can不肯,may 不问, must肯定不否问
can不肯,即can/could 一般不用于肯定句
may不问,即may/might一般不用于疑问句
must肯定不否问,即must 一般仅用于肯定句,不用否定句和疑问句
一、表示有把握的推测时,肯定句用must(一定,准是),否定句用can’t / couldn’t (不可能,一定不)。
must / can’t(couldn’t) +动词原形,表示对现在情况的推测。
走了这么长的路,你肯定累了。
You must be tired after a long walk.
他不可能饿了,因为他刚吃过午饭。
He can’t / couldn’t be hungry since he has just had lunch.
must / can’t (couldn’t) be doing 表示对现在正在进行的情况的推测
他们一定在等着我们,让我们快点走吧。
They must be waiting for us. Let’s hurry up.
他一直带着眼镜,所以他的视力不可能在好转。
He wears glasses all the time. So his eyesight can’t / couldn’t be getting better.
must / can’t (couldn’t) have done 表示对过去情况的推测
He must have tried his best.
他肯定已经尽力了。
他昨天不可能已经解决了问题。
He can’t / couldn’t have solved the problem yesterday.
二、表示把握不大的推测即可能性,用can / could和may / might, “也许,可能”,may/might 用于肯定句和否定句,can用于疑问句。May / might 用于疑问句时不表示推测,意为“可以…吗”
