【解析】
【分析】本文是一篇应用文。文章主要介绍了几本用来庆祝登月纪念日的书籍。
【21题详解】
细节理解题。根据“Moonbound,
$35”中的“Much
of
the
astronauts’
dialog
is
based
on
real
recordings,
making
the
book
particularly
reliable.”(
很多宇航员的对话都是基于真实的记录,这使得这本书特别可靠。)由此可知,是一些真实的记录使“Moonbound”的内容更可靠,故选D。
【22题详解】
细节理解题。根据“The
Apollo
Missions,
$19.99”中的“A
former
NASA

uses
photographs,
illustrations,
blueprints
and
other
documents
to
guide
readers
through

clear
history
of
the
space
race
and
the
Apollo
program”(
一位前NASA工程师使用照片、插图、蓝图和其他文件引导读者清楚地了解太空竞赛和阿波罗计划的历史)由此可知,你要想了解太空的历史,可以读“The
Apollo
Missions”这本书,故选C。
【23题详解】
推理判断题。根据文章第一段“Astronomy
lovers
are
not
the
only
ones
excited
about
the
50th
anniversary
of
the
moon
landing.
Publishers
are
also
taking

of
books
to
mark
the
occasion.
”(
并非只有天文学爱好者对登月50周年感到兴奋。出版商们也注意到了这一点,提供了一堆书来纪念这个时刻。)以及下文几本书的介绍,可知是写给天文爱好者的,故选B。
【点睛】应用文多是细节理解题。一般定位关键词适用于解答细节理解题。通过定位关键词解题,考生在阅读题干时,把题干中有标记意义的词或词组标记出来,或者选项中的关键词,然后用这个词回到原文当中定位。如小题1题干中的Moonbound,再如小题2题干中的history,可以帮助快速找出答案。
B
In
our
magazine’s
document
room,
from
the
June
1920
issue,
I
discovered
a
piece,
What
Editors
Do,
by
Hazel
Miller.
What
she
talks
about
caught
my
eye:
The
first
World
War
and
its
ending
just
two
years
before.
“During
1917
and
1918,
when
the
World
War
was
going,
there
was
a
huge
demand
for
war
material,”
Miller
writes.
“Most
magazines
were
carrying
practically
nothing
but
war
stories.
When
the
War
ended
in
November,
1918,
some
editors
still
had
a
goodly
supply
of
war
fiction
and
articles—for
which
they
had
paid
real
money—on
their
hands,
which
most
people
by
now
are
fed
up
with.”
Her
words
have
stuck
with
me
for
the
past
12
months
as
we’ve
weighed
which
COVID-19
stories
to
run
and
which
to
hold.
I’m
writing
these
words
with
thick
snow
outside
my
window,
but
they
will
reach
you
in
the
green
of
spring.
Will
you
be
vaccinated(接种疫苗)
and
tired
of
reading
about
COVID-19
then?
We
say
writing
is
an
art,
and
publishing
is
a
business,
but
I
worry
we
forget
that
publishing
is
also
a
gamble(赌博),
Except
for
the
immediate
publication,
everyone
in
the
industry—agents,
acquiring
editors,
magazine
and
journal
editors,
etc.—are
betting
on
a
story’s
success
in
a
future
we
cannot
see.
As
is
the
nature
of
fortune
telling,
we
are
not
so
sure
we
will
not
occasionally
lose:
The
1920
editors
sitting
on
a
store
of
war
stories
no
one
wants,
for
example.
With
so
many
factors
outside
your
control,
and
so
much
uncertainty
in
the
industry,
isn’t
it
better
to
have
stories
written
from
the
heart
that
you
are
truly
enthusiastic
about
rather
than
some
to
please
an
ever-changing
publishing
market?
My
future
reader,
it’s
my
hope
that
this
issue
finds
you
this
spring
doing
just
that:
Writing
the
stories
you
need
to
tell—and
the
ones
that
will
delight
your
own
future
readers
for
years
to
come.
24.
What
does
the
writer
probably
do?
A.
A
journalist.
B.
An
editor.
C.
A
librarian.
D.
A
historian.
25.
What
did
Miller’s
words
suggest?
A.
The
First
World
War
shouldn’t
have
ended
too
soon.
B.
Some
editors
would
make
a
great
fortune
by
storing
war
material
C.
In
the
post-war
years,
people
still
enjoyed
reading
about
war.
D.
Too
much
war
material
had
been
stored
by
some
editors.
26.
The
writer
find
Miller’s
words
especially
useful
when_______.
A.
deciding
which
COVID-19
stories
to
publish
B.
writing
during
the
winter
months
C.
waiting
for
the
green
of
spring
D.
expecting
to
be
vaccinated
27.
What
is
the
writer’s
message
to
the
potential
authors?
A.
To
please
the
present
publishing
market.
B.
To
learn
the
nature
of
fortune-telling
C.
To
control
as
many
factors
as
possible.
D.
To
write
from
the

