In
the
past
decade,
the
use
of
social
media
has
grown
in
a
way
that
no
one
could
have
guessed.
It
has
turned
some
teenagers
into
celebrities
and
turned
the
famous
into
the
infamous,
overnight.
A
key
feature
of
social
media,
however,
is
its
volatility.
Trends
come
and
go,
disappearing
almost
as
quickly
as
they
appeared.
So,
what
were
the
key
social
media
trends
of
2018?
Short
video
apps
such
as
TikTok
and
its
Chinese
equivalent(等同物)
Douyin,
took
the
world
by
storm.
The
Telegraph
reported
that
TikTok
was
ranked
8th
on
Apple's
App
store
in
April.
And
Douyin
had
more
than
300
million
domestic
monthly
active
users
in
June
at
home,
CNBC
said.
Why
are
these
short
videos—which
are
rarely
longer
than
a
few
minutes—so
popular?
Jiang
Yige,
Singapore?based
analyst
at
FengHe
Fund
Management,
has
a
theory.
“Short
videos
are
just
right
to
fill
in
the
little
gaps
in
our
busy
schedules,”
he
told
CNBC.
These
videos—apart
from
being
very
convenient—are
important
to
teenagers
because
they
allow
them
to
express
themselves,
according
to
Teen
Vogue.
Liza
Koshy,
a
user
of
the
US
app
Musical.ly
who
has
over
2
million
followers,
said,
“The
sense
of
community
that
users
of
short
video
apps
get
is
another
appealing
feature.”
Live
streaming(直播)
is
a
feature
of
our
social
media
life
that
now
seems
as
natural
as
sunrise.
It's
a
pretty
neat
idea:
You
can
watch
anyone,
anywhere,
live.
However,
China
has
taken
live
streaming
to
a
whole
new
level.
In
China,
more
than
100
million
viewers
monthly
watch
a
live
streaming
video.
Forbes
thought
that
a
number
of
factors
had
led
to
the
popularity
of
live
streams.
Among
them
is
viewers'
ability
to
interact
with
unknown
names.
However,
the
quick
development
of
social
media
may
be
having
side
effects
too.
Fake
news
is
one
serious
problem
it
causes.
Materials
shared
on
these
platforms
are
often
not
checked
for
accuracy.
The
most
basic
content
can
be
false
and
can
mislead
users
one
way
or
another.
We
use
social
media
all
the
time;
that
doesn't
mean
that
we
understand
the
influence
it
is
having
on
us.
We
should
be
mindful
of
both
the
time
we
spend
on
it
and
its
impact
on
our
minds.
4.

word
“volatility”
in
Paragraph
2
possibly
means
“being________”.
A.
changeable
B.
steady
C.
promising

violent
5.
According
to
Liza
Koshy,
short
videos
are
very
popular
because________.
A.
they
are
very
convenient
B.
they
help
people
kill
time
C.
they
provide
a
sense
of
community
D.
they
allow
people
to
express
themselves
6.
What
do
we
know
about
social
media?
A.
The
information
from
social
media
is
totally
reliable.
B.
When
it
comes
to
social
media,
people
only
know
short
videos.
C.
People
can't
communicate
with
each
other
without
social
media.
D.
There
is
still
much
room
for
social
media
to
make
improvement.
7.
What
is
the
author's
attitude
to
the
quick
development
of
social
media?

