[教学材料]:人教版新起点《小学英语》6年级上册1单元第二课时
[课型特点]:新课;英语听说课
[授课班级]:6年级 班
[学情分析]:本课的教学对象是6年级 班的学生。他们活泼、好动,表现欲强,乐于参与形式多样的教学活动。经过六年的学习,已经具备一定的英语表达能力。本课内容是在第一课时的基础上学习表达城市地理位置的词汇和该城市以什么闻名的功能句,预计理解上不会太难。
[教学目标]
语言能力目标:
通过听、说、读、写等形式的语言活动,帮助学生复习Lesson1所学重点词汇和短语,听懂、会说map,north,south,east,west这五个单词并尝试借助拼读规律记忆单词掌握。
2.引导学生掌握询问某个城市的地理位置,以及该城市以什么闻名的功能句:Where is...? What’s ... famous for?以及相应答语:It's in the... of It’s famous for...,就所学词汇与功能句与他人展开对话交流。
3.引导学生仿照文本,按相应的提示或要求写出意义连贯的句子。
思维品质目标:
能够在教师帮助下,借助图片、音频等解码文本信息,积极进行推测、归纳、总结等思维活动,形成自己的观点。
学习能力目标:
1.引导学生积极参与课堂活动和游戏,并与同伴合作完成活动或游戏。
2.引导学生在活动中认真倾听同学发言,并尝试表达自己的观点。
文化品格目标:
通过了解祖国各地的人文地理,增强对祖国的热爱。
[教学重难点]: 引导学生初步学会在恰当的情境中运用所学功能句,并能按要求在所提供的语境中书写几个有效句子。掌握表达城市地理位置的词汇,

Step 1 Greeting and free talk about the summer vacation.
T:Hello, boys and girls. I’m Miss Hou. Today we are going to learn Unit 1 In China Lesson 2. It’s on Page 4 and 5.
T: First, Let’s talk about our summer vacation.Where did you go? What did you do? How was your summer vacation?
For me, I went to Qingcheng Mountain. I climbed on the mountain and drifted on the river. It was great.
How about your summer vacation? Please share with us. Ss:Hello, Miss Hou.
Ss listen to T.

Step 2 Part A: Listen and guess. T: And do you know where did Andy go on summer vacation? Now Let’s see our friend Andy’s summer vacation. Look, Andy and Yaoyao are talking about some places. Please guess where did Andy go and what did he do. You can say like this.

T: Maybe Andy went to Harbin on his summer vacation. He went skiing.
He went to Hangzhou on his summer vacation. He visited the West Lake. Ss:Andy went to Hangzhou on his summer vacation. He visited the West Lake.

从谈论孩子们的暑期生活到Andy 的暑期生活,一步一步打开学生的思路,拓宽学生的思维。同时有效地回顾旧知,使用第一课时所学句型和词组激活旧知,让他们迅速进入学习英语的状态之中。

Step 3 Listen and check 1.(1)T: Now, Let’s listen and check.
T plays the audio.
T: In this dialogue, Andy says I went to Xining with my parents. So we know Andy went to Xining on his summer vacation.
And Yaoyao asks what’s Xining famous for. Andy says it’s famous for temples. So we know probably Andy visited the temples.

Ss listen and fill in the blanks.

通过思维导图的方式微学术梳理出谈论出行计划的的要点,帮助学生搭建思维框架,为后面的输出做好语言结构的准备。

Step5 Listen and repeat. 1.T: Let’s listen and repeat.
2.T play the audios sentence by sentence and lead Ss to repeat the sentences. Ss listen and repeat sentence by sentence. 逐句跟读培养学生的语音语调语感,促进学生解读、理解文本。
Step6 Let’s talk.
T: In this dialogue, we know Xining is in the west of China. How about other cities? Let’s see. This is the map of China. This is north, west, south and east.
First, Let’s look at Harbin. Harbin is in the northeast of China.
What about Beijing? Beijing is in the north of China.
Here. Suzhou and Hangzhou are in the east of China.
Guangzhou and Sanya are in the south of China. Xining and Lhasa are in the west of China.
2.(1)T: Now, we know where are the cities. Do you know what are they famous for? Let’s talk about it.
(2)T: There are seven cities, Harbin, Beijing, Lasha, Xi’an, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Sanya, Hangzhou and Xining. Now, Let’s see the video and find out how to make the dialogue.
(3)T plays the video.
T: Now Let’s try together. Look at this map. Let’s try Lasha.
The girl asks, “Where is _____(Lasha)?”
The boy answers,”It's in the _____(west) of China.”
The girls asks,”What's it famous for?”
The boy answers,”It's famous for ______(the Potala Palace).”

4.T: Let’s talk about other cities. Ss:Harbin is in the northeast of China.
Ss:Beijing is in the north of China.
Ss:Suzhou and Hangzhou are in the east of China.
Ss:Guangzhou and Sanya are in the south of China. Ss: Xining and Lhasa are in the west of China.
Ss watch the video and think about how to make the dialogue.
Ss fill in the blanks.
Ss use the 4 sentences to talk about other cities. 引导学生学会读图获取重要信息源,感知对话情景,导入话题。培养学生通过读图,预测对话内容,引导学生细致观察图片,启迪学生思维。呈现方位名词,培养学生的方位感知能力,图文解码,以图带文,为后期对话文本的出现做铺垫。

学生可回答书上列举的景点,也可根据自己的经历有不同的回答,鼓励学生多与实际做联系,培养学生的发散性思维。
