【短文分析】本文是记叙文作者在15岁的时候,好友患上了心理疾病,为了更好地帮助好友,她创建了Buddy
Project。如今她通过
Buddy
Project筹资,帮助那些患心理疾病却没钱医治的患者。她希望将来能筹到更多的资金去帮助更多的心理疾病患者。
24.
C
段落大意题。本段作者首先提到了I
created
Buddy
Project...
接着下文又提到好友患心理疾病使她开始关注心理病,并希望能全力以赴帮助好友,以及她个人在网上找到和自己志同道合的朋友圈,这两件事揉和在一起使她想到要帮助心理疾病患者建立一个属于他们的圈子,故选C。
25.
B
细节理解题。由第二段中的I
didn’t
really
think
that
many
people
would
be
interested
in
it.
On
the
first
day,
however,
3,000
people
signed
up.可知,作者没想到会有这么多人参与她的项目。
26.
C
推理判断题。由第三段中的
Mental
illness
affects
tens
of
millions
of
people
in
the
United
States
each
year,
yet
only
half
receive
treatment.
以及Mental
health
care
is
not
always
accessible
or
affordable...
the
cost
of
treatment
would
still
be
a
problem.
Without
help,
there
are
some
people
who
won’t
be
able
to
receive
theproper
care.可推知,作者写本段的目的是想表明有必要去帮助那些患有心理疾病的人们。
27.
D
细节理解题。由末段中的We’ve
mainly
focused
on
raising
money
for
people
in
our
hometown
of
southeastern
Pennsylvania,
but
we
want
to
expand
and
offer
help
throughout
the
United
States可知,Buddy
Project希望将来能够不仅仅帮助自己家乡的心理疾病患者,而且能帮助全国的心理疾病患者接受治疗。
C篇
主题语境:人与自然—环境保护
【短文分析】本文是说明文。文章介绍了今年春天日本有些地方的樱花开花日期为一千多年来最早,这引起了科学家对全球变暖及其影响的担忧。
28.
D
判断推理题。文章第一段提到But
this
year,
the
cherry
blossom
season
has
come
and
gone
in
the
blink
of
an
eye,
in
one
of
the
earliest
blooms
on
record.
今年樱花开花时间为历史最早的一年,第二段列出具体城市和具体开花时间以证明。
29.
A
细节理解题。文章分析了樱花开花日期越来越早是全球变暖的迹象。第一段最后一句...and
scientists
warn
it’s
a
symptom
of
the
larger
climate
crisis
threatening
ecosystems
everywhere.科学家担心全球变暖给地球带来危机。最后一段中再次提到it
could
have
a
lasting
impact
on
entire
ecosystems,
and
threaten
the
survival
of
many
species.
30.
C
词义猜测题。从后句to
catch
peak
bloom
before
the
petals
all
fall
可猜测需要“匆忙”去看樱花的盛开。
31.
B
主旨大意题。全文分析了樱花早开的原因(increased
heat)及其可能的影响,主要是希望引起世人对全球变暖的警惕。
B选项反用一句英语俗语作文章标题点出了文章的写作目的。
D篇
主题语境:人与社会——技术
【短文分析】
本文是说明文。文章介绍了一款由荷兰的Lightyear公司研发的太阳能电动汽车。
32.
B
细节理解题。由第一段中的which
can
constantly
refill
its
power
using
the
sun
and
travel
a
range
of
up
to
800
km
when
fully
powered.
That’s
just
the
start:
The
company
claims
that
in
sunny
environments
(say,
Hawaii),
the
One
could
potentially
drive
for
months
at
a
time
between
charges.
可知,最影响这款车的最大续航里程的因素是天气。在阳光充足的环境下,该车可以开好几个月而不需要通过插座充电。
33.
D
篇章结构题。划线词指代上文的
The
solar
power
collected
by
the
car’s
panels
could
be
used
to
power
more
than
just
the
One
itself,
allowing
owners
to
connect
the
energy
to
their
homes,
devices,
and
even
other
electric
cars.
即这款车收集的太阳能不仅可以给该车本身充电,而且可以给车主的家里、装置、甚至是其他的电动车充电。可见,这款车相当于一个可移动的电能共享系统,这是一个很好的创意。故D项正确。
34.
D
推理判断题。由第五段中的Lightyear’s
founders
aren’t
new
to
the
solar
car
...
The
company
was
started
by
five
former
members
of
Solar
Team
Eindhoven,
the
group
that
created
the
four-seat,
solar-powered
car
Stella
which
hit
the
US
streets
back
in
2014.可知,介绍斯特拉太阳能车是为了说明
the
One的发明者们的相关工作背景。
35.
A
推理判断题。尽管作者对这款新型汽车能否像公司宣称的那样出色不确定,但是全文作者旨在介绍这款新型汽车,并在最后一句
If
the
company
succeeds,
however,
we
could
be
looking
at
a
new
future?of
cars,
directly
powered
by
the
sun.
表达了作者对这款革命性汽车的未来的期盼,所以选A。
七选五。
本文为说明文。文章介绍了如何和老人一起生活。
36.
G
该句“但是我们也需要尊重老年人独立的需要”承接上句提到“和者年人一起生活对每个人来说都既有回报,也有挑战”,该句与上一句构成了转折关系。
37.
F
该句“交流是任何关系中最重要的元素”为该段主题句“和你年长的室友交流”的支撑句,下文又提到了不交流造成的不良后果。关键词为“交流”。
38.
A
