第二部分
阅读理解(共两节,满分35分)
第一节(共10小题;每小题2.5分,满分25分)
阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中,选出最佳选项。在答题纸上将该项涂黑。
A
I'm
interested
in
the
Renaissance,
so
I
like
visiting
ancient
Italian
cities.
Ferrara
is
called
City
of
the
Renaissance.
When
I
learned
about
this
city
on
the
Internet,
I
decided
to
pay
a
visit
to
it.
The
city
has
a
certain
charm
and
calmness,
but
I
find
it
isn't
as
great
as
other
Italian
cities
like
Verona,
let
alone
Venice
or
Rome.
The
Michelin
Green
Guide
gives
it
two
stars,
which
is
right.
I
first
visited
the
city
centre.
The
Cathedral
and
Castello
Estense
are
at
the
heart
of
the
city.
Both
have
striking
appearances.
I
visited
the
Cathedral
first.
Castello
Estense
is
also
worth
visiting,
which
owns
its
name
to
the
powerful
family
Este
family.
It
was
built
with
bricks
and
surrounded
by
a
moat(护城河).
At
the
lower
levels,
the
history
of
the
city
and
the
Este
family
are
told
through
displays,
and
in
another
part
the
ceilings
are
shown
through
mirrors
on
the
ground.
In
the
north,
we
can
appreciate
the
Renaissance
extension
of
the
town,
with
straight
streets
and
monumental
houses.
The
famous
Palazzo
dei
Diamanti
lies
here.
When
I
was
visiting
it,
it
started
to
rain,
so
after
taking
a
few
photos
quickly,
I
cut
my
visit
there
short.
It
had
been
raining
for
a
few
days.
When
the
rain
ceased,
I
went
to
visit
the
historical
centre
and
the
Renaissance
buildings.
After
leaving
there,
I
visited
several
other
interesting
places
such
as
palaces,
churches
and
the
narrow
streets
of
the
downtown.
After
four
hours
in
Ferrara
I
left
by
train
to
Mantua.
There
I
had
much
better
time.
21.
Why
did
the
author
pay
a
visit
to
Ferrara?
A.
Because
it
is
related
to
the
Renaissance.
B.
Because
it
is
full
of
charm
and
calmness.
C.
Because
it
is
a
very
famous
city
in
Europe.
D.
Because
it
is
strongly
recommended
by
a
website.
22.
What
did
the
author
think
of
The
Michelin
Green
Guide's
comment
on
Ferrara?
A.
Unbelievable.
B.
Reasonable.
C.
Unacceptable.
D.
Ridiculous.
23.
What
can
we
infer
from
the
text?
A.
The
writer
thought
Ferrara
was
as
great
as
Venice.
B.
The
writer
visited
Palazzo
dei
Diamanti
for
a
long
time.
C
The
writer
was
much
more
satisfied
with
the
tour
in
Mantua
than
in
Ferrara.
D.
The
writer
was
disappointed
with
the
visit
to
the
Cathedral
and
Castello
Estense.
B
Calling
all
tea
lovers:
the
next
time
you
reach
for
a
cup
of
tea,
try
green
tea—if
you
want
to
lengthen
your
life.
That’s
according
to
a
new
study
recently
concluded
by
researchers
with
the
Chinese
Academy
of
Medical
Sciences.
Researchers
found
“habitual”
tea
drinkers—whom
they
defined
as
drinking
tea
at
least
three
or
more
times
a
week—had
longer
and
healthier
lives
than
those
who
did
not
drink
tea
as
regularly.
But
these
benefits
were
only
seen
in
those
who
drank
green
tea,
not
black
tea.
To
come
to
this
conclusion,
researchers
analyzed
100,902
Chinese
participants
with
no
history
of
heart
attack
or
cancer.
They
were
divided
into
two
groups,
those
who
drank
tea
three
or
more
times
a
week,
and
those
who
drank
tea
less
than
three
times
a
week.
Participants
were
then
followed-up
after
seven
years.
In
the
end,
the
researchers
found
that
regular
tea
drinkers
had
a
20
percent
lower
risk
of
suffering
from
heart
disease,
and
a
22
percent
lower
risk
of
dying
from
heart
disease
than
those
who
never
or
seldom
drank
tea.
Then,
to
look
at
the
“potential
influence
of
changes
in
tea
drinking
behavior,”
researchers
about
eight
years
later
took
a
part
of
study
participants—14,081
people—and
assessed
them
after
five
years.
Finally,
they
found
those
who
continued
to
drink
tea
three
or
more
times
a
week
had
a
56
percent
lower
risk
of
deadly
heart
disease.
But
why
is
green
tea
more
beneficial
than
black?
Senior
author
Dr.
Dongfeng
Gu
said
that
green
tea
is
rich
in
polyphenols(多酚),
as
a
previous
study
shows,
which,
“protect
against
cardiovascular(心血管的)
disease
and
its
risk
factors.”
Black
tea,
on
the
other
hand,
is
fermented(发酵),
during
which
process
“polyphenols
may
lose
their
antioxidant
effects.”
“In
our
study
population,
49%
of
habitual
tea
drinkers
consumed
green
tea
most
frequently,
while
only
8%
preferred
black
tea,”
he
said.
“The
small
percentage
of
habitual
black
tea
drinkers
might
make
it
more
difficult
to
observe
strong
associations,
but
our
findings
hint
at
a
differential
effect
between
tea
types.”