for
the

readers.

【解析】
【分析】这是一篇议论文。作者讲述了自己阅读黑兹尔·米勒写的《编辑是怎么做的》有感,就此结合实际进行了思考以及对潜在作者表达了希望其能为未来的读者发自内心地写作。
【24题详解】
推理判断题。根据第一段中“In
our

I
discovered

What

(在我们杂志的资料室,1920年6月号的那一期,我发现了一篇黑兹尔·米勒(Hazel
Miller)写的文章《编辑是怎么做的》。)”可知,作者可能是一个编辑。故选B项。
【25题详解】
细节理解题。根据第二段中“When
the
War
ended
in
November,
1918,
some
editors
still
had
a
goodly
supply
of
war
fiction

with.
(1918年11月战争结束时,有些编辑还保留着大量的战争小说和文章——他们花现金买的,但现在大多数人已经厌倦了。)”可知,米勒的话暗示了有些编辑储存了太多的战争资料。故选D项。
【26题详解】
推理判断题。根据第三段中“Her
words
have
stuck
with
me
for
the
past
12
months
as
we’ve
weighed
which
COVID-19
stories
to

(在过去的12个月里,当我们权衡哪些报道应该报道,哪些报道应该保留时,她的话一直萦绕在我心头。)”可知,作者发现,米勒的话在决定发表哪篇COVID-19报道时特别有用。故选A项。
【27题详解】
推理判断题。根据倒数第二段中“…isn’t
it
better
to
have
stories
written
from
the
heart
that
you
are
truly
enthusiastic
about
rather
than
some

(比起迎合不断变化的发行市场,写一些发自内心的故事不是更好吗?)”和最后一段中“…Writing
the
stories
you
need
to
tell…(…写出你需要讲的故事…)”可知,对于潜在作者,作者希望其能为未来的读者发自内心地写作。故选D项。
C
If
your
in-box
is
currently
reporting
unread
messages
in
the
hundreds
or
thousands,
you
might
have
a
hard
time
believing
the
news:
e-mail
is
on
the
decline.
At
first
thought,
that
might
seem
to
be
the
case.
The
incoming
generation,
after
all,
doesn’t
do
e-mail.
Oh,
they
might
have
an
account.
They
use
it
only
as
we
would
use
a
fax
machine:
as
a
means
to
communicate
with
old-school
folks
like
their
parents
or
to
fulfill
the
sign-up
requirements
of
Web
sites.
They
rarely
check
it,
though.
Today’s
instant
electronic
memos

such
as
texting
and
Facebook
and
Twitter
messages

are
more
direct,
more
concentrated,
more
efficient.
They
go
without
the
salutation
(称呼语)
and
the
signoff
(签收);
we
already
know
the
“to”
and
“from.”
Many
corporations
are
moving
to
messaging
networks
for
exactly
that
reason:
more
signal,
less
noise
and
less
time.
This
trend
is
further
evidence
that
store-and-forward
systems
such
as
e-mail
and
voicemail
are
outdated.
Instead
of
my
leaving
you
a
lengthy
message
that
you
pick
up
later,
I
can
now
send
you
an
easily-read
message
that
you
can
read

and
respond
to

on
the
go.
The
coming
of
the
mobile
era
is
responsible
for
the
decline
of
e-mail.
Instant
written
messages
bring
great
convince
to
people.
They
can
deal
with
them
at
about
any
time:
before
a
movie,
in
a
taxi,
waiting
for
lunch.
And
because
these
messages
are
very
brief,
they’re
suitable
for
smart
phone
typing.
Does
this
mean
e-mail
is
on
its
way
to
the
dustbin
of
digital
history?
Not
necessarily.
E-mail
still
has
certain
advantages.
On
the
other
hand,
tweets
and
texts
feel
ephemeral

