阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B.
C.
D四个选项中选出最佳选项。
Exercising
regularly
not
only
helps
you
keep
slim,
but
also
improves
your
overall
health
and
well-being.
Different
exercises
produce
different
results,
as
they
focus
on
alternate
parts
of
the
body.
There
are
four
broad
exercise
categories:
endurance,
strength,
flexibility,
and
balance.
Maty
people
often
only
focus
on
one
exercise
type,
but
including
all
four
in
your
workout
will
produce
better
results
and
reduce
your
risk
of
injury.
Endurance
Endurance
exercises
increase
your
breathing
and
heart
rate.
By
doing
endurance
exercises,
you
are
working
to
keep
your
heart,
lungs,;
and
blood-flow

to
build
up
your
muscles,
then
strength
exercises,

right
for
you,
Even
the
slightest
increase
in
strength

make
a
huge
difference
in
your
ability
to
carry
out
daily
tasks.
Developing
strong
muscles
also.
reduces
your

breathe
deeply.
and
blood
flow.

it
reduces
the
muscle
tension
caused
by
stress.
Balance
Balance
exercises
help
prevent
falls
and
are
especially
important
to
older
adults,
helping
them
stay
independent.
Most
good
balance
exercises
are
ones
that
keep
you
constantly
moving
with
your
feet
on
the
ground.
Heel-to-toe
walking
and
standing
on
one
foot
are
simple
ways
to
improve
balance.

Dear
Charlotte,
For
the
first
time
in
my
life,
I'm
making
a
really
good
income,
and
s0
is
my
husband.
could
be
saving
a
lor
more,
but
instead
we
spend
it
on
fun
vacations
and
nice
clothing.
I
went
from
a
ten-year
old
Japanese
car
to
a
Tesla,
cand
a
thrift-store
(二手店)
handbag
to
a
super-nice
one.
from
France.
Ifee1
like
I've
become
a
new
person
I
don't
recognize.
How
cam
I
go
back
to
being
someone
who's
fine
with
thrift-store
items,
instead
of
this
one
with
a
perfect
house
filled
with
nice
things
that
don
t
matter?
I
understand
why
you
miss
your
old
life.
It
feels
good
to
live
simply
and
to
work
toward
larger
financial
goals.
The
problem,
it
seems,
is
that
you
never
really
envisioned
(设想)
the
life
you'd
lead
once
you
actually
had
money
to
spare.
1
doubt
you
may
also
be
feeling
a
little
bit
lonely.
Studies
have
found
that
transitioning
to
a
higher
socioeconomic
class
can
be
isolating
(让人感到孤立的)
because
it
moves
people
away
from
familiar
social
circles
and
into
unfamiliar
ones.
It's
also
tough
to
talk
about
-
having
big
money
isn't
exactly
a
“problem",
nor
a
situation
that
most
people
can
relate
to.
.
I
suggest
an
exercise:
Write
down
everything
you
spend
your
money
on,
every
day,
for
a
couple
of
weeks.
Then
look
at
your
list
and
focus
on
the
things
that
felt
worthwhile
and
satisfying.
In
doing
this
exercise,
you'll
probably
find
that
spending
money
on
experiences,
especially
ones
that:
strengthen
your
relationships,
makes
you
happier
than
buying
items.
It
sounds
like
you
have
some
guilt.
That's
normal.
I
don't
mean
that
you
should
feel
bad
about
having
money.
Instead,
it's
good
to
be
aware
that
you've
been
lucky一plenty
of
people
never
get
to
see
the
fruits
of
their
work
in
the
same
way
that
you
have.
Amanda
Cayman,
a
financial
adviser,
recommends
gratitude
exercises.
"When
you
focus
more
on
what
you
have,
it.
helps
you
stay
focused
on
what's
important
to
you,
instead
of
what
you'
re
missing"
she
says.
While
your
new
life
may
seem
unrecognizable,
that
doesn't
mean
you've
lost
the
goal
and
drive
that
got
you
there
--
you
just
need
to
learn
to
redirect
them.

She
doesn't
know
how
to
save
money.

a
poor

makes
the
woman
lonely?

Most
people's
misunderstanding
of

26.
Why
does
Charlotte

to
her.