该句“确定边界”为主题句。下文提“双方需要就彼此的空间、独立性和自主性达成一致。你需要了解你的老人在被帮助的时候对什么感到舒服,和他们谈谈他们对你们关系的期望,讨论共享空间的使用,如浴室、厨房或客厅”。总而言之,这些都是在确定各自的边界,包括空间和情感上的边界。
39.
E该句“这将帮助你在未来避免问题”为结尾句,上文提到了“记录在这方面的作用很大,所以如果你一开始就知道谁出钱买什么,井把它写下来,你就占了主动权”。该句是对这样做的结果进行述。
40.
D该句“不要进入他们的私人空间”“不要把自己变成一个照顾者。没有需要就不要成为一名护士”和前两句构成了并列关系,且该句呼应主题“给对方隐私”。
完形填空:
41.
C
由本文第一段...
only
a
few
weeks
into
the
school
year
at
Edgewood
Primary
School.
Julia
Koch,
a
first
grade...
以及第二段Koch
called
her
headmaster...和最后一段...I’m
proud
of
the
people
I
work
with...可知Julia
Koch是一名教师,故选C。
42.
A
由第二段...but
she
had
never
heard
the
grandmother
sound
quite
like
this...
中的sound和Koch
could
barely
understand
her.中的heard可知,Koch接到的是电话,故选A。
43.
A
由第二段...but
she
had
never
heard
the
grandmother
sound
quite
like
this...
Koch
could
barely
understand
her.
Koch
called
her
headmaster...
可知,Koch“感觉到,意识到”
Phillips反应不太正常,可是因为电话中barely
understand
her,所以不太确定真实情况,于是给headmaster打电话,故选A。
44.
D
由第二段...but
she
had
never
heard
the
grandmother
sound
quite
like
this.中heard和sound可知,Koch和Phillips面对面或电话聊天比较多,故选D。
45.
B
由第二段该空后...that
Koch
could
barely
understand
her.以及第三段...she
might
be
having
a
stroke
(中风)
—
he
recognized...
from
when
his
own
father
had
suffered
one.可知,Phillips可能中风了,所以说话“不连续的,间断的”,故选B。
46.
C
由第二段该空后...
that
he
would
call
and
check
on
Phillips
himself.和第三段Just
like
Koch,
Mr.
Smith
could
hardly
understand
Phillips
...
she
might
be
having
a
stroke
(中风)
—
he
recognized
the...
from
when
his
own
father
had
suffered
one.可知Mr.
Smith接到Koch的电话后,没有忽视这件事,而是给Phillips打电话了解情况,所以此项应该是“承诺,答应”Koch。
47.
B
由第三段Just
like
Koch,
Mr.
Smith
could
hardly
understand
Phillips...she
might
be
having
a
stroke
(中风)
—
he
recognized
the...
from
when
his
own
father
had
suffered
one.可知,Mr.
Smith只是根据Phillips在电话中无法表达清楚自己的意思,及以他往的经验猜测Phillips可能中了风,所以选B,“疑有,觉得(尤指坏事可能属实或发生)”。
48.
B
由第三段...she
might
be
having
a
stroke
(中风)
—
he
recognized
the...
from
when
his
own
father
had
suffered
one.可知,Mr.
Smith是根据以往他父亲中风时的类似“症状”猜测的,故选B。
49.
A
Mr.
Smith是在给Phillips打电话的过程中了解的情况和作出的猜测,所以选A.
make
out
“(费力地)听清”。
50.
B
由第三段...
Mr.
Smith
could
hardly
understand
Phillips...Mr.
Smith
was
able
to
make
out
the
word
“kids”
...
Phillips’s
two
grandchildren,
aged
six
and
eight,
were
probably
home
alone
with
her...可知,Mr.
Smith“担心”Phillips正和两个年幼的孙子单独待在家里,但是因为电话里Phillips断断续续的声音实在让人难以听懂,所以不应该选C.
convinced
“确信的”。
51.
C
由第三段
...she
might
be
having
a
stroke
(中风)
...
Phillips’s
two
grandchildren,
aged
six
and
eight,
were
probably
home
alone
with
her和第四段the
two
children
...
shocked可知,两个年幼的孙子看到奶奶中风,家里又没有其他人的帮助时,应该是terrified
“恐惧的,害怕的”,而不是“注意力集中的”,“尴尬的”,故选C。
52.
D
由第三段Phillips’s
two
grandchildren,
aged
six
and
eight,
were
probably
home
alone
with
her...Mr.
Smith
called
an
ambulance可知,此处应该是“急救人员”在实施急救,而不是“旁观者”,“路人”,C项grown-ups和D项相比,D为最佳选项。
53.
A
由第三段Mr.
Smith猜测Phillips’s
two
grandchildren,
aged
six
and
eight,
were
probably
home
alone
with
her,
and
terrified,而他到现场看到的shocked印证了之前的猜测,所以应该是obviously
“明显地”,而不是“B.秘密地”,“D.渴望地”;是“自然而然地,本能地”,而不是“C.公开地”,所以选A为最佳答案。
54.
C
本文从一开始Koch在电话中察觉有异样后,马上给校长Mr.
Smith打电话,
Mr.
Smith打电话核实情况并叫了救护车,以及When
they
pulled
up
less
than
ten
minutes
later,
first
aiders
were
treating
Phillips...可知,
众人“反应”迅速,故选C。
55.
D
该空是本文的升华部分,在施救工作中,众人从行动迅速,究其背后的原因,应该是这是一个“乐于助人的”,充满了爱的社区。
语法填空:
56.
were
stuck

