answer
(根据短文内容,选择最恰当的答案)
Walking
down
the
street,
you
notice
the
plain,
boring
walls
on
either
side.
As
you
continue
walking,
the
wall
begins
to
look
more
colorful,
and
feels
more
alive.
A
black
line
of
paint
curves
(弯曲而行)
on
the
wall,
suddenly
turning
into
a
colorful
smiling
cat

the
line
was
the
tail.
This
is
a
good
example
of
graffiti
art.
Graffiti
art
is
drawings
and
writings
that
have
been
painted
onto
walls,
usually
in
public
spaces.
Because
it’s
simple
to
do,
graffiti
has
been
around
for
centuries,
with
drawings
being
found
on
ancient
buildings.
But
modern
graffiti
was
born
out
of
the
1980s
hip-hop
culture,
mainly
in
New
York.
With
its
growth
throughout
the
years,
it
has
now
entered
popular
culture.
Graffiti
can
be
seen
in
galleries
(画廊)
around
the
world,
next
to
other
artworks.
Modern
graffiti
has
young
roots,
and
so
attracts
young
artists
and
fans.
However,
there
are
laws
on
graffiti
in
most
countries.
You
must
have
permission
from
the
owner
of
the
wall
before
painting
on
it.
If
not,
you
may
face
a
big
fine.
Instead,
some
cities
have
graffiti
walls,
or
zones,
where
people
can
express
their
artistic
vision
freely.
Berlin,
Germany,
is
home
to
a
lot
of
graffiti.
It’s
often
called
the
graffiti
capital
of
the
world.
Writings
and
drawings
decorate
the
old
city
wall
like
an
outdoor
art
gallery.
1.
The

“graffiti”
probably

that
__________.
A.

bring
out
graffiti
B.
graffiti
makes
walls
colorful
and
alive
C.
graffiti
is
all
about
smiling
cats
D.
graffiti
makes
the
city
dirtier
than
before
3.
Graffiti
can
be
seen
in
galleries
around
the

which
means

grown
very
much

Read
the
passage
and
answer
the
following
questions.
(根据短文回答下列问题)
One
morning,
a
blind
boy
sat
on
the
steps
of
a
building
with
a
hat
by
his
feet.
He
held
up
a
sign
which
said:
“I’m
blind,
please
help
me.”
There
were
only
a
few
coins
in
the
hat.
A
man
was
walking
by.
He
took
out
a
few
coins
from
his
pocket
and
dropped
them
into
the
hat.
He
then
took
the
sign,
turned
it
around,
and
wrote
some
words
on
it.
He
put
the
sign
back
so
that
everyone
who
walked
by
could
see
the
words.
Soon
the
hat
began
to
fill
up.
A
lot
more
people
were
giving
money
to
the
blind
boy.
That
afternoon
the
man
who
had
changed
the
sign
came
to
see
how
thing
were.
The
boy
recognized
his
footsteps
and
asked,
“Are
you
the
one
who
changed
my
sign
in
the
morning?
What
did
you
write?”
The
man
said:
“I
only
wrote
the
truth,
I
said
what
you
said,
but
in
the
different
way.”
What
he
had
written
was,
“Today
is
a
beautiful
day,
but
I
can’t
see
it.”
Do
you
think
the
first
sign
and
the
second
sign
were
saying
the
same
thing?
Of
course
both
signs
told
people
the
boy
was
blind.
But
the
first
sign
simply
told
people
to
help
by
putting
some
money
in
the
hat.
The
second
sign
told
people
that
they
were
able
to
enjoy
the
beauty
of
the
day,
but
the
boy
could
not
enjoy
it
because
he
was
blind.
The
first
sign
simply
said
the
boy
was
blind.
The
second
sign
told
people
they
were
so
lucky
that
they
were
not
blind.
There
are
at
least
two
lessons
we
can
learn
from
the
story.
The
first
is:
Treasure
(珍惜)
What
you
have.
Someone
else
has
less.
Try
your
best
to
help
those
who
need
your
help.
The
second
is:
Be
creative.
Think
differently.
There
is
always
a
better
way!
1.

3.
What

to
the
boy’s
sign?
4.
What
happened
to
the
boy’s
hat
soon?
5.
How
did
the
man
write
the
sign?
6.
Which
sign
do