The
biggest
challenge
faced
by
travelers,
especially
those
who
like
to
have
a
backpacking
trip
is
how
to
ensure
a
steady
supply
of
clean
clothes.
Now,
thanks
to
a
great
invention
called
Scrubba
Wash
Pack,
that
worry
may
be
a
thing
of
the
past.
The
portable
washing
machine
was
invented
by
Ash
Newland
in
2010,
while
he
was
planning
to
climb
Mt.
Kilimanjaro.
Struck
by
the
limited
packing
space,
he
got
inspiration
from
traditional
washboards
to
create
a
bag
that
could
be
used
to
clean
clothes.
Then
he
quitted
his
career
as
a
lawyer
and
focused
on
perfecting
the
bag’s
design.
By
2012,
the
bag
was
ready
for
the
public.
It
weighed
only
180
grams
and
required
very
little
storage
space,
making
it
perfect
for
anyone
wishing
to
travel
light.
Not
surprisingly,
the
bag
which
was
worth
55
dollars
was
an
instant
hit
with
travelers,
university
students
and
even
passengers.
However,
Newland
was
not
satisfied.
He
still
saw
a
disadvantage
with
his
invention
—
dirty
clothes
had
to
be
carried
around
in
a
separate
bag!
The
recently
introduced
Scrubba
Wash
Pack
solves
that
problem.
In
order
to
make
the
pack
active,
dirty
clothes
are
placed
inside
the
bag
along
with
two
or
three
liters
of
water.
The
bag
is
then
shut
tightly
to
ensure
all
air
is
squeezed
out
and
the
colors
are
massaged
for
a
few
minutes.
After
a
quick
wash,
they
are
clean
and
ready
to
be
dried.
According
to
Newland,
the
pack
can
clean
anything
from
jeans
to
smelly
socks!
What’s
even
more
amazing
is
that
with
a
capacity
to
hold
13
liters
of
water,
it
can
be
used
to
wash
more
clothes
at
a
time.
The
best
part
is
that
the
99-dollar
pack
that
will
be
available
for
sale
later
this
year
only
weighs
300
grams
and
is
completely
foldable,
making
it
easy
to
store
when
it’s
not
in
use.
With
the
Scrubba
Wash
Pack,
wandering
through
foreign
cities
searching
for
a
washing
shop,
or
paying
for
washing
machines
may
soon
be
a
thing
of
the
past.
8.
What
led
Ash
Newland
to
create
the
Scrubba
Wash
Pack?
A.
His
job
requirement.
B.
A
traditional
washboard.
C.
His
interest
in
invention.
D.
His
personal
experience.
9.
Why
wasn’t
Ash
Newland
satisfied
with
his
former
invention?
A.
Clothes
couldn’t
be
washed
well.
B.
The
invention
was
not
so
convenient.
C.
The
bag
couldn’t
contain
enough
water.
D.
The
cost
of
the
invention
was
very
high.
10.
It
can
be
inferred
that
the
improved
Scrubba
Wash
Pack
________.
A.
turns
to
be
much
environmentally
friendly
B.
will
replace
the
traditional
washing
machines
C.
will
be
widely
used
by
more
travelers
in
the
future
D.
can
encourage
more
people
to
travel
a
long
distance
11.
What’s
the
passage
mainly
about?
A.
Introducing
a
great
new
invention.
B.
Explaining
the
development
of
backpack.
C.
Listing
some
common
problems
for
travelers.
D.
Comparing
two
kinds
of
washing
machines.

