D篇专项训练
一、解题技巧:
通读全文。通读全文、弄清楚段落大意及文章的中心意思以及作者的基本观点、态度,正确理解语境。
按题查读,即根据问题去寻找答案。
简练作答。组织答案时,注意避免语言错误,如:时态、主谓一致、句子结构和拼写等。如需引用原文,要作适当改动,最好不要整句照搬.
认真核查。逐一检查所填的词是否符合原文主旨和细节,是否答非所问,是否仍存在语法、词汇拼写等错误。
答案形式要符合提问方式。如原文中提问方式为“why”,那么就要用“because”引导的从句来回答。
二、回答问题规范性:
用How提问,回答要以by开头。
A.How
did
the
judge
solve
the
student’s
problem?
B.(The
judge
solved
the
problem)
By
making
the
restaurant
owner
hear
the
sound
of
the
falling
coins.
用where/when提问,要以介词in/
on/
at等开头。
A.Where
did
the
student
live?
B.In
a
small
room
near
a
restaurant.
A.When
did
Eppie
Lederer
begin
to
write
an
advice
column
for
the
Chicago
Sun
Times?
B.In
1955.
(or:
After
she
won
a
contest.)
补充:When提问的题目比较常见,但是要注意,一般不能照抄原文。看下面三种表达:
When
did
you
come
to
Shanghai?
①在2012年→In
2012.
②两年前→Two
years
ago.
③当我是小孩子的时候→When
I
was
a
boy.
通过这几个句子,可知when提问有三种回答方法:
介词+时间点;时间段+ago;
when+句子。
注意:1)用时间状语从句回答时,when不能省略。
2)特别注意表示时间的词前面是否有约数词如about,
around等。
用how
many提问,要注意数字前是否有限定词more
than/
at
least/about等。
A.How
many
readers
do
the
two
columns
have?
B.Nearly
200
million
readers
(around
the
world).
用why提问,要以because(of)
开头回答,
或者以To
do开头回答。
A.Why
did
the
student
feel
afraid?
B.Because
the
judge
said
he
was
wrong
/
he
had
only
a
few
coins/
he
had
no
money.
A.Why
did
Lederer
ask
her
readers
to
write
letters
to
The
U.S.
Congress?
B.To
make
them
pass
the
law.
用whom提问,要以介词with/by等回答。
A.Whom
did
Sam
live
with
in
the
Wild
Catskill
Mountains?
B.He
lived
with
himself.
How
long提问时要注意区分在现在完成时态中要用for+一段时间(since+时间点)开头回答,其他则直接回答。
A.How
long
have
you
stayed
in
Shanghai?
B.
For
3
years.
B.
How
long
did
it
take
you
to
go
to
school
by
bus?
B.
3
hours.
注意回答时态:
A.How
was
the
food
in
the
restaurant?
B.The
food
was
delicious/good.
反义疑问句:
Example
1.
Both
Eppie
Lederer
and
Pauline
Phillip
love
their
jobs,
don’t
they?
Example
2.
Both
Eppie
Lederer
and
Pauline
Phillip
don’t
love
their
jobs,
do
they?
肯定回答:Yes,
they
do.(是的,他们喜欢他们的工作。)
否定回答:No,
they
don’t.(不是的,他们不喜欢他们的工作。)
注意:前面句子的否定词不影响回答,无论陈述句是肯定还是否定,反义疑问句的回答一定要遵循事实来回答,事实上是肯定的就回答Yes,事实上是否定的就回答No,
选择疑问句:
Based
on
her
speaking,
how
do
we
stay
young,
to
laugh
or
to
cry?
回答时,不以yes/no开头,直接选择其中一项回答,即
We
stay
young
to
laugh.
主观题:
要以文章中心思想为基础,通常看文章最后一段的意思,再用自己话概述。
A.As
a
teenager,
will
you
run
away
from
home?
Why?
B.Because
this
was
just
the
kind
of
forest
he

