CLASS OPENING AND REVIEW
Review classroom commands and more with the song “This is the way go to school.”
Review classroom objects mastered.
NEW CONCEPTS
Note that the dialogue in student’s book reviews possessive pronounce . Draw three “students” on the blackboard and label them two of them “boy” and one of them “girl”. Ask for two volunteer to model the dialogue from the student’s book for the class. Give them at object and explain which “student” on the blackboard it belongs to. One volunteer must ask “Is this his\her\my\your______?” the other must respond appropriately.
Tell the rest of the students to listen carefully and put up their hands if they hear some mistakes. Any student who correctly identifies a mistake takes the place of the volunteers in error. The dialogue repeats. If no one makes a mistake. Ask for new volunteers. To make the exercise harder change the boy combinations on the blackboard.
Play “TIC-TAC-TOE” with the question “What’s it?”
Use word-cards in a pocket panel to show students how to substitute words in “What is it? It’s ___.”