Jake
Calvert,
a
cattleman
from
Norman,
Oklahoma,
can
name
only
a
few
of
his
cows
without
ear
tags(耳标).
Otherwise,
it
would
be
a
little
tricky.
Without
brands
or
ear
tags,
it's
hard
to
tell
cows
apart.
A
team
of
researchers
are
making
facial
recognition
technology
for
cows,
which
might
develop
a
faster
way
of
tracing
(追踪)
in
the
event
of
a
disease
outbreak.
K.C.
Olson,
a
professor
at
Kansas
State
University,
worked
with
a
team
to
develop
artificial
intelligence
(AD)
for
an
app
called
Cattle
Tracs.
When
the
team
tested
the
AI
on
whether
it
had
seen
a
cow
before,
it
was
94%
accurate.
The
app,
which
is
still
under
development,
would
allow
cattlemen
to
take
a
cow's
picture
and
send
it,
along
with
location
and
date,
to
a
database.
Joe
Hoagland,
the
founder
of
Black
Hereford
Holdings
Inc.
the
company
developing
the
app,
says
it
could
help
track
down
an
animal
and
manage
it
to
bring
a
discase
under
control.
Rosslyn
Biggs,
a
beef
cattle
extension
specialist
at
Oklahoma
State
University,
says
there’s
a
fairly
large
part
of
the
beef
cattle
industry
that
isn't
required
to
have
official
identification
(身份证明).
She
says
this
would
make
tracing
and
controlling
a
potential
disease
outbreak
challenging
She
says
in
the
event
of
an
outbreak,
time
is
of
the
greatest
importance.
“We
need
to
be
able
to
limit
it,
because
undoubtedly,
we
will
have
significant
interruptions
in
our
supply
chain
here
in
the
United
States.
Our
export
markets
will
undoubtedly
cut
us
of,
depending
on
the
disease,"
Biggs
says.
Michael
Kelsey,
the
executive
vice
president
of
the
Oklahoma
Cattlemen's
Association,
says
he's
open
to
new
technologies
as
long
as
they're
not
too
cumbersome.
“The
key
is
how
easy
they
are
to
use
in
an
industry
so
that
we
can
keep
the
speed
of
commerce
flowing."
Kelsey
says.
Calvert
says
he
is
doubtful
about
using
facial
recognition
as
a
tracing
system.
But
he
says
other
cattlemen
may.
Jump
on
board
because
it's
cheaper
than

“Because
a
$9,
even
a
$20
a

subscription
(征订费)

is
going
to
be
far
cheaper

What
do
we
know
about
CattleTracs?
A.
It
has
come
into
practice.
B.
Its
main
function
is
to
take
photos,
C.
It
might
help
stop
the
spread
of
disease,
D.
Its
accuracy
needs
to
be
greatly
improved.
29.
What
makes
cattle
disease
control
tricky?
A.
The
ignorance
of
the
significance
of
time
B.
The
absence
of
identifying
cattle
officially
C.
The
misuse
of
standard
identification
numbers.
D.
The
imperfection
of
the
official
medical
system.
30.
What
might
the
underlined
word
“cumbersome"
in
paragraph
4
mean?
A.
Hard
to
apply.
B.
Easy
to
forget.
C.
Open
to
attack.
D.
Slow
to
change.
31.
What
is
Calvert's
opinion
on
cattle
Tracs?
A.
It
is
trustworthy
in
terms
of
tracing.
B.
It
will
win
support
from
the
authorities.
C.
It
has
a
cost
advantage
over
ear
tags.
D.
It
can
make
the
beef
industry
grow
quickly.

To
many
people,
honey
bees
symbolize
wealth,
sustainability
and
environmentalism.
But越a
honey
bee
researcher,
I
have
to
tell
you
that
only
the
first
item
on
that
list
is
defensible.
.
Although
they
are
important
for
agriculture,
honey
bees.
which
are
usually
imported
from
outside
the
local
area,
also
disturb
natural
ecosystems
by
competing
with
native
bees.
For
several
years
the
media
has
told
us
that
bee
populations
are
under
'threat.
In
response
to
this
media
campaign
to
“save
the
bees",
raising
honey
bees
has
become
a
popular
hobby.
But
as
a
species.
honey
bees
are
least
in
need
of
saving.
Much
media
attention
is
given
to
honey
bees
at
the
expense
of
native
bees.
and
this
has
led
many
citizens-
myself
once
included-
to
mistakenly
believe
they
are
doing
a
good
thing
for
the
environment
by
raising
honey
bees.
Unfortunately,
they
are
probably
doing
more
harm
than
good,
"Beekeeping
is
for
people;
it's
not
a
conservation
practice,"
says
Shelly
Smith,"
an
environmental
science
professor.
People
mistakenly
think
keeping
honey
bees
also
helps
the
native
bees,
which
are
at
risk
of
extinction.
That's
wrong.
Smith
and
her
research
team
recently
surveyed
one
thousand
local
people
in
Canada
and
found
that
they
had
a
surprisingly
poor
understanding
of
bee
types
and
their
roles.
in
promoting
flower
growth.
Most
people's
attention
is
on
saving
honey
bees
when,
from
a
conservationist's
point
of
view,
native
bees
are
the
ones
in
more
need
of
support.
“To
make
matters
worse,
beekeeping
companies
and
various
nom-science-based
projects
.
have
financially
benefited
from
the
decline
of
native
bee
populations,"
Smith
explains.
“These
companies
pretend
they
are
interested
in
saving
bees
but
their
actions
are
actually
damaging
the
native
bee
populations,"
The
introduction
of
honey
bees
increases
competition
with
native
bee
populations
for
food
putting
even
more
pressure
on
the
wild
species
that
are
already
in
decline.
Honey
bees
are
extremely
efficient
food
gatherers
and
take
over
almost
all
local
flower
resources,
thus
leading
to
damaging
competition-
that
is,
where
one
species
uses
up
a;
resource,
not
leaving
enough
to
go
around.
32.
Which
statement
does
the
writer
ague
for?
A.
Honey
bees
endanger
native
bees.
B:
Honey
bees
are
a
symbol
of
wealth.
C.
Honey
bees
are
important
for
agriculture.
D:
Honey
bees
can
defend
natural
ecosystems,
33.
What
can
be
inferred
from
paragraph
2?
A.
Beekeeping
is
a
still-popular
traditional
hobby,
B.
The
media
is
responsible
for
misleading
the
public.
C;
Citizens'
attempts
to
protect
the
environment
are
effective.
D.
The
media
campaign
has
failed
to
promote
honey
bee
businesses.
34.
What
surprised
Shelly
Smith's
team?
A.
Beekeeping
companies'
making
great
profits.
B.
The
quick
expansion
of
be-friendly
habitats.
C.
The
public's
ignorance
of
bee

