Step 1 Review
1. Lead-in: Ss listen to a song “Seasons in the sun”.
2. Review the four seasons. Have a competition between boys and girls using “Fast dialogs”.
Step 2 Presentation
The teacher says, “ I like spring best, because it is warm and sunny.” Show “Word Formation” ending with “y”.
Play a guessing game. Still have a competition between boys and girls. Ss guess the pictures by asking and answering.
Finish Part 1b. Let students listen and match the words with the right pictures. Then listen to the tape and number the pictures in order.
Ask and answer. Answer the following questions by listening to the flash.
(1) What’s the weather like today
(2) How was the weather yesterday
(3) What is Michael doing now
Listen to 1a again and make similar dialogs with the words and phrases in the table in Part 1c.
Step 3 Consolidation
1. Let Ss draw some weather symbols on the blackboard. The more the better.
2. The teacher asks,“ Where can we see the symbols ” Lead to the weather report.
3. Learn the expression of temperature.
4. Listen and follow Part 2a.
Step 4 Practice
Show four pictures and practice the patten of “What’s the temperature ” Work in pairs.
Finish 2b. Look at the weather chart of Toronto and Washington D.C. Then answer the questions.
If time permits, finish Part 3. Listen to the weather report and fill out the table.
Sum up the lesson.

——What’s the weather like in spring
【总思路】
本课件以清新活泼的风格为主,通过音频,图片,游戏等环节为学生呈现了天气和气温的表达法,让学生通过轻松的语言环境掌握本课的重点和难点。
【教学目标】
掌握英语天气和气温的表达法。
学习构词法。
情感目标:谈论四季的天气及气温,引导学生更热爱生活。
【具体步骤】
此课件的最开始以一曲轻松惬意的Seasons in the sun带领学生走进本课的主题。第一张幻灯片,我根据课文标题的需要自己组合图案,起到引入的作用。第二张幻灯片呈现的是复习环节,以男女生竞赛的形式贯穿整堂课。我设计了两个倒计时,旨在让学生清楚地看到他们比赛的时间。倒计时的设计使得比赛的气氛更加激烈。
本课的一大重点是学习天气的表达法。所以我在第三张幻灯片时就直接把sunny一词拿来导入,我使用字体加粗且更改颜色以表强调,告诉学生我们今天要学习的重点——构词法。紧接着在第四张幻灯片中把描绘天气的词全部呈现出来,启发学生观察找出规律,旨在让学生学习新课前先解决单词问题。在呈现完单词后,我在第5张幻灯片中设计了一个游戏环节,通过猜图的形式再次巩固构词法。这是我的思路!
由于天气是生活中再普通不过的话题了,为了不落入俗套让学生在课堂中保持浓厚的兴趣,我大量引用了学生所熟悉的QQ天气,手机天气,电视天气预报等不同的形式再次巩固单词。在巩固单词的同时,我在第18张幻灯片时设计一个问号,引入课文第二大难点的学习——气温的表达法。从数字到摄氏度的表达,从单词到句子,从句子到对话,最后到文章,通过竞赛的环节,环环相扣,达到很好的操练效果。
引入课文2a部分后,由于前面的大量经过细化的操练,学生对课文的内容已基本掌握,这个时候训练听力的时候到了。从中文版的天气预报到英文版的weather report,学生容易接受,过渡自然,效果很好。当然,为了使学生更好的进入状态,我还特地下载了天气预报的背景音乐,音乐一响起来,学生的注意力马上集中起来,兴趣燃烧了起来,对于本课的难点也就再次得到突破了。
到第26张幻灯片就是本课的总结部分了(Sum up)。到这里可能时间已剩3分钟,学生难免开始注意力下降,这时,我用了一个较欢快的声音效果,起到提醒的作用。提醒学生们,总结的时候到了!再次让学生检验这堂课是否掌握。
最后便是作业的环节,没有特殊的加工,简洁明了地让学生知道今天的作业。
