名词讲义
一、名词的定义。
名词是表示人、事物、地点或抽象概念等名称的词。如：teacher
老师
apple苹果
tiger老虎、desk桌子。
二、名词的分类。
名词根据其意义可以分为普通名词和专有名词。
1.普通名词
表示某一类人、某一类事物、某种物质或抽象概念的名称。如farmer农民、water水等。
2.专有名词
表示某个（些）人、地方、机构等专有的名称词，如：China中国、Li
Ming李明、the
Great
Wall长城。
三、可数名词的数
名词根据是否能够用1、2、3等具体数字来计算，可以分成可数名词和不可数名词。
1.可数名词的复数形式
（1）可数名词的复数变化分为规则变化和不规则变化。名词复数形式的规则变化如下：
一般情况
+s
(1)清辅音后读/s/音
浊辅音和元音后读/z/音
map----maps
bag----bags
以s,sh,ch,x等结尾的词
+es
，es读/iz/
bus—buses
watch—watches
以ce,se,ze,(d)ge等结尾的词
+s
，s读/iz/license—licenses
以辅音字母+y结尾的词
变y为i再加-es
-ies读/iz/
baby—babies
以f或fe结尾的词
多数变f或fe为v再加-es
ves读作/vz/
knife—knives
以o结尾，表示有生命的事物的单数名词
+-es

tomato—tomatoes
以o结尾，表示没有生命的事物的单数名词
+-s
-s读作/z/

zoo—zoos
（2）英语中有些名词的复数为特殊形式，需要特殊记忆。

温馨提示：
名词单数变复数口诀
名词单数变复数，直接加-s占多数；s、x、ch、sh来结尾，直接加上-es；“辅音+y”在词尾，把y变i再加-es；词尾是f或fe，加-s之前先变为ve；词尾字母若是o，常用两个一足够，要加-es请记好，tomato，potato。少量名词不规则，特殊情况靠硬记。
2.不可数名词的数量表达
不可数名词没有单复数之分，但可借助单位量词表示一定的数量。如：a
cup
of
tea一杯茶。
四、名词的所有格
表示人或物品的所属关系时，我们就需要使用名词所有格。名词所有格的构成规律如表：
