一般过去时
一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的事，存在的状态或过去反复发生的动作．
每个动词都有与它相对应的动词过去式．下面我们就来看看动词过去式的构词法．
动词过去式的构词法：
１.大多数动词的过去式都是在动词的词尾直接加ed；
２.以辅音加结尾的动词，先变y为i，然后加ed；
３.以“辅元辅”结构结尾的动词，双写最后一个字母再加ed；
４.以e结尾的动词在词尾直接加d；
５.不规则变化.
现在我们来看看一些常见的不规则动词的过去式：
be-was/were become-became begin-began
bring-brought buy-bought catch-caught
come-came do-did draw-drew
drink-drank eat-ate feel-felt
find-found fly-flew get-got
give-gave go-went have-had
leave-left make-made read-read
ride-rode run-ran say-said
see-saw sing-sang sit-sat
sleep-slept speak-spoke stand-stood
swim-swam take-took teach-taught
think-thought throw-threw write-wrote
一般过去时的否定形式：
1.一般过去时的否定形式相互要是在主语后面加did not.
I watched TV yesterday.
I did not watch TV yesterday.
2.如果有be动词就直接在be动词的后面加not就可以了．
She was a nurse five years ago.
She was not a nurse five years ago.
3.如果有情态动词，就在情态动词后面直接加not.
They could swim in the sea.
They could not swim in the sea.
一般过去时的一般疑问句：
1.将助动词did提前，后面的动词保持原形不变．
They learned English before.
Did they learn English before?
Yes, they did./No, they didn’t.
2.如果句子中有be动词就直接将它提前．
They were good friends last year.
Were they good friends last year?
Yes, they were./No, they weren’t.
3.如果句子中有情态动词，直接用情态动词提问．
Should I do my homework?
Yes, you should./No, you shouldn’t.
与一般过去时连用的时间状语：
1.yesterday, last night (week, year, month, Sunday…), then, at that time, at that moment, just now, a few days (weeks, months, years) ago…
2.由after, before, when, while引导的时间状语从句．
3.一般过去时也可以与today, this week (month, year)等时间状语从句连用，但这些时间状语应指过去．
一般过去时的基本用法：
1.表示过去的动作或状态．在表示这个意义时多有明确的表过去的时间状语，或有上下文的暗示；
如：She turned on the light after she went in the room.
2.表示过去的习惯动作；
如：We often learned English last year.
3.用于谈论或评价已死的人；
如：Shakespeare wrote a lot of plays.
4.用于描述一些发生时间不清楚但肯定是过去发生的事情；
如：I was happy to talk with you.
5.可用来表示已完成的动作；
I wrote a letter yesterday.
6.可用于表示现在的情况，体现委婉客气的语气；
如：Did you want anything to drink?
1.Last Saturday, we ____ mountains together.
A. climb B. climbed C. climb D. climbing
2.The bird ____ away yesterday morning.
A. fly B. flied C. flew D. flying
3.Lucy, could you ____ me with English?
A. help B. helped C. helping D. helps