In
autumn
of
1975,
two
mothers
in
Lyme,
Connecticut,
were
desperate
for
answers
their
doctors
could
not
provide.
Their
families
and
others
in
the
Lyme
area
were
suffering
from
a
mysterious(神秘的)illness.
Two
doctors
from
Yale,
Allan
Steere
and
Stephen
Malawista,
began
an
investigation
that
would
result
in
a
groundbreaking
medical
discovery.
The
doctors
began
by
conducting
individual
examinations
of
each
patient.
They
found
patients
of
all
ages
were
suffering
from
a
set
of
symptoms
(症状)
rarely
observed
together.
Blood
samples
revealed
no
virus
that
offered
a
clue
about
the
cause.
However,
they
found
fruitful
information
in
their
interviews
with
patients:
one
quarter
of
them
recalled
a
skin
rash
(皮疹)
with
a
bull’s-eye
pattern
about
four
weeks
before
other
symptoms
arose.
Armed
with
this
new
clue,
the
Department
of
Health
worked
with
the
Yale
doctors,
conducting
surveys
to
learn
where
the
disease
was
most
widely
seen.
It
seemed
that
the
majority
of
patients
lived
in
heavily
wooded
areas,
who
spent
a
good
deal
of
time
outdoors,
gardening,
landscaping,
or
playing.
The
symptoms
were
nearly
always
experienced
for
the
first
time
during
summer.
Crucially,
some
recalled
having
been
bitten
by
a
tick
(蝉),
which
feeds
mostly
on
the
blood
of
mammals
and
birds.
By
1977,
investigators
confirmed
that
the
deer
tick
was
responsible.
But
no
one
could
say
why
it
was
causing
the
illness
or
how
patients
could
be
treated.
In
1982,
a
scientist
named
Willy
Burgdorfer
discovered
a
specific
type
of
bacteria
(细菌),
carried
by
the
deer
tick,
which
was
causing
the
disease.
But
how
did
the
deer
tick
acquire
the
bacteria
in
the
first
place?
Finally,
scientists
determined
that
the
ticks
picked
up
the
bacteria
from
their
hosts.
As
its
name
suggests,
the
deer
tick
often
feeds
on
deer,
carriers
of
the
Lyme
disease
bacteria.
Scientists
concluded
that
the
bacteria
passed
from
wildlife
to
ticks
to
humans.
All
lived
closely
among
one
another
in
the
area.
How
could
a
disease
from
a
common
parasite(寄生虫)spring
up
so
suddenly?
Many
areas
of
the
northeast,
including
Lyme,
were
once
farmland.
The
farmland
was
replanted
with
trees.
After
the
forest
grew
in,
the
area
was
then
developed
with
houses.
Gradually,
neighborhoods
pushed
deeper
into
the
habitat
of
deer
ticks
and,
more
importantly,
the
wildlife
they
fed
upon.
As
humans
encountered
more
ticks,
they
became
more
likely
to
contract
the
disease.
One
of
the
remaining
mysteries
about
Lyme
disease
is
where
and
when
it
truly
began.
This
puzzle
may
never
be
solved.
Today,
Lyme
disease——if
caught
early—is
easily
treated
with
antibiotics,
thanks
to
the
hard
work
of
many
scientists,
doctors,
and
patients.
12.

Dr.
Steere
and
Dr.
Malawista
most?

Conducting
patient
interviews.
B.
Carrying
out
a
field
survey.
C.
Studying
patients’
blood
samples.
D.

From
the
passage,
we
can
learn
that
_______.
A.
deer
ticks
were
first
carriers
of
the
Lyme
disease
bacteria
B.
patients’
remembrance
of
tick
bites
was
vital
to