25.

A.

26.
Which
of
the
following
is
the
best
title
for
the

Although
being
famous
might
sound
like
a
dream
come
true,
today's
stars,
feeling
like
zoo
animals,
face
pressures
that
few
of
us
can
imagine.
They
are
at
the
center
of
much
of
the
world's
attention.
Paparazzi
(狗仔队)
camp
outside
their
homes,
cameras
ready.
Tabloids
(小报)
publish
thrilling
stories
about
their
personal
lives.
Just
imagine
not
being
able
to
do
anything
without
being
photographed
or
interrupted
for
a
signature.
According
to
psychologist
Christina
Villareal,
celebrities—famous
people—worry
constantly
about
their
public
appearance.
Eventually,
they
start
to
lose
track
of
who
they
really
are,
seeing
themselves
the
way
their
fans
imagine
them,
not
as
the
people
they
were
before
everyone
knew
their
names.
“Over
time,”
Villareal
says,
“they
feel
separated
and
alone.”
The
phenomenon
of
tracking
celebrities
has
been
around
for
ages.
In
the
4th
century
B.C.,
painters
followed
Alexander
the
Great
into
battle,
hoping
to
picture
his
victories
for
his
admirers.
When
Charles
Dickens
visited
America
in
the
19th
century,
his
sold-out
readings
attracted
thousands
of
fans,
leading
him
to
complain
(抱怨)
about
his
lack
of
privacy.
Tabloids
of
the
1920s
and
1930s
ran
articles
about
film-stars
in
much
the
same
way
that
modern
tabloids
and
websites
do.
Being
a
public
figure
today,
however,
is
a
lot
more
difficult
than
it
used
to
be.
Superstars
cannot
move
about
without
worrying
about
photographers
with
modern
cameras.
When
they
say
something
silly
or
do
something
ridiculous,
there
is
always
the
Internet
to
spread
the
news
in
minutes
and
keep
their
"story"
alive
forever.
If
fame
is
so
troublesome,
why
aren't
all
celebrities
running
away
from
it?
The
answer
is
there
are
still
ways
to
deal
with
it.
Some
stars
stay
calm
by
surrounding
themselves
with
trusted
friends
and
family
or
by
escaping
to
remote
places
away
from
big
cities.
They
focus
not
on
how
famous
they
are
but
on
what
they
love
to
do
or
whatever
made
them
famous
in
the
first
place.
Sometimes
a
few
celebrities
can
get
a
little
justice.
Still,
even
stars
who
enjoy
full
justice
often
complain
about
how
hard
their
lives
are.
They
are
tired
of
being
famous
already.
27.
It
can
be
learned
from
the
passage
that
stars
today________.
A.
are
often
misunderstood
by
the
public
B.
can
no
longer
have
their
privacy
protected
C.
spend
too
much
on
their
public
appearance
D.
care
little
about
how
they
have
come
into
fame
28.
What
is
the
main
idea
of
Paragraph
3?
A.
Well-known
actors
arc
usually
targets
of
tabloids.
B.
Works
of
popular
writers
often
have
a
lot
of
readers.
C.
Great
heroes
of
the
past
were
generally
admired.
D.
The
problem
faced
by
celebrities
has
a
long
history.
29.
What
makes
it
much
harder
to
be
a
celebrity
today?
A.
Huge
population
of
fans.
B.
Availability
of
modern
media.
C.
Lack
of
favorable
chances.
D.
Inadequate
social
recognition.
30.
What
is
the
author's
attitude
toward
modern
celebrity?
A.
Sympathetic.
B.
Skeptical.
C.
Disapproving.

