Period 1
教学目标:
Able to understand and speak new words: Children’s Day, month, January…December.
Able to use “ When’s …. ” “ It’s on the…” to talk about date;
Able to grasp the way of expressing date
教学重点及难点:
重点:Grasp four-skill words and sentence
难点:Use sentence “ When’s …. ” “ It’s on the …..”

教学准备:calendar, birthday cake, word card, tape, etc.
教学步骤:
Step1. Warming up
Greetings:
Game---Dragon game
Step 2. Presentation
Create situation to lead in the sentence
T: Today is Tuesday/ ….It’s the 21st of April/ ….And today is Ying’s /…birthday.
Let’s sing Happy Birthday, Ok
Show the calendar.
T: When’s your birthday
Ask some students’ birthdays, and let them point the date out on the calendar. Help them answer with “ It’s on the ..”
Lead students to ask questions.
S: Miss/ Mr….when’s your birthday
T: It’s on the …..
Write and teach new sentence, and impress the usage of “ on” and “ the”
