本册书为冀教版三年级起始版四年级
下册第一单元知识，适合于四年级下学期使用。本节课旨在帮助学生复习第一单元所学知识，了解自己和世界。所有的个体都是独特的。重要的是学生发展正确的自我意识，接受自己和同学透视有价值的人。

本课的教学对象是小学四年级的学生。这些学生从小学三年级开始学习英语，已经掌握了一些英语基础知识，并且具备了一定的语言组织能力。本课不存在难懂的句型，学生能够根据上下文及教师的解释理解个别生词的意思。所以在老师的引导下，学生完全有能力读懂整篇故事。