you
read
them,
then
they’re
gone,
into
an
endless
string,
e-mail
still
feels
like
something
you
have
and
that
you
can
file,
search
and
return
to
later.
It’s
easy
to
imagine
that
it
will
continue
to
feel
more
appropriate
for
formal
communications:
agreements,
important
news,
longer
explanations.
So,
e-mail
won’t
go
away
completely.
Remember,
we’ve
been
through
a
transition
(过度)
like
this
not
so
long
ago:
when
e-mail
was
on
the
rise,
people
said
that
postal
mail
was
dead.
That’s
not
how
it
works.
Postal
mail
found
its
smaller
market,
and
so
will
e-mail.
New
technology
rarely
replaces
old
one
completely;
it
just
adds
new
alternatives.
28.
What
would
the
incoming
generation
like
to
do
with
their
e-mail
accounts?
A.
Check
bank
accounts.
B.
Send
long
messages.
C.
Fill
in
some
forms.
D.
Communicate
with
their
colleagues.
29.
Which
of
the
following
is
mainly
discussed
in
paragraphs
3
and
4?
A.
The
possible
reasons
behind
the
decline
of
e-mail
B.
The
likes
and
dislikes
of
the
young
generation
C.
The
rapid
development
of
e-communication
channels
D.
Evidence
about
the
uncertain
future
of
easily-consumed
messages
30.
What
does
the
underlined
word
“ephemeral”
in
paragraph
5
mean?
A.
Automatically-sending.
B.
Randomly-written.
C.
Hardly-
recognized.
D.
Shortly-appearing.
31.
According
to
the
passage,
which
of
the
following
statements
is
true?
A.
It’s
too
early
to
determine
the
decline
of
e-mail.
B.
E-mail
has
reasons
to
exist
with
its
own
advantages.
C.
E-mail,
just
like
postal

has
come
to
its
end.
D.
We

for

of

such
as
texting
and
Facebook
and
Twitter
messages

are
more
direct,
more
concentrated,
more
efficient.
(今天的即时电子备忘录——如短信,Facebook和推特消息——更直接、更集中、更高效)”和“This
trend
is
further
evidence
that
store-and-forward
systems
such
as
e-mail
and
voicemail
are
outdated.
(这种趋势进一步证明了诸如电子邮件和语音邮件之类的储存转发系统已经过时了)”和第四段的“The
coming
of
the
mobile
era
is
responsible
for
the
decline
of
e-mail.
(移动时代的到来是电子邮件衰败的原因)”可知,这两段主要陈述了电子邮件衰败背后可能的原因。故选A。
【30题详解】
词句猜测题。根据划线部分所在句子“On
the
other
hand,
tweets
and
texts
feel
ephemeral

you
read
them,
then
they’re
gone,
into
an
endless
string,
e-mail
still
feels
like
something
you
have
and
that
you
can
file,
search
and
return
to
later.
”可知,另一方面推特和短信感觉ephemeral——你读了它们,然后它们消失了,变成了无穷无尽的字符串,而电子邮件给人的感觉仍然是你拥有的东西,你可以归档、搜索并可以稍后返回。结合句意可知,和电子邮件相比推特和短信是短暂的,它们很快会消失。由此推知划线词的意思是“短暂存在”,与shortly-appearing同义。故选D。
【31题详解】
推理判断题。根据倒数第二段的“It’s
easy
to
imagine
that
it
will
continue
to
feel
more
appropriate
for
formal
communications:
agreements,
important
news,
longer
explanations.
(很容易想象,它会继续让人觉得适合使用于正式沟通:协议、重要新闻、更长的解释)”和最后一段
“So,
e-mail
won’t
go
away
completely.
Remember,
we’ve
been
through
a
transition
(过度)
like
this
not
so
long
ago:
when
e-mail
was
on
the
rise,
people
said
that
postal
mail
was
dead.
That’s
not
how
it
works.
Postal
mail
found
its
smaller
market,
and
so
will
e-mail.
New
technology
rarely
replaces
old
one
completely;
it
just
adds
new
alternatives.
(所以,电子邮件不会完全消失。记住,我们前不久才经历形同的情况:当电子邮件崛起时,人们说邮政邮件时代会过去。但事情不是这样的。邮政邮件找到了它较小的市场,电子邮件也一样。新的技术很少完全取代旧的,它只是添加了新的选择)”可推知,电子邮件有它自身的优势,它的存在是有理由的。故选B。