59.
approximately
修饰后面的数字,
应用副词。
60.
tracks
Maoyan后跟了同位语an
app,其后which引导的定语从句介绍的是猫眼这个app的功能,所以用一般现在时。

所以用形容词powerful。
62.
on

on
sth.。

65.
recovering
此句表达的是“中国票房得以扭转颓势”,recovering
现在分词表达“正在恢复的”。

with
this.
M:
Sure,
Anny.
What
do
you
need?
W:
It's
the
registration
form
I
have
to
fill
out
for
school;
there's
a
line
that
I
don't
know
what
to
do
with.
M:
Which
one?
W:
Where
it
says
"Country
of
Origin",
I
was
born
in
Japan,
but
when
I
was
a
baby
we
moved
to
France.
Several
months
later,
we
moved
again
to
California.
That’s
where
I
lived
until
I
went
to
university.
M:
Your
mother's
an
American
citizen,
right?
W:
Yes,
she
is.
She
was
born
and
raised
in
Texas.
M:
And
you
have
a
US
passport?
W:
Yes,
I
do.
M:
Well,
then,
don't
worry
about
this.
It's
only
for
people
who
aren’t
American
citizens.
W:
Thanks,
that's
everything.
I'm
finished!
All
I
need
now
is
a
stamp
and
an
envelope.

M:
Hey,
Mary!
You've
really
been
gone
a
long
time.
How
did
you
do
that?
W:
Hi!
Well,
I
talked
with
my
teachers
before
I
left
about
the
work
I
would
miss.
But
my
aunt
in
Denver
made
me
study
a
lot
there.
M:
I
had
thought
she
was
your
rich
aunt.
W:
Not
very.
But
she
didn't
have
any
children,
so
she
does
have
some
money,
even
though
she
was
a
teacher.
M:
How
was
the
holiday?
W:
Cool
–
at
least
three
of
the
days
I
went.
And
I
saw
so
many
people
on
the
mountain
on
Washington's
Birthday.
M:
The
beaches
were
full
on
Washington's
Birthday
here
too.
It
really
was
warm
here,
so
lots
of
people
went
swimming.
W:
Well,
we
should
have
stayed
home
that
day.
There
were
so
many
people.
We
took
the
train
over
to
the
mountain,
so
we
didn't
have
to
drive.
It
was
a
good
thing
we
did
–
there
were
so
many
cars
and
buses,
and
no
place
to
park
anywhere.
M:
Just
like
the
beaches
here.