第二节(共5小题;每小题2分,共10分)
根据短文内容,从短文后的七个选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
Have
you
ever
been
labeled
a
“perfectionist”?
Or
do
you
consider
yourself
to
be
one?
It’s
attractive
to
see
perfectionism
as
a
positive
quality—it
shows
that
we
pay
close
attention
to
detail
and
get
things
right!
And,
it
is
often
viewed
as
a
strength
that
helps
people
to
produce
high-quality
work.
____16____
It
can
damage
self-esteem,
cause
relationship
problems,
and,
in
extreme
cases,
it
may
even
lead
to
serious
health
problems.
If
you
think
that
you
have
a
problem
with
perfectionism,
the
following
strategies
can
help
you
to
lessen
its
negative
effects.
Set
realistic
goals.
____17____
Instead,
learn
to
think
about
your
most
important
life
and
career
goals.
Then,
break
them
down
into
smaller
steps.
Not
only
will
this
make
it
easier
to
reach
your
objectives,
but
you’ll
also
experience
the
thrill
of
achieving
them.
____18____
If
you’re
feeling
anxious
or
unhappy
about
a
task,
they
may
be
telling
you
that
you’re
trying
to
achieve
the
impossible.
And
adjust
your
targets
accordingly!
Perfectionists
are
often
likely
to
start
negative
self-talk.
If
you
catch
yourself
doing
this,
stop!
Try
using
thought
awareness
to
question
your
negative
thoughts
and
add
some
positivity!
Focus
on
the
bigger
picture.
Perfectionism
can
cause
“tunnel
vision”—when
you
focus
on
one
small
part
of
something
but
ignore
the
rest.
You
might,
for
instance,
focus
on
getting
a
minor
part
of
a
presentation
right,
like
the
special
effects,
instead
of
concentrating
on
the
meaning
that
you
are
trying
to
deliver.
Remember
to
keep
your
focus
on
the
bigger
picture.
____19____
Relax
and
go
with
the
flow.
The
pursuit
of
perfection
can
make
it
extremely
difficult
to
relax.
And
perfectionists
prefer
to
maintain
focus
and
to
stick
to
their
carefully
laid
plans.
But
relaxation
isn’t
just
necessary
for
a
healthy
life.
It
can
also
improve
your
productivity
and
well-being.
And
you’ll
be
better
at
keeping
perfectionism
under
control
if
you’re
feeling
rested,
clear-headed
and
happy.
____20____
Get
outside,
be
open
to
new
experiences
and
new
people,
make
use
of
relaxation
techniques,
and
recognize
when
you
need
to
switch
off.
Most
of
all,
don’t
allow
perfectionism
or
fear
of
failure
to
stop
you
from
experiencing
new
things.
Be
open
to
new
ways
of
thinking,
new
people,
and
new
experiences.
You
might
just
find
that
letting
go
actually
boosts
your
well-being,
your
relationships,
and
your
performance.
A.
Listen
to
your
emotions.
B.
So,
take
regular
breaks
at
work.
C.
Seek
advice
from
qualified
health
professionals.
D.
Your
failings
will
seem
less
significant
and
you’ll
reduce
the
urge
to
be
perfect.
E.
However,
when
perfectionism
gets
out
of
control,
it
can
do
more
harm
than
good.
F.
Perfectionists
often
set
objectives
so
high
that
there’s
little
hope
of
ever
achieving
them.
G.
If
you’re
afraid
to
make
mistakes,
it’s
difficult
to
generate
new
ideas
and
seize
opportunities.

【解析】
【分析】本文为说明文。在过去的十年里,社交媒体的使用以一种无人能猜到的方式增长。它把一些青少年变成了名人,一夜之间也可以让名人臭名昭著,因此社交媒体的主要特征是其波动性。社交媒体受欢迎是因为它能填补一些繁忙日程中的空白,让青少年获得归属感等,但社交媒体的快速发展也可能产生副作用,如出现假新闻,平台上共享的材料有可能错误等,还有很大的改进空间。
【4题详解】
猜测词义题。划线单词所在的句子“A
key
feature
of
social
media,
however,
is
its
volatility”
的下一句“Trends
come
and
go,
disappearing
almost
as
quickly
as
they
appeared.”
新潮流层出不穷,潮流的出现和消失的速度一样快。由此可推断出,社交媒体的运用作为一种潮流,社交媒体是波动的,变化的。分析选项A.
changeable易变的,可变的;B.
steady
稳定的;C.
promising有前途的;D.
violent暴力的,可知A项符合题意,故选A。
【5题详解】
细节理解题。第六段Liza
Koshy,
a
user
of
the
US
app
Musical.ly
who
has
over
2
million
followers,
said,
“The
sense
of
community
that
users
of
short
video
apps
get
is
another
appealing
feature.”
可知,莉莎·科希说短视频应用程序用户获得社区感是它的另一个吸引人的功能。可知莉莎·科希认为视频非常受欢迎是因为它能让用户有社区的归属感。故选C。
【6题详解】
推理判断题。根据最后一段“However,
the
quick
development
of
social
media
may
be
having
side
effects
too.
Fake
news
is
one
serious
problem
it
causes.