第二节(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)
根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
How
to
deal
with
emotional
eating
Emotional
eating
is
when
people
use
food
as
a
way
to
deal
with
feelings
instead
of
to
satisfy
hunger.
When
done
a
lot,
especially
without
realizing
it,
emotional
eating
can
affect
weight,
health
and
overall
well-being.
____31____
Find
proper
ways
to
handle
the
situations
and
feelings
that
make
you
turn
to
food.
For
example,
do
you
come
home
from
school
each
day
and
automatically
head
to
the
kitchen?
Stop
and
ask
yourself,
“Am
I
really
hungry?
Is
my
stomach
growling?
Am
I
having
difficulty
concentrating?”
____32____
Always
keep
that
in
mind.
____33____
One
of
the
best
ways
to
keep
track
is
with
a
mood
and
food
journal.
Write
down
what
you
ate,
how
much,
and
how
you
felt
as
you
ate(e.g.
bored,
happy,
worried,
sad,
mad)and
whether
you
were
really
hungry
or
just
eating
for
comfort.
Through
journaling,
you
will
start
to
see
patterns
emerging
between
what
you
feel
and
what
you
eat.
Find
help,
even
when
we
understand
what's
going
on.
It's
not
easy,
especially
when
we
understand
that
emotional
eating
has
already
led
to
weight
and
self-esteem
issues.
So
don't
go
it
alone
when
you
don't
have
to.
____34____
For
example,
fitness
experts
can
get
your
body's
feel-good
chemicals
firing
through
exercise
instead
of
food.
Talk
to
your
doctor
if
worried
about
eating
habit.
____35____
They
can
help
you
reach
your
weight-loss
goals
and
put
you
in
touch
with
professionals.
A.
Thus
keeping
more
time
to
relax.
B.
So
let's
find
some
ways
to
face
it.
C.
You
can
take
advantage
of
expert
help.
D.
Write
down
the
emotions
that
cause
you
eating.
E.
If
you
have
more
chances
to
eat,
just
resist
the
food
you
like.
F.
If
these
signs
point
to
hunger,
choose
something
light
and
healthy.
G.
They
can
professionally
help
you
get
a
healthier
relationship
with
food.

第二节概要写作(满分25分)
67.
阅读下面短文,根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。
Most
children
are
taught
the
virtue
of
honesty
from
fairy
tales
and
other
stories.
The
story
of
Pinocchio,
who
begins
life
as
a
puppet,
teaches
the
importance
of
telling
the
truth.
In
the
United
States,
young
children
learn
the
tale
of
young
George
Washington,
who
finally
admits
to
his
father
that
he
cuts
down
a
cherry
tree.
This
kind
of
story
shows
children
that
"honesty
is
the
best
policy".
Still,
if
this
is
the
case,
then
why
so
many
people
lie?
The
fact
is
that
human
being
lies
for
many
reasons.
One
reason
for
lying
has
to
do
with
minimizing
a
mistake.
While
it
is
true
that
everyone
makes
a
careless
mistake
from
time
to
time,
some
people
don't
have
the
courage
to
admit
their
errors
because
they
fear
blame.
For
example,
students
might
lie
to
their
teachers
about
unfinished
homework.
They
might
say
that
they
left
the
work
at
home
when,
in
fact,
they
didn't
do
the
work
at
all.
These
students
do
not
want
to
seem
irresponsible,
so
they
make
up
an
excuse-a
lie
to
save
face.
If
a
company
decides
to
have
a
weekend
meeting,
one
of
the
managers
might
not
feel
like
attending.
She
may
call
her
boss
and
gives
excuse:
"I've
been
fighting
off
a
cold
all
week,
and
I
truly
can't
risk
getting
the
others
sick.
I'll
be
sure
to
get
all
of
the
notes
on
Monday."
When
individuals
do
not
want
to
admit
the
truth
and
then
face
the
consequences,
they
use
lies
to
avoid
difficulties.
A
somewhat
different
reason
for
lying
has
to
do
with
self-protection.
Parents,
particularly
those
with
small
children,
may
teach
their
children
to
use
this
type
of
"protective"
lie
in
certain
circumstances.
What
should
children
do
if
a
stranger
calls
while
the
parents
are
out?
Many
parents
teach
their
children
to
explain
that
mom
and
dad
are
too
busy
to
come
to
the
phone
at
that
time.
In
this
situation,
protective
lying
can
prevent
harm
or
disaster.