【解析】
【分析】这是一篇新闻报道。短文讲述了去年夏天在中国很火的电视剧电视剧《长安十二时辰》,也在国外流媒体和海外网站播放,一些海外网站也向付费用户提供了这个节目,这部电视剧的成功表明,美是一种跨越国界的通用语言。
【详解】32.细节理解题。根据第一段第一句第二句“The
TV

33.词义猜测题。根据转折词but可知,前后句意相反,前文“I

worried
that
they
wouldn't
understand
the
complex
political
structure
of
the
Tang
Dynasty”(我担心他们无法理解唐朝复杂的政治结构)将外国观众可能无法理解唐朝历史,所以后文是讲这部电视剧反而鼓励了外国观众搜索唐朝历史来更好地理解情节。所以prompting和encouraging词义相同。故选D。
34.细节理解题。根据第三段最后一句“The
success
of
the

shows
that
beauty
is
a
universal
language
crossing

it

【37题详解】
根据后文“The

I

My

A

the

I
climb

and
fall
back
into

but
an

panic
wakes

I
stand
in
the

The

but
how

that
be
when
the

burned
out
hours
ago?
I
crack
a
window,
return
to

and
fall
into
a
dead
sleep.
Suddenly,
I
hear
screams.
It’s
my
husband,
Troy.
“Mary!
Get
out
of
the

Hearing
the
panic
in
his

I

I

Searing

I

shielding
my
mouth
and
nose.
Without
knowing
how,
I
have
Taylor
in
my
arms
and
am
at
his
bedroom
window.
When
I

it,
ashes

as
the
heat

us.
There’s
fire
behind
me,

9-meter
drop
to
concrete

below.
Troy

from

window,
“Hold
on!
I’m

I

his

respond.
I

panic.
I

my
arms
will
stretch
so
he
can
breathe.
I
hold

(晃荡).
I
am

In
our
magazine’s
document
room,
from
the
June
1920
issue,
I
discovered
a
piece,
What
Editors
Do,
by
Hazel
Miller.
What
she
talks
about
caught
my
eye:
The
first
World
War
and
its
ending
just
two
years
before.
“During
1917
and
1918,
when
the
World
War
was
going,
there
was
a
huge
demand
for
war
material,”
Miller
writes.
“Most
magazines
were
carrying
practically
nothing
but
war
stories.
When
the
War
ended
in
November,
1918,
some
editors
still
had
a
goodly
supply
of
war
fiction
and
articles—for
which
they
had
paid
real
money—on
their
hands,
which
most
people
by
now
are
fed
up
with.”
Her
words
have
stuck
with
me
for
the
past
12
months
as
we’ve
weighed
which
COVID-19
stories
to
run
and
which
to
hold.
I’m
writing
these
words
with
thick
snow
outside
my
window,
but
they
will
reach
you
in
the
green
of
spring.
Will
you
be
vaccinated(接种疫苗)
and
tired
of
reading
about
COVID-19
then?
We
say
writing
is
an
art,
and
publishing
is
a
business,
but
I
worry
we
forget
that
publishing
is
also
a
gamble(赌博),
Except
for
the
immediate
publication,
everyone
in
the
industry—agents,
acquiring
editors,
magazine
and
journal
editors,
etc.—are
betting
on
a
story’s
success
in
a
future
we
cannot
see.
As
is
the
nature
of
fortune
telling,
we
are
not
so
sure
we
will
not
occasionally
lose:
The
1920
editors
sitting
on
a
store
of
war
stories
no
one
wants,
for
example.
With
so
many
factors
outside
your
control,
and
so
much
uncertainty
in
the
industry,
isn’t
it
better
to
have
stories
written
from
the
heart
that
you
are
truly
enthusiastic
about
rather
than
some
to
please
an
ever-changing
publishing
market?
My
future
reader,
it’s
my
hope
that
this
issue
finds
you
this
spring
doing
just
that:
Writing
the
stories
you
need
to
tell—and
the
ones
that
will
delight
your
own
future
readers
for
years
to
come.
24.
What
does
the
writer
probably
do?
A.
A
journalist.
B.
An
editor.
C.
A
librarian.
D.
A
historian.
25.
What
did
Miller’s
words
suggest?
A.
The
First
World
War
shouldn’t
have
ended
too
soon.
B.
Some
editors
would
make
a
great
fortune
by
storing
war
material
C.
In
the
post-war
years,
people
still
enjoyed
reading
about
war.
D.
Too
much
war
material
had
been
stored
by
some
editors.
26.
The
writer
find
Miller’s
words
especially
useful
when_______.
A.
deciding
which
COVID-19
stories
to
publish
B.
writing
during
the
winter
months
C.
waiting
for
the
green
of
spring
D.
expecting
to
be
vaccinated
27.
What
is
the
writer’s
message
to
the
potential
authors?
A.
To
please
the
present
publishing
market.
B.
To
learn
the
nature
of
fortune-telling
C.
To
control
as
many
factors
as
possible.
D.
To
write
from
the
heart
for
the
future
readers.
C
If
your
in-box
is
currently
reporting
unread
messages
in
the
hundreds
or
thousands,
you
might
have
a
hard
time
believing
the
news:
e-mail
is
on
the
decline.
At
first
thought,
that
might
seem
to
be
the
case.
The
incoming
generation,
after
all,
doesn’t
do
e-mail.
Oh,
they
might
have
an
account.
They
use
it
only
as
we
would
use
a
fax
machine:
as
a
means
to
communicate
with
old-school
folks
like
their
parents
or
to
fulfill
the
sign-up
requirements
of
Web
sites.
They
rarely
check
it,
though.
Today’s
instant
electronic
memos

