教学设计思想
本课是小学四年级下册的一堂英语课。本节课所需课时为1课时,40分钟。该课主要培养学生的英语听说能力和应用语言的能力。主要的学习内容就是课文中有关节日的单词和几月几日的表达方法。本节课教学设计中特别重视学生在语言知识的学习和把握上。由于本课通过多媒体进行教学,为学生提供了比课本更生动更真实更丰富的资源,提供了声、图齐全的学习声像资料。使学生在良好的学习氛围中学得知识,学习兴趣也得以保持。
二、Teaching objectives:
1、知识目标:①学生能正确读出六个节日的名称:
New Year’s Day, the Spring Festival, International Workers' Day,
Children’s Day, Teachers’ Day, National Day.
②学生能够使用序数词正确说出六个节日的日期。
③学生会灵活运用句型:When is……? It is…….
2、能力目标?:学生能运用所学句型进行对话表演和口语交际,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,培养学生的英语学习能力。 3、情感目标:让学生在自主、合作、探究的学习过程中去学习、感受英语,激发学生学习英语的兴趣。

Step1 Greeting
T:Good morning boys and girls. Before we begin the class. Let’s sing a song.(play the video)
Step2 Lesson Hook
T: You sing very well. Did you see some festivals in the video? Can you say them in English?
Ss: No.
T: Do you know when it is?
Ss: No.
T: Don’t worry. We are going to learn this lesson.
Step3 New Concepts
1.①T: Let’s guess together. This festival is in January. We are going to celebrate it. It is……
Ss:元旦
T: Yes. It’s New Year’s Day(picture). It’s the beginning of a year .
Let’s read together
T: When is New Year’s Day?
Ss: 1月1日
T: Yes . It’s January the first. So ,January the first is New Year’s Day.
We can write it January 1.They are the same. Next, let’s learn how to express the date in English.
(explain the use of date in English)
②T: Next, I’ll show you a video. After watching ,please tell me what festival is it.
(play the video)
Ss: 春节.
T: Yes. It’s the Spring Festival.(Read several times)
T: When is the Spring Festival this year ?
Ss: 2月19日.
T: It’s February 19. It’s in February. And sometimes it comes in January.
③T: (show a picture) Do you know who are they ?
Ss: 工人.
T: Yes, They are workers. Read after me “worker”.
T: Do you know which festival is workers ’festival?
Ss: Yes.五一劳动节.
T: It’s International workers’ Day. It is May the first.
④T: When June comes. Maybe your favourite festival is also comes. What is it?
Ss:儿童节.
T: Yes. It’s Children’s Day. It’s your festival. What do you do on Children’s Day?
Ss: Play games, dance, sing songs.
T: What a happy day. let us take the happy mood to read .
⑤T: Next, please look at this picture. What does she do?
Ss: She is a teacher.
T: So this festival is …
Ss: Teachers’ Day.
T: Yes. It’s my festival . It’s on September the tenth.
⑥T: Do you know what festival is in October ?
Ss: Yes.国庆节.
T: National Day . Read after me please !
T:When is National Day?
Ss: October the first.
T:Good. You did very well. Please listen to the tape and read after it .

2.①T:Do you remember the festivals and their dates ? Let’s do an exercise.(Point at the festival pictures and ask the students:What festival is it? When is it?)
③T:(show the cards).Look at these holiday cards . Do you like them ?

T:Can you introduce them to us. Who wants to have a try?
(Do an example first.Then ask students to introduce the festivals in front of the classroom )
3.T:look at this card. What’s this ?
Ss: A birthday card.
T:Clever. January the first is my birthday. So I make this birthday card . Can you make a birthday card ?