Cruises
are
becoming
more
and
more
popular,
with
around
20
million
passengers
per
year
now
enjoying
holidays
on
board
luxury(奢侈的)
ships.
More
people
see
a
cruise
as
the
perfect
way
to
sit
back
and
do
nothing,
and
enjoy
time
off
work.
But
what
is
the
effect
on
the
environment
of
this
trend?
Although
it
usually
takes
less
energy
for
a
vehicle
to
move
through
water
than
over
land,
cruise
ships
are
often
massive,
with
the
biggest
ones
carrying
up
to
6,000
passengers.
Moving
such
large
vehicles
requires
huge
engines
which
burn
as
much
as
300,000
litres
of
fuel
a
day.
One
scientist
has
calculated
that
cruise
ships
create
as
much
pollution
as
5
million
cars
going
over
the
same
distance.
Because
they
are
out
at
sea,
they
also
burn
dirtier
fuel
that
isn’t
allowed
on
land.
Unfortunately,
no
government
has
control
over
the
amount
of
air
pollution
out
at
sea.
Cruises
also
produce
huge
amounts
of
rubbish,
and
cruise
ships
aren’t
usually
good
at
recycling.
Waste
water
from
showers
and
toilets
is
usually
poured
directly
into
the
sea
–
as
much
per

“You
have
saved
my
horse,”
Queen
Olivia
told
the
young
boy
standing
before
her.
“Now
you
shall
have
a
reward.”
Peter
nervously
ran
his
fingers
through
his
brown
hair.
The
frightened
horse
had
run
past
him
as
he
worked
in
the
field
that
morning.
He
would
have
helped
it
whether
it
belonged
to
the
queen
or
not.
But
he
had
to
admit
that
getting
a
reward
was
nice.
Two
of
the
queen’s
men?appeared.
One
carried
a
mirror.
Red
jewels
shone
on
top
of
the
mirror’s
silver
frame.
The
other
carried
a
wooden
cage
with
a
chicken
inside
it.
“Only
one
reward
can
be
yours,”
the
queen
said.
“Choose
wisely.”
“That’s
easy,”
Peter
said.
“I’ll
take
the
chicken.”
Some
of
the
queen’s
men
laughed.
It
was
clear
that
they
thought
he
had
made
a
foolish
choice.?
“And
why
did
you
choose
the
chicken?”
the
queen
asked.
“Well,
I
don’t
know
much
about
jewels
,”
Peter
answered.
“But
I
do
know
about
chickens.
The
chicken
will
provide
eggs
for
my
family
for
a
long
while.”
Queen
Olivia
smiled.
“Then
you
did
make
a
wise
choice,”
she
said.
“That
mirror
may
look
fancy.
But
the
jewels
you
see
are
only
colored
glass,
and
the
frame
is
painted
silver.
The
chicken
is
much
more
valuable.”
Peter
took
the
chicken
and
bowed.
“Thank
you,
your
majesty.”
“You
are
a
smart
child,”
the
queen
added.
“I
could
use
a
smart
boy
to
help
take
care
of
my
horses.
Would
you
like
to
take
the
job?”
Peter
smiled.
“Thank
you
very
much!”
he
said
excitedly.
A

When
Jan
and
Brian
Dutcher
moved
to
San
Diego
for
Brian’s
new
job
at
San
Diego
State
University,
the
neighbors
smiled
and
introduced
themselves.
But
there
were
no
“bring
a
plate”
invitations,
no
car
pooling
for
her
daughters
Liza,
12
and
Erin,
15.
“The
families
really
didn’t
know
each
other,
and
we
missed
that,”
says
Jan.
“We
are
far
from
relatives.
Neighbors
are
our
family.”
So
Jan,
an
artist,
decided
to
repeat
a
project
she
had
done
for
Liza’s
fifth-grade
class:
ask
each
person
to
paint
his
or
her
face
on
a
big
canvas
(帆布).
The
finished
piece
would
become
the
new
family
photo.
First,
Jan
painted
a
grid
(网格)
on
the
canvas
and
put
it
up
in
the
garage
with
a
table
of
paints
nearby.
Then
whenever
she
was
home,
the
“art
room”
door
was
up,
with
an
open
invitation
for
neighbors
to
paint.
The
first
to
stop
in
were
kids
riding
by.
“They
thought
it
was
cool,”
says
Jan,
but
the
adults
weren’t
so
keen.
“Most
said
they
hadn’t
picked
up
a
paint
brush
since
kindergarten,”
she
says.
“They
were
afraid
they’d
mess
it
up.”
But
as
word
slowly
spread,
they
came,
some
using
their
driver’s
license
photos
as
models.
Then
something
started
to
happen.
They
returned—to
see
who
had
painted,
or
if
they
could
recognize
who
was
who.
In
Jan’s
garage,
they
began
to
chat
about
schools,
jobs
and
families.
Almost
daily.
Wendy,
who
lived
across
the
street
and
was
seriously
ill,
came
in
her
wheelchair
to
watch
the
fun.
Neighbors
began
to
offer
their
support.
When
the
worst
thing
happened
and
Wendy
died,
they
stood
by
her
husband,
Bill
and
invited
him
over
for
dinners.
This
year
has
been
different
in
the
neighborhood.
Families
take
turns
hosting
happy
hours.
“We’re
watching
over
each
other
now
just
like
in
the
painting”
says
Jan.
Why
did
the
Dutchers
move
to
San
Diego?

