教材分析本测教材——New Standard English (共三年级起始用) 第八册是供小学六年级下学期使用的。其中包括学生用书、课堂活动用书、教师用书、朗读录音带、领读录音带、多媒体教学课件、卡片和挂图、电视教学片、配套教辅等。一、学生用书(Student's Book)学生用书是整套教材的主体,按学期分册。 全册分十一个教学模块(module),和一个复习模块(review mmodule)。在教学模块和复习模块中,每个模块包括两个单元(unit), 第一单元是语言呈现(Language presentation)单元,第二单元是语言扩展(Language development )和语言练习(language practice)单元。在本册书中,我们要跟着大明去美国访问,了解一些关于美国的情况, 初步了解在美国生活的中国人的生活。。二、课堂活动用书(Activity book)课堂活动用书也是教材的主体,与学生用书配套使用,编有许多形式活泼,内容新颖、任务真实的活动练习项目,以巩固课堂教学效果。课堂活动用书中还有专门设计的运用活动项目(project),为学生创造综合性运用英语的语境。三、教学磁带、教学挂图、卡片、贴纸、电视教学片、多媒体教学课件及网络支持系统本套教材配有以上各种教学辅助材料,可供教学参考。教材要求一、要求学生们要学着完成课文以外的听力练习、根据图片独立写出万真的语句,阅读比较短小的语篇并能回答问题,要针对模块主体、仿照示例或根据图片进行一些简单的对话。二、本册教材不要求教师过多地讲解语法,只需要把这些内容呈现给学生,要求他们学会运用这些语句,对这些内容形成初步的概念即可,请老师们在教学过程中注意。

Ask them if they know how we use those words. you may have to explain that “ and ” is used to join ideas together .It can mean “ in addition to” . “but ” is used to show a contrast with what has been said or written before .The word “ or ” is used when introducing an alternative .Explain to the students that they don’t have to look for the correct ending as the endings are already in the correct order. Instead ,they have to choose the correct connective, or conjunction .Now have the students look cat the first incomplete sentence. Ask them if the words “ sunny ” and “ cold ” are talking about similar ideas ( no ). Ask if “ cold ” is an alternative to what has been written in the first part of the sentence ( no ).