M:
Well,
thank
you
for
inviting
me
here
today
to
talk
to
you
about
the

and
holiday

I

Let
me
tell
you
about
a
normal
day's
program.
You'll
probably
be
pleased
to
know
we
don't
make
you
get
up
too
early.
After
breakfast
at
8:
30,
we
begin
at
10
o'clock
by
getting
the
horses
ready.
You
need
to
make
sure
you
have
the
right
equipment
before
the
ride
begins
at
about
11:
30
am.
For
the
first
few
miles
we
go
quite
slowly,
breaking
for
about
an
hour
at
midday,
near
a
beach
or
lake
where
you
can
swim
or
sunbathe.
At
about
1:00
pm,
we
have
packed
lunch
together.
We
arrive
back
at
the
Centre
at
about
4:
00
pm.
Everyone
has
to
wear
a
hard
hat
and
these
are
available
free
of
charge
at
the
Centre.
Trainers
are
no
good
for
riding,
I'm
afraid.
Strong
shoes
or
boots
with
a
small
heel
are
best.
Warm
clothes
such
as
jeans
and
sweater,
some
swimwear
and
a
small
shoulder
bag
for
carrying
a
packed
lunch
are
useful.
And
now
for
the
price.
Well,
a
four-day
holiday
is
?29
per
person
and
that
includes
the
riding,
the
equipment.
The
accommodation
and
all
food
are
no
included.注意事项:

B
I
created
Buddy
Project
when
I
was
a
15-year-old
girl.
At
the
time,
my
best
friend
had
been
diagnosed
with
a
mental
health
condition,
and
that
was
the
first
time
I
was
made
aware
of
what
mental
illness
was.
I
wanted
to
learn
more
and
create
a
good
support
system
for
her.
Back
then,
I
was
also
on
Twitter
because
I
had
trouble
making
friends
in
school.
I
found
a
lot
of
people
I
related
to
online,
and
I
found
a
community
of
friends
based
on
my
interests.
I
combined
those
two
experiences
and
wanted
to
make
a
way
for
people
to
find
a
safe
and
loving
community
online.
I
wanted
people
to
have
a
peer
(同龄人)
support
system
available
to
them
and
to
feel
accepted.
When
I
started
Buddy
Project,
I
was
in
the
ninth
grade
and
only
had
free
time
after
school.
I
intended
it
to
be
something
I
did
part-time.
I
didn’t
really
think
that
many
people
would
be
interested
in
it.
On
the
first
day,
however,
3,000
people
signed
up.
I
realized
then
that
that
was
not
something
I
was
just
going
to
do
as
scheduled.
Mental
illness
affects
tens
of
millions
of
people
in
the
United
States
each
year,
yet
only
half
receive
treatment,
according
to
the
National
Institute
of
Mental
Health.
Mental
health
care
is
not
always
accessible
or
affordable,
and
that
needs
to
be
talked
about.
Even
if
the
stigma
(羞耻)
surrounding
mental
illness
decreased,
the
cost
of
treatment
would
still
be
a
problem.
Without
help,
there
are
some
people
who
won’t
be
able
to
receive
the
proper
care.
Buddy
Project
started
out
by
just
raising
awareness
of
mental
health
on
social
media.
Then
we
became
a
non-profit,
and
since
2015
we’ve
been
trying
to
fundraise
to
help
pay
for
others’
mental
health
treatments
too.
We’ve
mainly
focused
on
raising
money
for
people
in
our
hometown
of
southeastern
Pennsylvania,
but
we
want
to
expand
and
offer
help
throughout
the
United
States.
Paragraph
1
mainly
tells
us
about
how
the
author
.
sought
ways
to
drive
away
loneliness.
eventually
found
friendship
online.
came
up
with
the
idea
for
Buddy
Project.
helped
her
best
friend
with
mental
illness.
What
went
beyond
the
author’s
expectations?
That
her
studies
were
badly
influenced.
That
so
many
people
participated
in
her
project.
That
she
could
carry
out
the
project
part-time.
That
she
had
enough
free
time
for
her
project.
What’s
the
purpose
of
Paragraph
3?
To
explain
the
influence
of
mental
health
care.
To
show
her
positive
attitude
toward
mental
illness.
To
show
the
necessity
of
helping
those
with
mental
illness.
To
encourage
lower
costs
of
treatment
for
mental
illness.
What
does
Buddy
Project
plan
to
do
in
the
future?
Offer
different
types
of
mental
health
care.
Find
more
ways
to
prevent
mental
illness
happening.
Raise
awareness
of
mental
health
on
social

