In our daily life, students may meet many challenges. How to express and deal with them is a problem.In this class, we will learn about some basic feelings, and how to have a talk with others. At the same time, let students know that helping others is also important.

IV.Teaching process:
(1).Leading 杋n: Start a conversation like this, How was your weekend?/ What happened to you last weekend?/ How did you feel? Let students express their feelings freely. Then present some pictures to the students and ask students how they are feeling .

1.exam考试 They are taking/having an exam.
考试考砸了/考得好do badly/well in the exam
2.She is a little shy and her face turns red.
3. strict 严格的,严谨的 be strict with. 对某人要求严格
她对自己要求很严格。 She is very strict with herself.
Listen to 1a and complete the table.
Role-play. Read 1a again and act 1a out according to the above table.
eg: A: Why does Helen look worried?
B: Because Li Hong is so unhappy.
A: Why does Li Hong feel unhappy?
B: Because she did badly in the English exam.
A: How dose Miss Wang help her?
B: She wants to have a talk with Li Hong .

(6)Since we have learnt the usage of the Adverbial Clauses of Reason, Let’s take on the new challenge .Look at the pictures and match the expressions in the box with them. Make a dialogue according to the above picture.
eg: --Why does the girl feel lonely?
---The girl feels lonely because she has no friends.
---Why does he get angry?
---He gets angry because his pen is lost.
---Why does the girl feel sad?
---The girl feels sad because the buildings in her school fell down.
After practicing, I’m still worried about LiHong, so is Helen.Now, Helen sends LiHong an e-card, hoping to cheer her up.Now read the e-card and choose the correct words or phrases.
Write your own e-card to help Li Hong, and share it with your classmates.
eg: I hope you can often communicate with others freely.
Just open your heart and try to make friends with others.
Just try to help others out when they are in trouble.