The
most

or
another.”然而,社交媒体的快速发展也可能产生副作用。假新闻是它引起的一大严重问题。在这些平台上共享的材料通常没有检查其准确性。最基本的内容可能是错误的,可能以这种或那种方式误导用户。由此判断出,社交媒体还有很大的改进空间。分析选项可知D项符合题意,故选D。
【7题详解】
推理判断题。根据本文中的“The
Telegraph
reported
that...”、“Singapore?based
analyst
at
FengHe
Fund
Management,
has
a
theory.”、“Liza
Koshy,
a
user
of
the
US

followers,
said,”等可知,作者引用别人的观点来说明社交媒体的益处。根据最后一段“However,
the
quick
development
of
social
media
may
be
having
side
effects
too.”可知,然而,社交媒体的快速发展也可能产生副作用。由此可推断出,作者对社交媒体的快速发展的态度是客观的。故选A。
【点睛】推理判断试题属于高层次阅读理解题。这种题型包括判断题和推理题。这两类题常常相互依存,推理是为了得出正确的判断,正确的判断又依赖于合乎逻辑的推理。如第3小题属于推理判断题。推理判断题。根据最后一段“However,

C
The
biggest
challenge
faced
by
travelers,
especially
those
who
like
to
have
a
backpacking
trip
is
how
to
ensure
a
steady
supply
of
clean
clothes.
Now,
thanks
to
a
great
invention
called
Scrubba
Wash
Pack,
that
worry
may
be
a
thing
of
the
past.
The
portable
washing
machine
was
invented
by
Ash
Newland
in
2010,
while
he
was
planning
to
climb
Mt.
Kilimanjaro.
Struck
by
the
limited
packing
space,
he
got
inspiration
from
traditional
washboards
to
create
a
bag
that
could
be
used
to
clean
clothes.
Then
he
quitted
his
career
as
a
lawyer
and
focused
on
perfecting
the
bag’s
design.
By
2012,
the
bag
was
ready
for
the
public.
It
weighed
only
180
grams
and
required
very
little
storage
space,
making
it
perfect
for
anyone
wishing
to
travel
light.
Not
surprisingly,
the
bag
which
was
worth
55
dollars
was
an
instant
hit
with
travelers,
university
students
and
even
passengers.
However,
Newland
was
not
satisfied.
He
still
saw
a
disadvantage
with
his
invention
—
dirty
clothes
had
to
be
carried
around
in
a
separate
bag!
The
recently
introduced
Scrubba
Wash
Pack
solves
that
problem.
In
order
to
make
the
pack
active,
dirty
clothes
are
placed
inside
the
bag
along
with
two
or
three
liters
of
water.
The
bag
is
then
shut
tightly
to
ensure
all
air
is
squeezed
out
and
the
colors
are
massaged
for
a
few
minutes.
After
a
quick
wash,
they
are
clean
and
ready
to
be
dried.
According
to
Newland,
the
pack
can
clean
anything
from
jeans
to
smelly
socks!
What’s
even
more
amazing
is
that
with
a
capacity
to
hold
13
liters
of
water,
it
can
be
used
to
wash
more
clothes
at
a
time.
The
best
part
is
that
the
99-dollar
pack
that
will
be
available
for
sale
later
this
year,
only
weighs
300
grams
and
is
completely
foldable,
making
it
easy
to
store
when
it’s
not
in
use.
With
the
Scrubba
Wash
Pack,
wandering
through
foreign
cities
searching
for
a
washing
shop,
or
paying
for
washing
machines
may
soon
be
a
thing
of
the
past.

will
replace
the

passage
mainly
about?