answer(根据短文内容,选择最恰当的答案)
It
seems
that
schools
in
the
U.K.
are
feeling
totally
hopeless
in
dealing
with
the
lateness
of
some
of
their
students.
So
now,
some
have
decided
that
the
punishment
should
go
not
to
the
children,
but
to
their
parents.
Thousands
of
parents
in
Hampshire
have
been
fined
$80
because
their
children
were
late
for
class
more
than
ten
times
in
a
term.
The
fine
will
double
if
it
is
not
paid
within
21
days.
Dozens
of
schools
across
Hampshire
have
put
the
new
rule
into
effect,
and
from
this
September,
another
500
local
primary
and
secondary
schools
will
join
them.
Similarly,
in
Islington,
London,
parents
will
also
face
a
fine
if
their
children
arrive
at
school
late
for
more
than
12
times
in
six
weeks.
Parents
in
Essex,
however,
will
not
be
fined,
but
that
doesn't
mean
they
won't
face
trouble
if
their
children
are
regularly
late
for
school.
Several
schools
there
have
set
up
their
late-for-school
patrols.
Parents
who
send
their
children
to
school
late
will
be
questioned
by
officers
of
the
patrols
about
the
reasons
for
lateness.
The
Education
Department
explained,
“We
don't
really
want
to
fine
or
trouble
parents.
But
indeed
we
want
children
to
be
in
school.
There
just
comes
a
time
when
we
have
no
their
choices.
Maybe
children
are
still
too
young
to
learn
the
importance
of
punctuality.
So
we’re
afraid
that
parents,
especially
those
who
send
their
children
to
school,
need
to
take
the
responsibility.”
Parents,
of
course,
are
not
happy
about
the
new
rules.
They
don't
think
getting
fined
or
questioned
will
be
a
good
way
to
solve
the
old
problem.
Besides,
to
some
poor
families,
$80
may
be
a
lot.

and
what
is
the
most
important
thing
to
do?
The
king
consulted
learned
men,
promising
he
would
richly
reward
anyone
who
could
answer
the
questions,
but
their
answers
didn’t
satisfy
him.
In
the
end,
he
decided
to
visit
a
wise
hermit
who
lived
in
the
woods.
The
hermit
would
speak
only
with
common
people,
so
the
king
put
on
simple
clothes.
When
he
got
close
to
the
hermit’s
hut,
he
ordered
his
bodyguards
to
wait
behind.
He
approached
the
place
and
found
the
hermit
digging.
He
asked
the
wise
man
his
three
questions,
but
the
hermit
didn’t
respond.
Seeing
how
old
and
weak
the
hermit
was,
the
king
began
helping
him
dig.
The
king
dug
for
hours,
but
the
hermit
never
answered
his
questions.
Just
as
the
king
was
about
to
leave,
a
wounded
man
came
running
to
the
hut
and
fainted
before
them.
Then
the
king
carried
the
wounded
man
to
Hermit’s
hut
and
took
care
of
him.
The
king
was
exhausted
and
fell
asleep
as
well.
When
he
awoke,
he
talked
with
the
man,
who
said
that
he
had
wanted
to
kill
the
king
but
was
wounded
by
his
bodyguards.
He
asked
for
forgiveness
and
promised
to
serve
the
king
faithfully.
Afterwards,
the
king
went
outside
and
repeated
his
questions
to
the
hermit
once
more.
The
hermit
replied,
“If
you
had
not
helped
me
dig
earlier,
you
would
have
left
and
been
killed
by
the
man.
So,
the

