四、 While- reading
Individual work
1.Let the students read the passage and understand the general meaning of the passage and finish the pre-reading task.
2.Guide students to read the passage paragraph by paragraph to mark the sentences in 1b.
3.Ask students to scan the sentences and finish 1c.
1).Read the passage to check the answers.
2).Read the passage paragraph by paragraph to finish 1b.
3).Read the passage carefully and match the words with their meanings. Finish 1c.
五、Post-reading
Group work Ask students to discuss Academy Awards (Oscars) show. And then share them in class. Discuss in groups of four to discuss Academy Awards (Oscars) show. Share the information they discussed.
六、Pre-writing
Group work Guide students to discuss their favorite kinds of movies in groups. Discuss the heroes they will introduce, and collect the materials.
七、While-writing
Group work Ask students to discuss their favorite movie and finish the speech in groups according to the materials. Discuss their favorite kinds of movies in groups. And write a report about it. They may begin like this:
I asked over fifty classmates about their favorite kinds of films. Here are the results...
八、 Post-writing
Individual work
1.Guide students to proofread their works.
2.Ask two students to show their works.
1).Learn to proofread their compositions; they can also proofread each other.
2).Read their reports.
九、 Summarizing and assigning homework
Class activity
1.Ask two students to sum up the key points.
2.Repeat the key points.
3.Assign homework.
1).Sum up the main content of this class.