Help
more
people
receive
mental
illness
treatments.
C
Think
of
Japan
in
the
spring,
and
the
image
that
comes
to
mind
is
likely
the
country’s
famous
cherry
blossoms,
which
experience
a
“peak
bloom
(开花)”
that
only
lasts
a
few
days
and
have
been
honored
in
Japan
for
more
than
a
thousand
years.
But
this
year,
the
cherry
blossom
season
has
come
and
gone
in
the
blink
of
an
eye,
in
one
of
the
earliest
blossoms
on
record
--
and
scientists
warn
it’s
a
symptom
of
the
larger
climate
crisis
threatening
ecosystems
everywhere.
Yasuyuki
Aono,
a
researcher
at
Osaka
Prefecture
University,
has
gathered
records
from
Kyoto
back
to
812
AD
from
historical
documents
and
diaries.
In
the
central
city
of
Kyoto,
cherry
blossoms
peaked
on
March
26,
the
earliest
in
more
than
1,200
years,
Aono
said.
And
in
the
capital
Tokyo,
cherry
blossoms
reached
full
bloom
on
March
22,
the
second-earliest
date
on
record.
The
peak
bloom
dates
shift
every
year,
depending
on
numerous
factors
including
weather
and
rainfall,
but
have
shown
a
general
trend
of
moving
earlier
and
earlier.
“Cherry
blooms
are
very
temperature
sensitive,”
said
Aono.
“Flowering
and
full
bloom
could
be
earlier
or
later
depending
on
the
temperature
alone,”
he
said.
This
year’s
seasons
in
particular
influenced
the
blossom
dates,
he
added.
The
winter
was
very
cold,
but
the
spring
came
fast
and
unusually
warm,
so
“the
buds
are
completely
awake
after
enough
rest.”
Their
early
bloom,
however,
is
just
the
tip
of
the
iceberg
of
a
worldwide
phenomenon
that
could
make
natural
systems
and
countries’
economies
unstable,
said
Amos
Tai,
assistant
professor
of
earth
science
at
the
Chinese
University
of
Hong
Kong.
There
are
two
sources
of
increased
heat,
which
is
the
main
factor
making
the
flowers
bloom
earlier:
urbanization(城市化)and
climate
change.
With
increased
urbanization,
cities
tend
to
get
warmer
than
the
surrounding
rural
area,
in
what
is
called
the
heat
island
effect.
But
a
bigger
reason
is
climate
change,
which
has
caused
rising
temperatures
across
the
region
and
the
world.
These
earlier
dates
aren’t
just
a
matter
of
tourists
scrambling
to
catch
peak
bloom
before
the
petals
all
fall
--
it
could
have
a
lasting
impact
on
entire
ecosystems,
and
threaten
the
survival
of
many
species.
What
is
the
purpose
of
mentioning
the
dates
and
figures
in
paragraph
2?
To
present
“peak
bloom”
in
Tokyo
came
earlier
than
in
Kyoto.
To
suggest
when
cherry
blossoms
will
bloom
next
year.
To
report
the
dates
of
“peak
bloom”
in
different
Japanese
cities.
To
show
cherry
blossoms
came
out
earlier
this
year
than
in
the
past.
Why
are
scientists
worried
about
the
peak
bloom
moving
earlier
and
earlier?
The
blossom
season
this
year
is
a
sign
of