such
as
texting
and
Facebook
and
Twitter
messages

are
more
direct,
more
concentrated,
more
efficient.
They
go
without
the
salutation
(称呼语)
and
the
signoff
(签收);
we
already
know
the
“to”
and
“from.”
Many
corporations
are
moving
to
messaging
networks
for
exactly
that
reason:
more
signal,
less
noise
and
less
time.
This
trend
is
further
evidence
that
store-and-forward
systems
such
as
e-mail
and
voicemail
are
outdated.
Instead
of
my
leaving
you
a
lengthy
message
that
you
pick
up
later,
I
can
now
send
you
an
easily-read
message
that
you
can
read

and
respond
to

on
the
go.
The
coming
of
the
mobile
era
is
responsible
for
the
decline
of
e-mail.
Instant
written
messages
bring
great
convince
to
people.
They
can
deal
with
them
at
about
any
time:
before
a
movie,
in
a
taxi,
waiting
for
lunch.
And
because
these
messages
are
very
brief,
they’re
suitable
for
smart
phone
typing.
Does
this
mean
e-mail
is
on
its
way
to
the
dustbin
of
digital
history?
Not
necessarily.
E-mail
still
has
certain
advantages.
On
the
other
hand,
tweets
and
texts
feel
ephemeral

you
read
them,
then
they’re
gone,
into
an
endless
string,
e-mail
still
feels
like
something
you
have
and
that
you
can
file,
search
and
return
to
later.
It’s
easy
to
imagine
that
it
will
continue
to
feel
more
appropriate
for
formal
communications:
agreements,
important
news,
longer
explanations.
So,
e-mail
won’t
go
away
completely.
Remember,
we’ve
been
through
a
transition
(过度)
like
this
not
so
long
ago:
when
e-mail
was
on
the
rise,
people
said
that
postal
mail
was
dead.
That’s
not
how
it
works.
Postal
mail
found
its
smaller
market,
and
so
will
e-mail.
New
technology
rarely
replaces
old
one
completely;
it
just
adds
new
alternatives.
28.
What
would
the
incoming
generation
like
to
do
with
their
e-mail
accounts?
A.
Check
bank
accounts.
B.
Send
long
messages.
C.
Fill
in
some
forms.
D.
Communicate
with
their
colleagues.
29.
Which
of
the
following
is
mainly
discussed
in
paragraphs
3
and
4?
A.
The
possible
reasons
behind
the
decline
of
e-mail
B.
The
likes
and
dislikes
of
the
young
generation
C.
The
rapid
development
of
e-communication
channels
D.
Evidence
about
the
uncertain
future
of
easily-consumed
messages
30.
What
does
the
underlined
word
“ephemeral”
in
paragraph
5
mean?
A.
Automatically-sending.
B.
Randomly-written.
C.
Hardly-
recognized.
D.
Shortly-appearing.
31.
According
to
the
passage,
which
of
the
following
statements
is
true?
A.
It’s
too
early
to
determine
the
decline
of
e-mail.
B.
E-mail
has
reasons
to
exist
with
its
own
advantages.
C.
E-mail,
just
like
postal
mail
has
come
to
its
end.
D.
We
should
feel
sorry
for
the
decline
of
e-mail.