7.W:
I
will
attend
a
meeting
in
Beijing
in
November.
M:
Great!
I
went
there
last
September
and
didn’t
leave
until
late
December.
I
had
a
good
time
there.
Q:
When
will
the
woman
go
to
Beijing?
8.
W:
Please
turn
on
the
radio,
John.
The
music
program
is
on.
M:
I’d
rather
listen
to
the
international
news
if
you
don’t
mind.
W:
All
right.
Q:
What
does
John
want
to
do?
9.W:
Has
the
train
left?
M:
No,
it’s
leaving
in
fifteen
minutes.
And
it’s
three
forty-five
now.
Q:
What
time
is
the
train
leaving?
10.
W:
What
do
you
plan
to
do
this
weekend?
Go
out
for
a
trip
or
play
football?
M:
Neither.
I
think
I’ll
just
have
a
relaxing
weekend
at
home.
W:
There
will
be
an
exciting
film
in
Xinhua
Cinema.
I’m
going
to
see
it.
Q:
What
does
the
woman
plan
to
do
this
weekend?
11.
W:
We
are
going
to
Changfeng
Park
this
afternoon.
How
can
we
get
there?
M:
Shall
we
take
a
bus
or
a
taxi?
W:
I
think
we’d
better
go
by
underground.
It’s
quicker
and
cheaper.
Q:
How
will
they
go
to
Changfeng
Park?
12.
W:
I’d
like
to
be
an
English
teacher.
What
about
you,
George?
M:
I
don’t
think
I’ll
be
an
English
teacher.
I’m
not
good
at
English.
W:
Which
subject
are
you
good
at?
M:
My
maths
and
physics
are
much
better
than
English.
So
I’ll
possibly
be
an
engineer.
Q:
What
does
the
boy
want
to
be
when
he
grows
up?
13.W:
Excuse
me,
Manager.
I
want
to
complain
about
these
apples.
M:
What’s
the
problem?
W:
When
I
took
off
the
plastic,
I
found
two
of
them
were
rotten.
Look!
M:
Oh,
I’m
very
sorry
about
that.
Can
you
show
me
your
receipt?
Q:
Where
does
the
dialogue
probably
take
place?
14.
M:
Hi,
Kitty.
I
have
sent
you
an
e-mail.
Have
you
got
it?
W:
Sorry,
I
haven’t.
I
haven’t
checked
my
e-mail
today.
M:
Why
not?
W:
There
is
something
wrong
with
my
computer.
Q:
Why
hasn’t
Kitty
received
the
e-mail?
III.
It
was
a
winter
morning,
just
a
couple
of
weeks
before
Christmas.
While
most
people
were
warming
up
their
cars,
Trevor,
my
husband,
had
to
get
up
early
to
ride
his
bike
four
kilometers
away
from
home
to
work.
On
arrival,
he
parked
his
bike
outside
the
back
door
as
he
usually
does.
After
10
hours
of
labor,
he
returned
to
find
his
bike
gone.
It
was
so
terrible
that
someone
stole
our
bike
that
we
wrote
to
the
newspaper
and
told
them
our
story.
Shortly
after
that,
several
people
in
our
area
offered
to
help.
One
wonderful
stranger
even
bought
a
new
bike
and
then
called
my
husband
to
pick
it
up.
It
really
is
an
honor
that
a
complete
stranger
would
help
someone
they
have
never
met
before.
People
say
that
a
smile
can
be
passed
from
one
person
to
another,
but
acts
of
kindness
from
strangers
are
even
more
so.
This
experience
has
had
a
good
effect
in
our
lives
and
it
has
influenced
us
to
be
more
mindful.
We
can
share
something
with
others.
No
matter
how
big
or
how
small,
all
act
of
kindness
shows
that
someone
cares.
And
the
results
can
be
never
ending.
IV.
Before
I
started
school,
people
felt
that
I
was
not
going
to
be
successful.
At
the
age
of
four
I
started
speech
lessons
because
basically
I
could
not
speak
well
enough
for
anyone
to
understand
me.
The
story
goes
downhill
from
here.
The
first
grade
was
the
worst.
I
not
only
had
difficulty
speaking,
but
also
felt
nervous
because
I
was
expected
to
learn
to
read
and
I
just
couldn’t
do
it.
The
second
grade
was
not
much
better.
I
still
couldn’t
read
very
well.
It
was
in
the
third
grade
that
a
new
school
was
built
close
to
my
home.
I
remember
going
there
with
my
parents
and
helping
to
get
the
school
ready
so
that
we
could
move
to
the
new
one.
However,
things
were
still
not
much
better
for
me
at
school
and
didn’t
get
better
for
the
next
two
years.
Things
began
to
change
in
the
fifth
grade.
Mrs.
Wakefield
was
my
teacher,
and
if
ever
there
was
a
teacher
that
deserved
a
gold
star,
it
was
her.
She
didn’t
make
me
feel
I
was
not
as
good
as
the
others.
Instead,
she
did
her
best
to
let
me
know
that
I
could
be
whatever
I
wanted
to
be.
And
that
is
just
what
I
did.
Because
of
Mrs.
Wakefield,
I’ve
become
a
teacher
myself.
For
the
past
22
years,
I
have
been
a
fifth
grade
teacher.
I
always
encourage
my
students
when
they
meet
with
difficulties
in
their
lives.
I
have
won
many
awards
up
to
now,
such
as
Teacher
of
the
Year.
I
think
the
award
belongs
to
one
fifth
grade
teacher
who
believed
in
me
and
helped
me
to
be
all
that
I
could
be.