important

then
was

and
the
most
important
time
was
when
you

The
most
important
thing
to

was
to

When
the

arrived,
he
was
the
most
important
person,
and
saving
him
was
the
most
important
thing.
By
doing
so,
you
made

with

The
king
finally
had
his
three
answers.
The

四种题型:
1.
细节理解题
☆考察方面:学生对相关信息的识别能力,答案一般可在原文定位到。
☆答题事项:应迅速找到并且定位到考点,不可望文生义和主观臆断。
☆干扰选项:一般与文中观点相反,不符,未涉及,特征是无中生有,张冠李戴,以偏概全,扩大内容。
解题技巧:
通读短文,领会文章大意,理解文章结构层次及细节,特别注意:
(1)五个W
(who
,
which
,
when
,
where
,
what

3.
推理判断题(不要自行推理+过度推理)
☆考察方面:透过文章的信息进入深刻的分析,归纳和推断得解。
☆答题事项:应迅速找到并且定位到考点,不可望文生义和主观臆断。
解题技巧:
(1)分析文章的主旨。
(2)分清文章的主要思想及次要思想。
(3)寻找文章的逻辑思路。
(4)核对问题中各项选择与文章中有关词句的联系。
推理判断类:

【解析】
根据整篇诗歌可以得知文章主要是围绕着家庭和爱来展开的。因此得出答案是C。
D篇专项训练
一、解题技巧:
通读全文。通读全文、弄清楚段落大意及文章的中心意思以及作者的基本观点、态度,正确理解语境。
按题查读,即根据问题去寻找答案。
简练作答。组织答案时,注意避免语言错误,如:时态、主谓一致、句子结构和拼写等。如需引用原文,要作适当改动,最好不要整句照搬.
认真核查。逐一检查所填的词是否符合原文主旨和细节,是否答非所问,是否仍存在语法、词汇拼写等错误。
答案形式要符合提问方式。如原文中提问方式为“why”,那么就要用“because”引导的从句来回答。
二、回答问题规范性:
用How提问,回答要以by开头。
A.How
did
the
judge
solve
the
student’s
problem?
B.(The
judge
solved
the
problem)
By
making
the
restaurant
owner
hear
the
sound
of
the
falling
coins.
用where/when提问,要以介词in/
on/
at等开头。
A.Where
did
the
student
live?
B.In
a
small
room
near
a
restaurant.
A.When
did
Eppie
Lederer
begin
to
write
an
advice
column
for
the
Chicago
Sun
Times?
B.In
1955.
(or:
After
she
won
a
contest.)
补充:When提问的题目比较常见,但是要注意,一般不能照抄原文。看下面三种表达:
When
did
you
come
to
Shanghai?
①在2012年→In
2012.
②两年前→Two
years
ago.
③当我是小孩子的时候→When
I
was
a
boy.
通过这几个句子,可知when提问有三种回答方法:
介词+时间点;时间段+ago;
when+句子。
注意:1)用时间状语从句回答时,when不能省略。
2)特别注意表示时间的词前面是否有约数词如about,
around等。
用how
many提问,要注意数字前是否有限定词more
than/
at
least/about等。
A.How
many
readers
do
the
two
columns
have?
B.Nearly
200
million
readers
(around
the
world).
用why提问,要以because(of)
开头回答,
或者以To
do开头回答。
A.Why
did
the
student
feel
afraid?
B.Because
the
judge
said
he
was
wrong
/
he
had
only
a
few
coins/
he
had
no
money.
A.Why
did
Lederer
ask
her
readers
to
write
letters
to
The
U.S.
Congress?
B.To
make
them
pass
the
law.
用whom提问,要以介词with/by等回答。
A.Whom
did
Sam
live
with
in
the
Wild
Catskill
Mountains?
B.He
lived
with
himself.
How
long提问时要注意区分在现在完成时态中要用for+一段时间(since+时间点)开头回答,其他则直接回答。
A.How
long
have
you
stayed
in
Shanghai?
B.
For
3
years.
B.
How
long
did
it
take
you
to
go
to
school
by
bus?
B.
3
hours.
注意回答时态:
A.How
was
the
food
in
the
restaurant?
B.The
food
was
delicious/good.
反义疑问句:
Example
1.
Both
Eppie
Lederer
and
Pauline
Phillip
love
their
jobs,
don’t
they?
Example
2.
Both
Eppie
Lederer
and
Pauline
Phillip
don’t
love
their
jobs,
do
they?
肯定回答:Yes,
they
do.(是的,他们喜欢他们的工作。)
否定回答:No,
they
don’t.(不是的,他们不喜欢他们的工作。)
注意:前面句子的否定词不影响回答,无论陈述句是肯定还是否定,反义疑问句的回答一定要遵循事实来回答,事实上是肯定的就回答Yes,事实上是否定的就回答No,
选择疑问句:
Based
on
her
speaking,
how
do
we
stay
young,
to
laugh
or
to
cry?
回答时,不以yes/no开头,直接选择其中一项回答,即
We
stay
young
to
laugh.
主观题:
要以文章中心思想为基础,通常看文章最后一段的意思,再用自己话概述。
A.As
a
teenager,
will
you
run
away
from
home?
Why?
B.Because
this
was
just
the
kind

