CLASS OPENING AND REVIEW
Review numbers 1to 100 with a number poster. Point to the numbers as I say them in English with the class.
Repeat this drill.
NEW CONCEPTS
How many ______? ________.
Hold up different numbers of objects that from regular plurals and lead a question-and-answer drill. Use facial expressions and gestures to make your meaning clean.
For example:
T: Look! What’s this?
C: An\One eraser.
T: How many erasers do I have? How many? One, two, three. How many erasers do I have? Three erasers. How many books do I have?
C: Two books.
T: Yes! Very good!
Play a game.
Ask each student to take out his or her pencil, pen, marker, eraser, scissors and pencil case. Ask the students each to find a partner and spread their assembled objects on a desk between them. The students take turns removing objects from the desk, the other students guess what’s missing by making objects. For each correct guess, the first student asks “How many?” the others responds with a number and the correct plural or singular of the missing objects.
