A Trip on “The True North”
Teaching aims
1. Knowledge aim:
Get the students to know information about Canada.
2. Ability:
(1)Help the students to talk out what they know about Canada.
(2) Improve the students’ reading ability.

Develop the students’ sense of the basic information about Canada.

Step I. Leading-in
Do you like trvaelling? If you have a chance to go abroad, which country would you like to go? Why?
2. Show a short video to the students.
3. Canada is a multicultural country. It is the second largest country in the world. Ask the students to have a quiz and find out how much they know about Canada.
Step II. Reading
Task 1. Fast reading
The passage can be divided into three parts. Please read it in two minutes and then try to match the main idea of each part after reading.
