1. This lesson is in the important position of the teaching material. The Ss have learned SectionA and SectionB, they knew some language points of Topic3 .
3. Such a section is related to our daily life, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their spoken English.
2. SectionC is the third section of Topic3 . So if the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the Ss understand this topic better.
Analysis of the Teaching Material
(教材分析)
4.This section is based on Section A and Section B. This shows the arrangement of teaching material is from easiness to difficulty. This arrangement matches with the cognitive rules and the cognitive levels of the Ss.

5.The usages of the structure “make +object+adj./v” appears again in this Section. We can learn more about the usages of the structure to grasp it. At the same time, we can also review the structure “linking verb+adj.” which we leant in Topic 1, Unit 5.
After three-term studying, Ss have formed certain self-study abilities.
2. The students are lack of reading skills .
3. The students don’t have much vocabularies.
4. The students seldom communicate in English. They are not confident.

1.Teacher shows three pictures and let Ss make sentences with the structure “make+object+adj./v.”
1.The boss makes the worker work for 16 hours a day.
2. The teachers made him headmaster.
3. The speech makes them excited. /The good news makes him excited.
2.Teacher let Ss discuss when they are in the following situations, how do they feel
①your bike doesn’t work.
②you can’t find your shirts.
③if you are ill.

Purpose of my design:
I think it’s important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss and at the same time it’s necessary to provide situations to review learned knowledge and the new lesson. Try to ask the Ss to express their feelings in the class , it will be helpful for them to understand the text .
Step2 Lead in
Teacher says to Ss: As we all know, many things can affect our feelings, now please have a think what else can affect our feelings. After a little while, teacher shows the first picture to lead into the new lesson.
Task1. Present a picture with a passage. Let Ss find out the thing that affects people’s moods in the girl’s opinion and underline the new words and phrases. And then teacher explains them.

I think the moon can affect my moods. Sometimes it make me feel happy. Sometimes it makes me feel sad, especially when the full moon is hanging in the sky on Mid-autumn Festival. The moon is so round and bright. But I can’t get together with my family. I feel very lonely, and my eyes fill with tears.

My understanding of this lesson
As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in the middle school is to cultivate students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I mainly use “Communicative” teaching method, “Audio-visual” teaching method and “Task-based” teaching method.
That is to say, I’ll let the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the text . I’ll give the Ss some tasks, such as completing a form after reading, having a competition, etc. Try to encourage the students to take part in class activities .Use different methods to develop the Ss’ thoughts and improve their abilities .