I

five

There

it

Most

I

A

In

The

the
Renaissance,
so
I
like
visiting
ancient
Italian
cities.
Ferrara
is
called
City
of
the
Renaissance.
When
I
learned
about
this
city
on
the
Internet,
I
decided
to
pay
a
visit
to
it.
The
city
has
a
certain
charm
and
calmness,
but
I
find
it
isn't
as
great
as
other
Italian
cities
like
Verona,
let

Venice
or
Rome.
The
Michelin

right.
I

visited
the
city
centre.
The
Cathedral
and
Castello
Estense
are
at
the
heart
of
the
city.
Both
have
striking
appearances.
I
visited
the
Cathedral
first.
Castello
Estense
is
also
worth
visiting,
which
owns
its
name
to
the
powerful
family
Este
family.
It
was
built
with
bricks
and
surrounded
by
a
moat(护城河).
At
the

and
the

are

through
displays,
and
in
another
part
the

In
the

appreciate
the
Renaissance

of
the
town,
with
straight
streets
and
monumental
houses.
The
famous
Palazzo
dei
Diamanti
lies
here.
When
I
was

it,
it

after
taking
a

photos
quickly,
I
cut
my
visit
there
short.
It
had
been
raining
for
a
few
days.
When
the
rain
ceased,
I
went
to
visit
the
historical
centre
and
the
Renaissance
buildings.
After
leaving
there,
I
visited
several
other
interesting
places
such
as
palaces,
churches
and
the
narrow
streets
of
the
downtown.
After
four
hours
in
Ferrara
I
left
by
train
to
Mantua.
There
I
had
much
better
time.

I
like
visiting
ancient
Italian
cities.
Ferrara
is
called

(我对文艺复兴感兴趣,所以我喜欢参观意大利古城。Ferrara被称为文艺复兴之城)”可知,作者对文艺复兴感兴趣,而Ferrara被称为文艺复兴之城,也就是Ferrara和文艺复兴有关,所以作者去这个地方参观,故选A。
【22题详解】
推理判断题。根据第二段中“The
city

a
certain
charm
and
calmness,
but
I
find
it
isn't
as
great
as
other

(这个城市有着一定的魅力和平静,但我发现它并不像Verona这样的意大利城市那么伟大,更不用说Venice和Rome了。米其林绿色指南给它两颗星,这是正确的)
”可知,作者认为Ferrara比不上意大利的很多地方,在这旅行的体验不是太好,所以米其林指南对Ferrara的评价是正确的,合理的,故选B。
【23题详解】
推理判断题。根据最后一段中“After
four

in
Ferrara
I
left
by
train
to
Mantua.
There
I

Calling
all
tea
lovers:
the
next
time
you
reach
for
a
cup
of
tea,
try
green
tea—if
you
want
to
lengthen
your
life.
That’s
according
to
a
new
study
recently
concluded
by
researchers
with
the
Chinese
Academy
of
Medical
Sciences.
Researchers
found
“habitual”
tea
drinkers—whom
they
defined
as
drinking
tea
at
least
three
or
more
times
a
week—had
longer
and
healthier
lives
than
those
who
did
not
drink
tea
as
regularly.
But
these
benefits
were
only
seen
in
those
who
drank
green
tea,
not
black
tea.
To
come
to
this
conclusion,
researchers
analyzed
100,902
Chinese
participants
with
no
history
of
heart
attack
or
cancer.
They
were
divided
into
two
groups,
those
who
drank
tea
three
or
more
times
a
week,
and
those
who
drank
tea
less
than
three
times
a
week.
Participants
were
then
followed-up
after
seven
years.
In
the
end,
the
researchers
found
that
regular
tea
drinkers
had
a
20
percent
lower
risk
of
suffering
from
heart
disease,
and
a
22
percent
lower
risk
of
dying
from
heart
disease
than
those
who
never
or
seldom
drank
tea.
Then,
to
look
at
the
“potential
influence
of
changes
in
tea
drinking
behavior,”
researchers
about
eight
years
later
took
a
part
of
study
participants—14,081
people—and
assessed
them
after
five
years.
Finally,
they
found
those
who
continued
to
drink
tea
three
or
more
times
a
week
had
a
56
percent
lower
risk
of
deadly
heart
disease.
But
why
is
green
tea
more
beneficial
than
black?
Senior
author
Dr.
Dongfeng
Gu
said
that
green
tea
is
rich
in
polyphenols(多酚),
as
a
previous
study
shows,
which,
“protect
against
cardiovascular(心血管的)
disease
and
its
risk
factors.”
Black
tea,
on
the
other
hand,
is
fermented(发酵),
during
which
process
“polyphenols
may
lose
their
antioxidant
effects.”
“In
our
study
population,
49%
of
habitual
tea
drinkers
consumed
green
tea
most
frequently,
while
only
8%
preferred
black
tea,”
he
said.
“The
small
percentage
of
habitual
black
tea
drinkers
might
make
it
more
difficult
to
observe
strong
associations,
but
our
findings
hint
at
a
differential
effect
between
tea
types.”
24.
What