【答案】DDCBDA
【解析】
此题为细节题,题意为材料中提到几个SEA
LIFE
Sydney
Aquarium的物种,很明显图中共介绍了三个物种。学生可能会被句中more
than
12,000
sea
animals迷惑,仔细审题句中问的是specialty而不是sea
animals。
此题考察词义推断,根据句意一些delirious的水手从欧洲终到澳大利亚水域知道离开好久之后都将美人鱼认错。所以可以推断,这些水手是很迷惑的,不解的,与之相近的单词为confused。
此题为细节题,最后一张图片上是价格,根据题意为两名成人,一名十岁孩子,图片上有成人票价以及儿童票价,相加即可。
此题为细节题,最下面左栏为开门时间,可以看到Christmas
Day
Hours为上午九点半到下午三点,所以营业时间为五个半小时。
此题为文章推断题,根据全文可知,全文是介绍SEA
LIFE
Sydney
Aquarium,通过参观这个海洋馆可以学习到海洋生物的知识,所以是一个有教育意义的地方。
此题为文章理解题,根据整篇文章都在介绍SEA
LIFE
Sydney
Aquarium可知,这是一篇广告,所以它的目的是为了提供信息、吸引游客而不是为了呼吁保护海洋动物。这里要注意审题,体重问的是不正确的一项,不要误选为正确选项。

Cruises
are
becoming
more
and
more
popular,
with
around
20
million
passengers
per
year
now
enjoying
holidays
on
board
luxury(奢侈的)
ships.
More
people
see
a
cruise
as
the
perfect
way
to
sit
back
and
do
nothing,
and
enjoy
time
off
work.
But
what
is
the
effect
on
the
environment
of
this
trend?
Although
it
usually
takes
less
energy
for
a
vehicle
to
move
through
water
than
over
land,
cruise
ships
are
often
massive,
with
the
biggest
ones
carrying
up
to
6,000
passengers.
Moving
such
large
vehicles
requires
huge
engines
which
burn
as
much
as
300,000
litres
of
fuel
a
day.
One
scientist
has
calculated
that
cruise
ships
create
as
much
pollution
as
5
million
cars
going
over
the
same
distance.
Because
they
are
out
at
sea,
they
also
burn
dirtier
fuel
that
isn’t
allowed
on
land.
Unfortunately,
no
government
has
control
over
the
amount
of
air
pollution
out
at
sea.
Cruises
also
produce
huge
amounts
of
rubbish,
and
cruise
ships
aren’t
usually
good
at
recycling.
Waste
water
from
showers
and
toilets
is
usually
poured
directly
into
the
sea
–
as
much
per
day
as
from
a
small
town.
Waste
food
from
restaurants
isn’t
put
into
the
sea,
but
still
causes
problems
when
brought
back
to
the
land.
Cruise
ships
also
cause
difficulties
in
the
cities
where
they
stop.
Popular
destinations
can
get
five
or
six
ships
per
day,
with
thousands
of
tourists
at
a
time.
Good
for
restaurants?
No.
Restaurant
owners
complain
that
the
visitors
look
around
for
a
few
hours
and
then
return
to
their
ship
to
eat.
What’s
more,
the
crowds
can
put
off
other
tourists,
who
complain
that
the
streets
are
too
busy.
Some
towns
have
banned(禁止)cruise
ships
or
put
a
limit
on
the
number
that
can
stop
at
the
same
time.
People
who
care
about
the
environment
worry
that
as
the
cruise
industry
continues
to
grow,
so
too
will
the
issues
for
our
planet.
The

