Dear fellow students,
What is known to us all is that marine(海洋的) pollution has become an increasingly serious problem. Too much rubbish goes into the sea everyday. Too many plastic products do great harm to marine life. Besides, overfishing also has a negative impact on the marine ecology(生态). Therefore, it's high time that we should take some measures to protect our ocean.
The governments have been determined to handle the problems. They keep a record of(记录) the levels(等级) of pollution and punish those who break the law. Additionally, fishing is banned completely for a few months in the worst areas at a time. From where I stand(在我看来), we individuals(个人) can also do our bit(尽自己的一份力) to make a difference. For example, it is suggested that we should use fewer plastic products, eat locally as much as possible, equip ourselves with(使自己具备...) knowledge about the ocean and share it with others.
In a word, only by joint(共同的) effort can we make contributions to protecting the sea.
