wish 可表示良好的“祝愿”，后面接“宾语+宾补（形容词或名词）。而hope 不能这样用。如：
I wish you happy．祝你幸福。（不用hope）
wish 和hope用法辨析
相同点：都表示“想”“希望”，后都可跟__________作宾语，如：
We hope to see you again．我希望能再次见到你。
I wish to place an order right now． 我想马上订购。
不同点：
（1）wish 后跟 作宾语补足语，hope 无此用法。
I wish him to make progress．我希望他取得进步。
（2）hope 和wish 可跟that 从句，但hope + that 表示希望（可以实现）;wish + that 表示某种强烈而又难以实现的“愿望”，且从句动词用虚拟语气。
I wish I could fly like a bird．但愿我能象鸟一样飞。（从句中的could 表示其动作不可能实现，不能用can。）
（3） 在简略句中，如要表示希望某事不会发生时，应说I hope not，而不说I don"t hope so。