How
is
waste

dealt
with
on

It’s

a
town.
B)
It’s
properly
recycled.
It’s
thrown
away
at

D)
It’s
stored
in
the

Why
are

They

on

They
fill
up
the

They

“You
have
saved
my
horse,”
Queen
Olivia
told
the
young
boy
standing
before
her.
“Now
you
shall
have
a
reward.”
Peter
nervously
ran
his
fingers
through
his
brown
hair.
The
frightened
horse
had
run
past
him
as
he
worked
in
the
field
that
morning.
He
would

it
whether
it

the
queen
or
not.
But
he
had
to
admit
that
getting
a
reward
was
nice.
Two
of
the
queen’s
men?appeared.
One
carried
a
mirror.
Red
jewels
shone
on
top
of
the
mirror’s
silver
frame.
The
other
carried
a
wooden
cage
with
a
chicken
inside
it.
“Only
one
reward
can
be
yours,”
the
queen
said.
“Choose
wisely.”
“That’s
easy,”
Peter
said.
“I’ll
take
the
chicken.”
Some
of
the
queen’s
men
laughed.
It
was
clear
that
they
thought
he
had
made
a
foolish
choice.?
“And
why
did
you
choose
the
chicken?”
the
queen
asked.
“Well,
I
don’t
know
much
about
jewels
,”
Peter
answered.
“But
I
do
know
about
chickens.
The
chicken
will
provide
eggs
for
my
family
for
a
long
while.”
Queen
Olivia
smiled.
“Then
you
did
make
a
wise
choice,”
she
said.
“That
mirror
may

fancy.
But
the
jewels
you

are

colored
glass,
and
the
frame
is
painted
silver.
The
chicken
is
much
more
valuable.”
Peter
took
the
chicken
and
bowed.
“Thank
you,
your
majesty.”
“You
are
a
smart
child,”
the
queen
added.
“I
could
use
a
smart
boy
to
help
take
care
of
my
horses.
Would
you
like
to
take
the
job?”
Peter
smiled.
“Thank
you
very
much!”
he
said
excitedly.

job

castle

Now

well
for

rest
of

because

When
Jan
and
Brian
Dutcher
moved
to
San
Diego
for
Brian’s
new
job
at
San
Diego
State
University,
the
neighbors
smiled
and
introduced
themselves.
But
there
were
no
“bring
a
plate”
invitations,
no
car
pooling
for
her
daughters
Liza,
12
and
Erin,
15.
“The
families
really
didn’t
know
each
other,
and
we
missed
that,”
says
Jan.
“We
are
far
from
relatives.
Neighbors
are
our
family.”
So
Jan,
an
artist,
decided
to
repeat
a
project
she
had
done
for
Liza’s
fifth-grade
class:
ask
each
person
to
paint
his
or
her
face
on
a
big
canvas
(帆布).
The
finished
piece
would
become
the
new
family
photo.
First,
Jan
painted
a
grid
(网格)
on
the
canvas
and
put
it
up
in
the
garage
with
a
table
of
paints
nearby.
Then
whenever
she
was
home,
the
“art
room”
door
was
up,
with
an
open
invitation
for
neighbors
to
paint.
The
first
to
stop
in
were
kids
riding
by.
“They
thought
it
was
cool,”
says
Jan,
but
the
adults
weren’t
so
keen.
“Most
said
they
hadn’t
picked
up
a
paint
brush
since
kindergarten,”
she
says.
“They
were
afraid
they’d
mess
it
up.”
But
as
word
slowly
spread,
they
came,
some
using
their
driver’s
license
photos
as
models.
Then
something
started
to
happen.
They
returned—to
see
who
had
painted,
or
if
they
could
recognize
who
was
who.
In
Jan’s
garage,
they
began
to
chat
about
schools,
jobs
and
families.
Almost
daily.
Wendy,
who
lived
across
the
street
and
was
seriously
ill,
came
in
her
wheelchair
to
watch
the
fun.
Neighbors
began
to
offer
their
support.
When
the
worst
thing
happened
and
Wendy
died,
they
stood
by
her
husband,
Bill
and
invited
him
over
for
dinners.
This