D
In
autumn
of
1975,
two
mothers
in
Lyme,
Connecticut,
were
desperate
for
answers
their
doctors
could
not
provide.
Their
families
and
others
in
the
Lyme
area
were
suffering
from
a
mysterious(神秘的)illness.
Two
doctors
from
Yale,
Allan
Steere
and
Stephen
Malawista,
began
an
investigation
that
would
result
in
a
groundbreaking
medical
discovery.
The
doctors
began
by
conducting
individual
examinations
of
each
patient.
They
found
patients
of
all
ages
were
suffering
from
a
set
of
symptoms
(症状)
rarely
observed
together.
Blood
samples
revealed
no
virus
that
offered
a
clue
about
the
cause.
However,
they
found
fruitful
information
in
their
interviews
with
patients:
one
quarter
of
them
recalled
a
skin
rash
(皮疹)
with
a
bull’s-eye
pattern
about
four
weeks
before
other
symptoms
arose.
Armed
with
this
new
clue,
the
Department
of
Health
worked
with
the
Yale
doctors,
conducting
surveys
to
learn
where
the
disease
was
most
widely
seen.
It
seemed
that
the
majority
of
patients
lived
in
heavily
wooded
areas,
who
spent
a
good
deal
of
time
outdoors,
gardening,
landscaping,
or
playing.
The
symptoms
were
nearly
always
experienced
for
the
first
time
during
summer.
Crucially,
some
recalled
having
been
bitten
by
a
tick
(蝉),
which
feeds
mostly
on
the
blood
of
mammals
and
birds.
By
1977
investigators
confirmed
that
the
deer
tick
was
responsible.
But
no
one
could
say
why
it
was
causing
the
illness
or
how
patients
could
be
treated.
In
1982,
a
scientist
named
Willy
Burgdorfer
discovered
a
specific
type
of
bacteria
(细菌),
carried
by
the
deer
tick,
which
was
causing
the
disease.
But
how
did
the
deer
tick
acquire
the
bacteria
in
the
first
place?
Finally,
scientists
determined
that
the
ticks
picked
up
the
bacteria
from
their
hosts.
As
its
name
suggests,
the
deer
tick
often
feeds
on
deer,
carriers
of
the
Lyme
disease
bacteria.
Scientists
concluded
that
the
bacteria
passed
from
wildlife
to
ticks
to
humans.
All
lived
closely
among
one
another
in
the
area.
How
could
a
disease
from
a
common
parasite(寄生虫)spring
up
so
suddenly?
Many
areas
of
the
northeast,
including
Lyme,
were
once
farmland.
The
farmland
was
replanted
with
trees.
After
the
forest
grew
in,
the
area
was
then
developed
with
houses.
Gradually,
neighborhoods
pushed
deeper
into
the
habitat
of
deer
ticks
and,
more
importantly,
the
wildlife
they
fed
upon.
As
humans
encountered
more
ticks,
they
became
more
likely
to
contract
the
disease.
One
of
the
remaining
mysteries
about
Lyme
disease
is
where
and
when
it
truly
began.
This
puzzle
may
never
be
solved.
Today,
Lyme
disease——if
caught
early—is
easily
treated
with
antibiotics,
thanks
to
the
hard
work
of
many
scientists,
doctors,
and
patients.