mainly

A.
The
research
process.
B.
The
research

C.

D.

25.
What
does
the

phrase
“hint

in
paragraph

probably
mean?
A.
Assess.
B.
Examine.
C.

D.
Indicate.
26.
Which
of
the

is
the

【解析】
【分析】本文是一篇说明文,介绍了喝绿茶可以降低患心脏病的风险并且让身体更加健康。
【24题详解】
主旨大意题。根据文章第二段“They
were
divided
into
two
groups,
those
who
drank
tea
three
or
more
times
a
week,
and
those
who
drank
tea
less
than
three
times
a
week.(他们被分为两组,一组是每周喝茶三次或更多,另一组是每周喝茶少于三次)”可知,研究者把参与者们分成了两组。由此可知,本段主要介绍了实验的具体过程与操作。故选A。
【25题详解】
词义猜测题。根据所猜词的前一部分“The
small
percentage
of
habitual
black
tea
drinkers
might
make
it
more
difficult
to
observe
strong
associations(一小部分习惯喝红茶的人可能更难观察到这种强烈的联系)”可知,喝红茶的人不太容易观察到喝茶与健康之间的联系。再结合所猜词后的“a
differential
effect
between
tea
types(茶的种类之间存在差异)”可知,其实不同种类的茶是有区别的。所以喝红茶的人不容易觉察到联系,但是通过我们的研究表明,其实茶与茶之间是有区别的。由此推知,所猜词的意思为“表明、指示”。故选D。
【26题详解】
主旨大意题。根据文章第一段“the
next
time
you
reach
for
a
cup
of
tea,
try
green
tea—if
you
want
to
lengthen
your
life(下次你想喝一杯茶的时候,试试绿茶——如果你想延长寿命的话)”可知,全文主要介绍了喝绿茶可以延长寿命。那么C项Green
Tea
Drinkers
may
Enjoy
a
Longer
Life(喝绿茶可能更长寿)符合题意。故选C。

Just

According
to
psychologist
Christina
Villareal,
celebrities—famous
people—worry
constantly
about
their
public
appearance.
Eventually,
they
start
to
lose
track
of
who
they
really
are,
seeing
themselves
the
way
their
fans
imagine
them,
not
as
the
people
they
were
before
everyone
knew
their
names.
“Over
time,”
Villareal
says,
“they
feel
separated
and
alone.”
The
phenomenon
of
tracking
celebrities
has
been
around
for
ages.
In
the
4th
century
B.C.,
painters
followed
Alexander
the
Great
into
battle,
hoping
to
picture
his
victories
for
his
admirers.
When
Charles
Dickens
visited
America
in
the
19th
century,
his
sold-out
readings
attracted
thousands
of
fans,
leading
him
to
complain
(抱怨)
about
his
lack
of
privacy.
Tabloids
of
the
1920s
and
1930s
ran
articles
about
film-stars
in
much
the
same
way
that
modern
tabloids
and
websites
do.
Being
a
public
figure
today,
however,
is
a
lot
more
difficult
than
it
used
to
be.
Superstars
cannot
move
about
without
worrying
about
photographers
with
modern
cameras.
When
they
say
something
silly
or
do
something
ridiculous,
there
is
always
the
Internet
to
spread
the
news
in
minutes
and
keep
their
"story"
alive
forever.
If
fame
is
so
troublesome,
why
aren't
all
celebrities
running
away
from
it?
The
answer
is
there
are
still
ways
to
deal
with
it.
Some
stars
stay
calm
by
surrounding
themselves
with
trusted
friends
and
family
or
by
escaping
to
remote
places
away
from
big
cities.
They
focus
not
on
how
famous
they
are
but
on
what
they
love
to
do
or
whatever
made
them
famous
in
the
first
place.
Sometimes
a
few
celebrities
can
get
a
little
justice.
Still,
even
stars
who
enjoy
full
justice
often
complain
about
how
hard
their
lives
are.
They
are
tired
of
being
famous
already.