It
seems
that
schools
in

feeling
totally
hopeless
in
dealing
with
the
lateness
of
some
of
their
students.
So
now,
some
have
decided
that
the
punishment
should
go
not
to
the
children,
but
to
their
parents.
Thousands
of

in
Hampshire
have
been
fined
$80
because
their
children

more

The
fine

Dozens
of
schools
across
Hampshire
have
put
the
new
rule
into
effect,
and
from
this
September,
another
500
local
primary
and
secondary
schools
will
join
them.
Similarly,
in
Islington,
London,
parents
will
also
face
a
fine
if
their
children
arrive
at
school
late
for
more
than
12
times
in
six
weeks.
Parents
in
Essex,
however,
will
not
be
fined,
but
that
doesn't
mean
they
won't
face
trouble
if
their
children
are
regularly
late
for
school.
Several
schools
there
have
set
up
their
late-for-school
patrols.
Parents
who
send
their
children
to
school
late
will
be
questioned
by
officers
of
the

about
the
reasons
for
lateness.
The
Education

explained,
“We

But
indeed
we
want
children
to

There

a
time
when
we
have
no
their

Maybe
children
are
still
too
young
to

the
importance
of
punctuality.
So
we’re
afraid
that
parents,
especially
those
who
send
their
children
to
school,
need
to
take
the
responsibility.”
Parents,
of

are

They
don't

“It’s

Laura

excitedly.
“Oh,

Hm!”
“I
just
can’t
wait

you
the
White

Park
–
it’s
the

amazing
fun

area!”
“I
bet.
Yeah!
It
must
be.”
“It’s
just
great
that

you

It’ll

so
much
better
than

They

boring

“Er…”
Rupa
hesitated.
“It

It

kind
of

It’s

Er…”
“Er
what?
You’re
not
sounding
all
that
excited
and
more.
You
haven’t
changed
your
mind?”
“Er…”
“Roops!
What
is
it?
What’s
happened?”
“Well,
nothing
exactly
happened…”
“Well,
then,
what?
You’re
my
bestest
friend!”
“I
know!
And
you’re
mine!
It’s
just…”
“WHAT?”
Rupa
paused.
She
drew
a
deep
breath.
“Leon’s
coming
from
America.
He
gets
in
the
day
we’re
supposed
to

(根据以下内容回答问题)
There
once
was
a
king
who
wanted
to
find
the
answers
to
what
he
considered
the
three
most
important
questions
in
life.
The
three
questions
are
:
when
is
the
right
time
for
every
action,
who
are
the
most
important
people
,
and
what
is
the
most
important
thing
to
do?
The
king
consulted
learned
men,
promising
he
would
richly
reward
anyone
who
could
answer
the
questions,
but
their
answers
didn’t
satisfy
him.
In
the
end,
he
decided
to
visit
a
wise
hermit
who
lived
in
the
woods.
The
hermit
would
speak
only
with
common
people,
so
the
king
put
on
simple
clothes.
When
he
got
close
to
the
hermit’s
hut,
he
ordered
his
bodyguards
to
wait
behind.
He
approached
the
place
and
found
the
hermit
digging.
He
asked
the
wise
man
his
three
questions,
but
the
hermit
didn’t
respond.
Seeing
how
old
and
weak
the
hermit
was,
the
king
began
helping
him
dig.
The
king
dug
for
hours,
but
the
hermit
never
answered
his
questions.
Just
as
the
king
was
about

a

man
came
running
to
the

and
fainted
before
them.
Then
the
king

the

to
Hermit’s

took

him.
The
king
was
exhausted

fell

He
asked
for

and
promised
to
serve
the
king
faithfully.
Afterwards,
the
king
went
outside
and
repeated
his
questions
to
the
hermit
once
more.
The
hermit
replied,
“If
you

The

finally
had
his
three
answers.