Do
you
like
the
idea
of
running
your

business
from

Most
of
you
do,
and
the
first
things
you
say
you

about
it
are
being
your
own
boss,
having
flexible

37_..
You

make
profits.
If
no,
you
will
find
that
your

non-existent
So,
have
set

you
productively
work
on
building

___38___
Doctors'
appointments

family
commitments
can
simply
be
worked
into
your
schedule.
Again,
you
need
to
arrange
your
appointments
carefully
and
try
to
book
them
together.
This
way
you
can
get
all
of
your
running
around
done
in
one
day.
Working
in
your
pajamas
may
seem
appealing
initially.
But
it
can
also
prevent
you
from
actually
getting
your
work
done.__
39__
After
that,
just
walk
into
your
office
and
start
your
day's
work.
Being
too
casual
means
getting
less
work
done
on
a
regular
basis.
In
order
to
run
a
successful
business
from
home
you
need
to
have
a

time.
Build
your
business
first,
before
taking
advantage
of
what
working
from
home
offers.
A.
But
It
Cu
also
become
your
downfall
without
care.
B.
Flexible
hours
are
another
huge
plus
of
working
from

C.
Once
it's
achieved,
you'

D.
You
may
find
it
more
efficient
to
get
up,
exercise,
then
shower
and
dress
for
work.
E.
This
includes
realizing
that
you
and
only
you
are
responsible
for
your
own
income.
F.
One
of
the
biggest
drawbacks
is
that

When
there
was
news
that
a
storm
was
coming,
Sarah
didn’t
think
much
about
it.
She
simply
shrugged
it
off
like
any
other
normal
day.
When
she
went
to
the
grocery
store
and
saw
that
it
was
full,
she
still
didn’t
worry.
People
ran
like
mad
between
aisles
(过道),
grabbing
what
they
could.
Bare
shelves
and
long
lines
made
Sarah
chuckle
(窃笑).
They
must
be
overreacting,
she
thought.
On
her
way
home,
she
looked
overhead.
Dark
clouds
were
indeed
forming.
And
they
seemed
to
be
moving
quickly
across
the
sky.
Still,
Sarah
was
not
bothered.
The
rain
would
be
nice
since
it
had
been
warm
lately.
When
she
got
home,
Sarah
made
popcorn
and
sat
on
the
sofa
with
her
dog,
Cooper,
and
got
ready
to
watch
a
movie.
Just
as
she
hit
play
on
the
remote,
she
heard
the
thunder.
Rain
started
to
come
down
hard,
making
it
almost
impossible
to
see
the
trees
in
her
front
yard
through
the
window.
Cooper
immediately
jumped
from
the
sofa,
barking
in
fear
in
the
corner.
“It’s
OK.”
Sarah
said.
She
moved
to
one
side
and
saw
Cooper
looked
a
bit
nervous.
Sarah
turned
off
the
movie
and
instead
skipped
to
the
local
news
station.
The
storm
was
much
more
serious
than
she
had
thought.
People
in
a
nearby
city
even
said
they
spotted
a
tornado.
The
reporter
advised
people
to
stay
inside
and
secure
all
of
the
doors
and
windows.
Sarah
got
up
and
began
making
her
way
around
the
house.
Cooper
followed
close
behind
as
she
checked
all
of
the
windows
to
make
sure
they
were
all
fully
closed.
By
the
time
she
got
back
to
her
sofa,
the
rain
had
stopped.
“That
wasn’t
so
bad,”
Sarah
said
aloud.
“Just
a
nice
shower.”
She
turned
to
cooper,
who
had
gone
back
to
the
corner
and
still
looked
a
bit
frightened.
She
looked
outside.
It
was
actually
very
calm,
but
she
could
see
that
the
wind
was
picking
up.
The
branches
of
the
trees
were
swinging
and
the
garbage
bin
had
tipped
over.
