T: Excuse me , May I ask you some questions ?
P: Yes, please.
T: How many students are there in your class?
P: There are forty-eight students in my class.
T: How many boys and how many girls?
P: There are twenty boys and twenty –eight girls.
T: How many classes do you have today?
P: We have six classes today. Four in the morning and two in the afternoon.
T: What are they ?
P: They are Chinese, maths, English and art in the morning, Music and PE in the afternoon.
T: What subject do you like?
P: I like maths.
T: Do you like English?
P: Yes, I do.
Step4. Learn the new words:
Showing the calendar, look at it, ask the students to answer the questions.

Step5. Learn the new dialogue :
Look at the picture , the teacher asks some questions, then let the students answer them.
T: Hi, everyone! Let’s play a chain game!

T: How many weeks are there in a month?
P: There are four weeks in a month.
T: How many days are there in a week?
P: There are seven days in a week.
Let the students read and translate these sentences, then ask and answer the questions.
The teacher takes out a calendar, then show it to the students.
T: There are seven days in a week. Do you know what day is today?
P: Maybe it is Monday.
T: You are right. How many days are there in a week?
P: There are seven days in a week.
T: What are they?
P: Sorry, I don’t know.
T: I tell you they are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
P: Oh, I know.
T: Do you like Sunday?
P: Yes, I do.
Let the students read the new words after the teacher.