(他们是世界关注的焦点。狗仔队在家门口扎营,准备好摄像机。小报刊登关于他们有关私人生活的让人激动的故事)
”可知,他们的生活完全被媒体报道。由此推测,他们生活中的隐私已经处于了没有任何保护的状态了。故选B项。
【28题详解】
主旨大意题。根据第三段的中心句,即第一句“The
phenomenon
of
tracking
celebrities
has
been
around
for
ages.
(跟踪名人的现象由来已久)”此段然后列举了一些之前的名人遇到的被跟随的事,可知,该段落主要讲的是名人遇到的这种问题已经有了很久的历史了,故选D项。
【29题详解】
细节理解题。根据第四段的“Superstars

【30题详解】
推理判断题。根据第一段的“Although

(今天的明星尽管变得有名,听起来好像实现了梦想,但是,他们就像动物园里的动物,面临着我们想象不到的压力)”可知,作者觉得现在的名人就像是动物园里的动物一样,没有自由。文章其他段落揭示了名人一直都处在被跟踪中,现在媒体让现在的名人处境更加艰难,而且他们没有隐私,失去自我,变得孤独、变得被世界隔离。最后一段中
“They
are
tired
of
being
famous
already.
(他们已经厌倦了出名)”从名人的角度直接表达了出名的辛苦,因此可以推断出,作者对他们应该是同情的态度,故选A项。

How
to

Emotional
eating
is
when
people

第二节概要写作(满分25分)
67.
阅读下面短文,根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。
Most
children
are
taught
the
virtue
of
honesty
from
fairy
tales
and
other
stories.
The
story
of
Pinocchio,
who
begins
life
as
a
puppet,
teaches
the
importance
of
telling
the
truth.
In
the
United
States,
young
children
learn
the
tale
of
young
George
Washington,
who
finally
admits
to
his
father
that
he
cuts
down
a
cherry
tree.
This
kind
of
story
shows
children
that
"honesty
is
the
best
policy".
Still,
if
this
is
the
case,
then
why
so
many
people
lie?
The
fact
is
that
human
being
lies
for
many
reasons.
One
reason
for
lying
has
to
do
with
minimizing
a
mistake.
While
it
is
true
that
everyone
makes
a
careless
mistake
from
time
to
time,
some
people
don't
have
the
courage
to
admit
their
errors
because
they
fear
blame.
For
example,
students
might
lie
to
their
teachers
about
unfinished
homework.
They
might
say
that
they
left
the
work
at
home
when,
in
fact,
they
didn't
do
the
work
at
all.
These
students
do
not
want
to
seem
irresponsible,
so
they
make
up
an
excuse-a
lie
to
save
face.
If
a
company
decides
to
have
a
weekend
meeting,
one
of
the
managers
might
not
feel
like
attending.
She
may
call
her
boss
and
gives
excuse:
"I've
been
fighting
off
a
cold
all
week,
and
I
truly
can't
risk
getting
the
others
sick.
I'll
be
sure
to
get
all
of
the
notes
on
Monday."
When
individuals
do
not
want
to
admit
the
truth
and
then
face
the
consequences,
they
use
lies
to
avoid
difficulties.
A
somewhat
different
reason
for
lying
has
to
do
with
self-protection.
Parents,
particularly
those
with
small
children,
may
teach
their
children
to
use
this
type
of
"protective"
lie
in
certain
circumstances.
What
should
children
do
if
a
stranger
calls
while
the
parents
are
out?
Many
parents
teach
their
children
to
explain
that
mom
and
dad
are
too
busy
to
come
to
the
phone
at
that
time.
In
this
situation,
protective
lying
can
prevent
harm
or
disaster.

【答案】One
possible
version:
Though
people
are
taught
to
be
honest
from
childhood,
many
people
still
tell
lies
for
various
reasons.
In
some
situations,
people
make
up
an
excuse
to
minimize
a
mistake
to
avoid
embarrassment.
Sometimes
people
like
to
get
out
of
situations
that
they
do
not
want
to
be
in
or
can't
manage.
However,
in
other
circumstances,
people
lie
to
protect
themselves
or
others
from
being
harmed
by
other
people.