【解析】
【分析】这是一篇说明文。本文主要介绍了科学家们致力于研究一种神秘的疾病—莱姆病,最终找到这种疾病的来源、出现的原因及治疗方法。
【12题详解】
细节理解题。根据第二段“However,
they
found
fruitful
information
in
their
interviews
with
patients:
one
quarter
of
them
recalled
a
skin
rash
(皮疹)with
a
bull’s-eye
pattern
about
four
weeks
before
other
symptoms
arose.”(然而,他们在病人的采访中发现了大量有效的信息:四分之一的人回忆起一种牛眼样式的皮疹,大约在其他症状出现的四周之前。)可知,采访病人这种方法对Dr.
Steere
和Dr.
Malawista的研究起到了极大的帮助。故选A。
【13题详解】
细节理解题。根据第三段“Crucially,
some
recalled
having
been
bitten
by
a
tick
(蜱),
which
feeds
mostly
on
the
blood
of
mammals
and
birds.”(重要地是,一些人回忆起了被蜱咬过,这种蜱多数以哺乳动物和鸟类的血液为食。)可知,病人回忆起被蜱咬过这件事对医学发现非常重要。其他三项文中均未提及。故选B。
【14题详解】
词句猜测题。根据第五段内容:人们生活的区域与鹿蜱和鹿蜱赖以生存的野生动物越来越近。及关键句“As
humans
encountered
more
ticks,
they
became
more
likely
to
contract
the
disease.”(随着人们遇到更多的蜱,他们变得更有可能感染这种疾病。)可知,第五段在解释这种疾病是如何出现的。故推测划线词所在句子“How
could
a
disease
from
a
common
parasite(寄生虫)spring
up
so
suddenly?”意为一种来自寄生虫的疾病是怎样突然出现的呢?因此推测spring
up意为突然出现。Appear意为“出现”。故选C。
【15题详解】
主旨大意题。本文主要讲述了科学家们致力于研究一种神秘的疾病—莱姆病,最终找到这种疾病的来源、出现的原因及治疗方法。根据第一段的关键词“mysterious(神秘的)illness.”和最后一段的关键词“the
remaining
mysteries
about
Lyme
disease”可知,本文最合适的标题是一种神秘的疾病。故选C。
【点睛】词义猜测题要求考生在阅读过程中,根据选材、背景及上下文等线索,推测出生词(短语)意义。常用的方法是根据上下文内容进行句意的推测。如本文第三小题。通过阅读划线短语所在句子的下文可知,下文讲解了莱姆病出现在人类身上的原因,故推测划线词所在句子“How
could
a
disease
from
a
common
parasite(寄生虫)spring
up
so
suddenly?”意为一种来自寄生虫的疾病是怎样突然出现的呢?进而推测spring
up是“出现”的意思。最后选出正确答案。
第二节(共5小题;每小题2分,共10分)
根据短文内容,从短文后的七个选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
Have
you
ever
been
labeled
a
“perfectionist”?
Or
do
you
consider
yourself
to
be
one?
It’s
attractive
to
see
perfectionism
as
a
positive
quality—it
shows
that
we
pay
close
attention
to
detail
and
get
things
right!
And,
it
is
often
viewed
as
a
strength
that
helps
people
to
produce
high-quality
work.
____16____
It
can
damage
self-esteem,
cause
relationship
problems,
and,
in
extreme
cases,
it
may
even
lead
to
serious
health
problems.
If
you
think
that
you
have
a
problem
with
perfectionism,
the
following
strategies
can
help
you
to
lessen
its
negative
effects.
Set
realistic
goals.
____17____
Instead,
learn
to
think
about
your
most
important
life
and
career
goals.
Then,
break
them
down
into
smaller
steps.
Not
only
will
this
make
it
easier
to
reach
your
objectives,
but
you’ll
also
experience
the
thrill
of
achieving
them.
____18____
If
you’re
feeling
anxious
or
unhappy
about
a
task,
they
may
be
telling
you
that
you’re
trying
to
achieve
the
impossible.
And
adjust
your
targets
accordingly!
Perfectionists
are
often
likely
to
start
negative
self-talk.
If
you
catch
yourself
doing
this,
stop!
Try
using
thought
awareness
to
question
your
negative
thoughts
and
add
some
positivity!
Focus
on
the
bigger
picture.
Perfectionism
can
cause
“tunnel
vision”—when
you
focus
on
one
small
part
of
something
but
ignore
the
rest.
You
might,
for
instance,
focus
on
getting
a
minor
part
of
a
presentation
right,
like
the
special
effects,
instead
of
concentrating
on
the
meaning
that
you
are
trying
to
deliver.
Remember
to
keep
your
focus
on
the
bigger
picture.
____19____
Relax
and
go
with
the
flow.
The
pursuit
of
perfection
can
make
it
extremely
difficult
to
relax.
And
perfectionists
prefer
to
maintain
focus
and
to
stick
to
their
carefully
laid
plans.
But
relaxation
isn’t
just
necessary
for
a
healthy
life.
It
can
also
improve
your
productivity
and
well-being.
And
you’ll
be
better
at
keeping
perfectionism
under
control
if
you’re
feeling
rested,
clear-headed
and
happy.
____20____
Get
outside,
be
open
to
new
experiences
and
new
people,
make
use
of
relaxation
techniques,
and
recognize
when
you
need
to
switch
off.
Most
of
all,
don’t
allow
perfectionism
or
fear
of
failure
to
stop
you
from
experiencing
new
things.
Be
open
to
new
ways
of
thinking,
new
people,
and
new
experiences.
You
might
just
find
that
letting
go
actually
boosts
your
well-being,
your
relationships,
and
your
performance.
A.
Listen
to
your
emotions.
B.
So,
take
regular
breaks
at
work.
C.
Seek
advice
from
qualified
health
professionals.
D.
Your
failings
will
seem
less
significant
and
you’ll
reduce
the
urge
to
be
perfect.
E.
However,
when
perfectionism
gets
out
of
control,
it
can
do
more
harm
than
good.
F.
Perfectionists
often
set
objectives
so
high
that
there’s
little
hope
of
ever
achieving
them.
G.
If
you’re
afraid
to
make
mistakes,
it’s
difficult
to
generate
new
ideas
and
seize
opportunities.

