Lesson 4 A Visit to Lanzhou
Teaching aims(教学目标):
1. 掌握以下重点词汇和短语:group, bridge, cross, wide, cheese, go for a walk, walk along, go down, lead sb. to … , take a picture, in front of.(重点)
2. 能够熟练应用本节课所学的内容,进一步巩固一般将来时的用法。(难点)
3. 了解兰州的风土人情,能够用英语给朋友们介绍兰州的情况。
Teaching steps(教学步骤):
Step 1. Leading in
T: Good morning, everyone. Before our class, let’s watch a video. (Play the video.)
T: Can you guess where it is? Is Lanzhou beautiful? Yeah, it’s very beautiful. It’s the capital of our province. Now, Let’s study lesson 4, a visit to Lanzhou.
(教学设计说明:本部分通过课前给学生播放视频《兰州夜景》,让学生感受美丽的兰州夜晚,由此引出本节课的课题,引入本课时的学习。)
Step 2. Learning aims
Show the learning aims to students on PPT.
T: Let’s know about today’s learning aims. Now, you please read the learning aims together.
Get the students to read the words and phrases after the teacher.
(教学设计说明:本部分旨在为同学们展示学习目标,让同学们在学习上能够做到有的放矢。)
Step 3. Enjoying some pictures
Show some beautiful pictures about Lanzhou to students. Let the students to know about Lanzhou.
(教学设计说明:本部分通过给学生展示一些兰州的地标性建筑物,让学生进一步地了解兰州,为本节课的学习做好铺垫,同时也可以引起学生极大的学习兴趣。)
Step 4. New words
T: Next, let’s look at these pictures and guess the words.
Show some pictures to students. Get the students to read after the teacher and remember them.
(教学设计说明:本部分旨在通过在课件上展示真实的图片,让学生想出对应的单词,让学生通过真实的语境来学习新单词,做到牢固记忆。)
Step 5. Listening task
T: Listen to the dialogue and circle the correct answers.
(教学设计说明:本部分通过听对话勾选正确选项的形式训练学生的听力,以此来提高学生的听力水平。)
Step 6. Reading
1. Read the dialogue and answer the questions. Then check the answers together.
2. Get the students to read and translate the dialogue.
3. Get the students to role play the conversation with four roles. Then invite several groups to show their conversations.
4. Get the students to understand and memorize the language points according to PPT.

Step 7. Exercises
1. Fill in the blanks with the words or phrases in the box.
2. Check the answers together and get the students to read the dialogue loudly.
3. Complete the exercises on PPT.

Step 8. Writing (Homework)
Write an e–mail to your friend about where you want to visit and how do you like to visit.
