一、教学目标
1. 能够在情景中运用句型“What does he/she do? He/She is a(n)…”“Do you want to be a(n)...? I want to be a(n)...”谈论人物的职业。
2. 能够理解语境语言“He often goes to other countries.”“Do you want to be a head teacher,too? ”的大意。
3. 能够用正确的意群及语音、语调朗读对话。
二、教学重点、难点
1. 在情景中恰当运用句型“What does he/she do? He/ She is a(n)”“Do you want to be a(n) ...?”“ I want to be a(n) ...”谈论人物的职业。
2. 理解词汇businessman、country、head teacher的意思并能正确发音。

教师准备本课时的音频、视频、单词卡片和教学课件。
教学过程
Step 1: Review & Lead in(复习&导入)
1. 旧知复习
教师提供图片,师生通过问答,复习四年级学过的职业名词。示例对话如下:
T: What’s his job?
S1: He’s a doctor.
T: What’s her job?
S2: She’s a teacher.
2. 新课导入
教师提供话题Parents’ Day, 师生对话,为新课做准备。
In our school, we will have a Parents’ Day every year. Who will come on Parents’ Day in your family?
Step 2: Presentation & Practice(新课呈现&当堂操练)
1. Let’s try
教师呈现Sarah和Oliver的图片,交代背景:Today is Parents’ Day. 教师让学生读题。然后播放录音,学生圈出正确的答案。最后师生核对答案。
2. Let’s talk
教师呈现Let’s talk的图片并提出问题,学生根据老师的问题预测对话内容。
Q1: Who is the man in the picture?
Q2: Where is he?
3.听对话,回答问题
教师播放录音并提出问题,学生听录音,回答问题。
Q1: What does Oliver’s father do?
Q2: What does Oliver’s mother do?
Q3: What does Oliver want to be?
学生通过录音内容得到答案:Oliver’s father is a businessman. Oliver’s mother is a head teacher. Oliver wants to be a businessman.教师利用卡片教读词汇businessman。
4.观看课文动画视频,理解文意
教师播放课文动画视频,学生观看视频弄清文意。重点理解下列句子句意:
He often goes to other countries.
I want to be a businessman.
5.跟读课文,纠正发音
教师播放课文录音,学生跟读,纠正发音。特别是两个三会词汇country和head teacher的发音及意义。
6.小组合作朗读,分角色展示
小组内分角色熟读课文,然后请几个小组上台展示。

教学反思
1. 亮点:学生对谈论自己父母的职业感兴趣,因此乐于运用重点句型操练语言。小组调查活动及汇报让学生更好地巩固了所学语言,达到教学目的。
2. 不足之处:教师对关于职业的词汇进行了拓展,学生不能快速掌握。