The
TV
series,
The
Longest
Day
in
Chang'an,
which
was
shown
on
Chinese
online
platforms
last
summer
became
a
hit
soon.
Since
then,
it
has
been
shown
on
partnering
streaming
platforms
and
TV
networks
abroad.
Some
websites
overseas
also
offered
the
program
to
their
users
paying
for
it—the
first
time
a
Chinese
series
was
broadcast
as
paid
content
abroad.
“I
was
amazed
by
the
overseas
audience's
love
for
this
show,”
Cao
Dun,
director
of
The
Longest
Day
in
Chang'an,
told
Beijing
Review.
“I
was
worried
that
they
wouldn't
understand
the
complex
political
structure
of
the
Tang
Dynasty.
But
in
reality,
the
show
is
prompting
foreign
audiences
to
research
Tang
Dynasty's
history
to
better
understand
the
plot.”
The
unique
culture
in
ancient
China
is
not
a
barrier
but
a
bridge
to
connect
with
foreign
audiences.
In
the
TV
series,
every
figure
is
given
enough
space
to
flesh
out
his
or
her
character.
Telling
stories
of
ordinary
Chinese
people
that
resonate
(引起共鸣)
with
the
audience
might
be
the
way
to
communicate
with
the
world.
“The
success
of
the
TV
series
shows
that
beauty
is
a
universal
language
crossing
borders,”
he
told
Beijing
Review.
His
ambition
is
to
distinguish
Chinese
dramas
from
the
TV
shows
in
the
rest
of
the
world.
“The
TV
series
is
a
step
in
my
plan
to
tell
Chinese
stories
to
the
world,”
Cao
said.
“After
describing
the
impressive
beauty
of
the
Tang
Dynasty,
I
am
looking
for
several
plays
that
tell
stories
of
today's
China.
I
don't
want
to
copy
any
country's
production.
Chinese
dramas
have
to
be
built
on
our
rich
culture
and
Chinese
people's
everyday
life,”
Cao
added.
32.
What
do
we
know
about
the
TV
series?
A.
It
was
first
put
on
overseas.
B.
It
can
be
appreciated
for
free.
C.
It
was
very
popular
once
it

D.
It
is
about
the
development
of
the
Tang
Dynasty.
33.
What
does
the
underlined
word
“prompting”
in
Paragraph
2
probably
mean?
A.
Requiring.
B.
Reminding.
C.
Informing.
D.
Encouraging.
34.
What
made
the
TV
series
a
success?
A.
Recognition
of
beauty.
B.
Stories
of
ordinary
people.
C.
Diversity
of
Chinese
culture.
D.
Personalities
of
every
figure.
35.
What
is
Cao

ambition?
A.
To
make
a
successful
TV
series.
B.
To
tell
Chinese
stories
to
the
world.
C.
To
show
China's
different
nationalities.

