Step 1 Revisions
The teacher shows some photographs to students and reviews some adjectives .(Teacher :T; Student:S)
eg, T: look at the photos.what does he look like
S : He is tall and thin .
Step 2 Activities
The teacher shows some photographs to students and describe people’s character
eg. Teacher: What is the man like
Student: He is serious.
Step 3 1a
Students talk together and think of more words about appearance and personality to fill in the chart as many as possible .
  

Step 4 . Games
Show the pictures and ask students to describe one person’s past and present by using the structure of “used to do”.
Step 5 .1b
Play the tape of Part 1b and get the students to fill in the blanks . Next you are going to listen to a conversation. In the conversation you will find that Bob is seeing some friends for the first time in four years. Listen and fill in the chart on page 10 with words telling about friends’ appearances and personalities. While listening, pay attention to the form of the sentences.
Step6 .2a
Play the tape of Part 2a and get the students to choose the words they hear .Then finish the teaching task of 2a.
Step 7 .2b
Play the tape of Part 2a again and get the students to fill in the blanks with the words they hear in Part2b .Then finish the teaching task of 2b and make the students think about how they have changed
Step 8 .Experience.