problems,
and,
in
extreme
cases,
it
may
even
lead
to
serious
health
problems.
(它会损害自尊,引起人际关系问题,在极端情况下,甚至可能导致严重的健康问题。)”可知,下文说的是完美主义面临的问题。E项意为“然而,当完美主义失去控制时,弊大于利。”选项内容能够引起下文,且与上文介绍的完美主义的优点形成转折关系。故选E。
【17题详解】
根据段落主旨句“Set
realistic
goals.(设定现实的目标。)”可知,本段讲述的是要想减少完美主义的负面影响,可以通过设定现实的目标。根据下文“Instead,
learn
to
think
about
your
most
important
life
and
career
goals.
(相反,学会思考你最重要的人生和职业目标。)”可知,下文说的是如何设定现实的目标。F项意为“完美主义者往往把目标定得太高,以至于实现目标的希望渺茫。”选项内容符合段落主旨,说出了完美主义者在设定目标时出现的问题,下文针对这个问题给出了解决方法。故选F。
【18题详解】
空格处为段落主旨句。根据下文“If
you’re
feeling
anxious
or
unhappy
about
a
task,
they
may
be
telling
you
that
you’re
trying
to
achieve
the
impossible.
And
adjust
your
targets
accordingly!
(如果你对一项任务感到焦虑或不高兴,他们可能会告诉你,你正试图实现不可能的目标。在这种情况下要调整你的目标!)”可知,本段介绍了我们情绪的变化会告诉我们所制定的目标是否合理。A项意为“倾听你的情绪。”选项内容能够概括段落主旨,告诉我们倾听情绪的重要性,下文中的“anxious
or
unhappy”是对选项中的“emotions”的举例。故选A。
【19题详解】
根据上文“Perfectionism
can
cause
“tunnel
vision”—when
you
focus
on
one
small
part
of
something
but
ignore
the
rest.
(完美主义会导致“视野狭隘”——当你专注于某件事的一小部分时,却忽略了其余的部分。)”和“Remember
to
keep
your
focus
on
the
bigger
picture.
(记住要把注意力放在大局上。)”可知,本段告诉我们要把注意力放在大局上,避免完美主义导致的“视野狭隘”。D项意为“你的失败会显得不那么重要,你会减少追求完美的冲动。”选项内容能够承接上文,如果我们能够做到把注意力放在大局上,就会减少追求完美的冲动。故选D。
【20题详解】
根据上文“But
relaxation
isn’t
just
necessary
for
a
healthy
life.
It
can
also
improve
your
productivity
and
well-being.
And
you’ll
be
better
at
keeping
perfectionism
under
control
if
you’re
feeling
rested,
clear-headed
and
happy.
(但放松不仅仅是健康生活所必需的。它还可以提高你的工作效率和健康。如果你感到精神振作、头脑清醒和快乐,你会更好地控制完美主义。)”可知,本段告诉我们放松有助于提高工作效率,可以让你更好地控制完美主义。B项意为“所以,在工作中定时休息。”选项内容与上文为因果关系,正因为放松有助于提高工作效率,所以应该在工作中定时休息。故选B。

friends”可知数量大于一应用复数。故achievement改为achievements。
