“Why
are
you
giving
it
back?”
Asad,
“Because
it
belongs
to
you.
I
am
an
honest
boy.”
The
air
seemed
still
and
it
became
weird
that
no
one
uttered
a
single
word.
To
Asad’s
astonishment,
the
arrogant
boy,
Fahad,
reached
out
his
hand,
stammering,
“I
apologize
for
not
lending
you
money.
What
about
having
lunch
together?”
Before
Asad
could
say
anything,
Fahad
quickly
added,
“Of
course,
my
treat.”
It
was
in
that
way
that
they
became
good
friends.
Asad
truly
reckoned
the
value
of
sincerity
and
honesty
in
a
relationship.

10.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
On
a
weekend,
a
woman
won
a
big
bag
of
coins
at
a
game

She
took
a
break
for
dinner
with
her

But
first
she

the
coins
in

“I'll

we'll

she
told
her
husband.
Then
she
carried
the
bag
to
the
lift.
As
she
was
about
to
walk
into
the
lift
she
noticed
two
men
already
aboard.
Both
were
huge,
very
huge
figures.
The
woman
was
scared.
Her
first
thought
was:
"These
two
are
going
to
rob
me.”
Her
next
thought
was:
“Don't
be
afraid.
They
look
like
nice
gentlemen.”
But
fear
seized
her.
She
stood
and
stared
at
the
two
men.
She
felt
anxious
and
ashamed.
She
hoped
they
didn't

her
mind.
Surely
they
knew
her
hesitation
about
joining
them
in
the
lift.
It
was
all
too
obvious.
Her
face
was
red.
She
couldn't
just
stand
there,
so
with
an
effort
of
will
she
picked
up
one
foot
and
stepped
forward
and
followed
with
the
other
foot
and
was
on
the
lift.
Avoiding
eye

she
turned
around
and
faced
the
lift
doors
as
they
closed.
A
second
passed,
and
then
another
second,
and
then
another.
Her
fear
increased!
The
lift
didn't
move.
Panic
consumed
her.
“Oh
dear,"
she
thought,
“I'm
about
to
be
robbed!”
Her
heart
sank
and
sweat
poured.
Then
one
of
the
men
said,
“Hit
the
floor.”
Instinct
(本能)
told
her:
Do
what
they
tell
you.
The
bag
of
coins
flew
upwards
as
she
threw
out
her
arms
and
collapsed
on
the
lift
carpet.
A
shower
of
coins
rained
down
on
her.
“Take
my
money
and
spare
me,"
she
prayed.
More
seconds
passed.
She
heard
one
of
the
men
say
politely,
"Madam,
if
you'll
just
tell
us
what
floor
you're
going
to,
we'll
push
the
button.
"The

said
it