D
A
new
Dutch
car
company,
Lightyear,
announced
its
new
car,
Lightyear
One
concept
earlier
this
week,
which
can
constantly
refill
its
power
using
the
sun
and
travel
a
range
of
up
to
800
km
when
fully
powered.
That’s
just
the
start:
The
company
claims
that
in
sunny
environments
(say,
Hawaii),
the
One
could
potentially
drive
for
months
at
a
time
between
charges.
The
Lightyear
team
claims
the
car
can
fuel
up
with
more
than
just
sunshine.
It
is
equipped
to
charge
from
a
socket
(
插座),
even
a
regular
household
power
socket.
Lightyear
claims
that
just
charging
its
car
from
a
standard
(3.7
kw)
socket
for
an
hour
would
give
you
40
km
worth
of
power.
The
solar
power
collected
by
the
car’s
panels
could
be
used
to
power
more
than
just
the
One
itself,
allowing
owners
to
connect
the
energy
to
their
homes,
devices,
and
even
other
electric
cars.
This
is
indeed
a
new
idea.
It’s
not
exactly
clear
how
the
company
plans
to
produce
its
breakthrough
cars.
The
company’s
website
includes
some
unclear
language
about
a
“completely
newly-designed
car”
which
will
require
a
“revolutionary
production
process”.
It
mentions
that
industry
partners
have
signed
up
to
support
the
process,
but
doesn’t
offer
any
specific
names.
Lightyear’s
founders
aren’t
new
to
the
solar
car,
which
makes
the
One
slightly
more
believable
than
other
new
concepts
with
little
real-world
data
to
support
them.
The
company
was
started
by
five
former
members
of
Solar
Team
Eindhoven,
the
group
that
created
the
four-seat,
solar-powered
car
Stella
which
hit
the
US
streets
back
in
2014.
You
can
order
the
One
in
advance
now
in
the
EU
and
US,
but,
unsurprisingly,
it
won’t
come
cheap.
Reserving
a
One
will
allow
you
to
get
a
discount
if
you
pay
by
the
month
and
the
final
cost
is
expected
to
be
?119,000.
The
company
won’t
produce
the
One
on
a
large
scale
(
规模).
Therefore,
it
won’t
cause
industry
giants
like
Tesla
to
lose
any
sleep
just
yet,
and
Lightyear
still
has
to
prove
it
can
change
its
experimental
technology
into
a
fully
realized
consumer
experience.
If
the
company
succeeds,
however,
we
could
be
looking
at
a
new
future
of
cars,
directly
powered
by
the
sun.
Which
affects
the
One’s
longest
range
most?
Road
conditions.
B.
Weather
conditions.
C.
The
weight
it
bears.
D.
The
way
it
is
charged.
What
does
the
underlined
word
“This”
in
Paragraph
3
refer
to?
The
electric
car.
B.
The
solar-powered
car.
C.
The
electricity-powered
device.
D.
The
mobile
power-sharing
system.
Why
is
the
Stella
solar-powered
car
mentioned?
To
explain
the
principle
of
the
One.
To
prove
the
advantages
of
the
One.
To
compare
different
eco-friendly
cars.
To
show
the
background
of
the
One’s
creators.
Which
best
describes
the
author’s
attitude
to
the
One
in
the
text?
Hopeful.
B.
Worried.
C.
Doubtful.
D.
Surprised.

How
to
live
with
an
elderly
person
Living
with
an
elderly
person
has
both
rewards
and
challenges
for
everyone
involved.
36
Both
parties
need
to
be
patient
and
understand
their
unique
living
situation
in
order
to
make
it
work.
Here
are
some
tips
to
live
with
an
elderly
person.
Communicate
with
your
elderly
roommate.
37
If
you
don’t
communicate,
you
won’t
know
each
other’s
problems
and
concerns.
As
a
result,
you
won’t
be
able
to
form
a
relationship
that
respects
both
of
your
unique
qualities.
38
Both
parties
need
to
come
to
an
agreement
about
each
other’s
space,
independence,
and
autonomy
(自主性).
You
need
to
understand
what
your
elderly
person
is
comfortable
with
when
it
comes
to
being
assisted.
Talk
to
them
about
their
expectations
about
your
relationship.
Discuss
use
of
shared
space
like
the
bathroom,
kitchen,
or
living
room.
Figure
out
finances.
Figure
out
who
pays
for
what
ahead
of
time.
Having
finances
decided
and
agreed
upon
ahead
of
time
could
save
you
from
a
headache
or
even
legal
fees
in
the
future.
Records
will
make
a
big
difference
here,
so
if
you
start
out
knowing
who
pays
for
what,
and
have
it
written
down,
you
are
ahead
of
the
game.
39
Give
the
person
privacy.
When
possible,
they
should
have
as
much
privacy
and
personal
space
as
it
is
practical
to
allow.
Don’t
turn
yourself
into
a
caregiver.
Don’t
become
a
nurse
without
need.
40
Always
communicate
first
if
you
are
concerned
about
your
elderly
roommate.
Decide
boundaries.
Respect
each
other.
Don’t
leave
them
alone.
Don’t
enter
their
personal
space.
This
will
help
you
avoid
problems
in
the
future.
Communication
is
the
most
important
element
of
any
relationship.
But
we
also
need
to
respect
the
need
of
older
people
to
feel
independent.