There
is
nothing
worse
than
sitting
for
an
exam
and
your
mind
going
completely
blank.
____36____
Don’t
worry
because
everything
will
eventually
come
back
to
you
if
you
keep
calm.
Remaining
calm
is
the
most
important
thing
at
this
time,
because
the
more
you
panic
the
harder
it
will
be
for
you
to
recover.
____37____
The
fact
that
your
mind
has
gone
blank
indicates
that
you
are
suffering
under
pressure
so
the
first
step
towards
recovery
is
to
stop
worrying
about
the
exam.
Think
of
things
other
than
the
exam.
Think
about
a
joke,
a
TV
programme
or
a
friend.
____38____
When
you’ve
calmed
down
you
will
be
in
a
position
to
start
getting
your
brain
working
again.
The
first
thing
to
do
is
to
read
through
the
question
again.
If
you’ve
already
answered
some
of
it,
you
can
read
through
your
answer.
____39____
Then
read
through
any
other
questions
you’ve
attempted.
Think
back
to
similar
questions
you’ve
seen
during
your
revision.
Think
of
the
books
you
read
and
try
to
picture
your
course
notes
and
your
revision
notes
in
your
mind.
____40____
This
can
help
focus
your
mind
on
the
relevant
parts
of
your
revision.
You
will
notice
that
the
basic
technique
for
getting
unstuck
is
to
think
of
your
revision
and
not
of
the
question
you
are
actually
trying
to
attempt.
In
effect,
you
are
trying
to
get
into
your
memory
via
the
back
door.
Normally
this
technique
effectively
gets
you
to
spark
the
relevant
memory
areas
with
the
hope
that
you
will
suddenly
come
across
something
relevant
to
the
current
problem.
A.
Usually
you
can
solve
the
problem
smoothly.
B.
That
will
get
the
question
straight
in
your
mind
again.
C.
Try
also
to
picture
any
model
answers
you’ve
seen
before.
D.
The
first
thing
you
should
do
is
to
relax
and
breathe
deeply.
E.
Relax
and
take
your
mind
somewhere
for
the
possible
answers.
F
It
doesn’t
matter
what
it
is
so
long
as
you
take
your
mind
off
the
current
problems.
G.
You
may
be
halfway
through
a
question
or
you
might
not
have
even
started
writing.

67.
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
Ordinary
things
on
an
ordinary
night.
I
wander
into
the
kids’
room.
My
son,
Taylor,
4
years
old,
sleeps,
and
I
pull
the
covers
around
him
and
kiss
his
forehead.
I
walk
downstairs
to
check
the
hearth
(壁炉).
The
fire
is
almost
out.
A
thin
veil
of
smoke
hangs
in
the
air.
I
climb
upstairs
and
fall
back
into
bed,
but
an
hour
later,
panic
wakes
me.
I
stand
in
the
kids’
room.
The
house
seems
smokier
than
it
did
before,
but
how
can
that
be
when
the
fire
burned
out
hours
ago?
I
crack
a
window,
return
to
bed,
and
fall
into
a
dead
sleep.
Suddenly,
I
hear
screams.
It’s
my
husband,
Troy.
“Mary!
Get
out
of
the
house!”
Hearing
the
panic
in
his
voice,
I
sit
upright.
I
run
to
the
bedroom
door
and
swing
it
open,
and
I
am
blown
back,
knocked
to
the
floor.
Searing
(灼人的)
heat
and
black
smoke
surround
me,
burning
my
skin.
I
gasp
for
breath
and
crawl
across
the
floor,
shielding
my
mouth
and
nose.
Without
knowing
how,
I
have
Taylor
in
my
arms
and
am
at
his
bedroom
window.
When
I
open
it,
ashes
and
smoke
blow
through
as
the
heat
is
pulled
toward
us.
There’s
fire
behind
me,
a
9-meter
drop
to
concrete
(混凝土)
below.
Troy
shouts
from
another
window,
“Hold
on!
I’m
coming—I’m
gonna
jump!”
Then
the
sickening
sound
of
bones
against
concrete.
I
scream
his
name,
but
he
doesn’t
respond.
I
start
to
cry,
but
there
is
no
time
for
panic.
I
lower
Taylor
out
his
window
as
far
as
my
arms
will
stretch
so
he
can
breathe.
I
hold
only
his
tiny
hands,
his
body
dangling
(晃荡).
I
am
in
the
center
of
the
firestorm.
I
choke,
spitting
out
black
ashes.
Blisters
rise
on
the
backs
of
my
legs;
the
pain
becomes
unbearable.
I
have
to
do
something.
But
there
is
no
grass
below,
no
trees
or
bushes.
Paragraph
1:
My
brain
searches
for
options.

Paragraph
2:
At
that
very
moment,
Troy
shouts,
“Drop
him!
I’m
here!”
