教材分析:
本课教学内容重点围绕方位展开,引导学生逐步学习8个表达方位的单词,并学习描述某个地点所处的地理位置。在教学中可借助地图直观地引导学生了解地图方向的标识(上北下南,左西右东)。教师在教授语言知识的同时,尽可能带学生领略一些自然风光和著名的景点,以丰富学生的视野、哄醒学生潜在的学习动力,使之能积极地投入学习,同时进一步了解地理知识
教学内容:
Warm up, let’s learn
教学目标:
1、能听,说,读,写以下方位词
east/ west /north /south /northwest /northeast/ southwest/southeast
学会句型:
… is in the … of China.
3、能运用上述单词准确描述地理位置。
教学重难点:
east/ west /north /south /northwest /northeast/ southwest/southeast
教学方法:
教法:Free talk, 情景教学法。
学法:自主学习, 合作探究。

表示方位的单词卡片,多媒体课件
教学过程:
Step1.Warm up
Have a free talk. (小老师)
1.The monitor has a daily talk freely with other students. They may ask such questions:
What day is it today?
What’s the weather like today?
What color do you like best?
Do you like English?
What is your father?
...
2. Get more students to be the monitor and make more conversations.
设计意图:这个活动让值日班长当小老师,向同学们提出一些贴近生活的问题,然后再让班长随机找其他同学代替班长发问,既锻炼学生们的口语交际能力,也让同学们积极投入到课堂做好准备。

板书并领读单词north, 注意th组合的发音。
设计方法:用一首学生熟悉的歌曲引出北京及北京的地理位置,并理解句型 It is in the north of China.
Learn south
出示中国地图,请同学们找到海南的位置,
---Where is Hainan?
---It is in the south of China.
设计方法:用美丽的海南岛风景图引出海南及海南的地理位置。
Learn east
---Where is Shandong?
---It is in the east of China.
设计方法:用五岳之首“泰山”引出单词east.
Learn west
---Where is Xizang?
---It is in the west of China.
---How will you go to Xizang?
---I’d like to take a train.
用一首动听的歌曲引出西藏及单词west,及以下句型:
