Step I Class Opening (1 minutes)
Greeting
T: Good morning, class! How are you today?
Ss: Good morning, Ms.Sun! Fine, thank you. And you?
T: I’m fine, too.
[设计思路:使用亲切、贴近生活的问候语言拉近师生关系,带学生自然进入英语氛围。]
Step II Free talk (5 minutes)
The teacher shows some questions on the PPT.

Where is she from?
What does she do?
Look at the picture, where is she now?
(The teacher presents the picture and the topic of this lesson to help students to answer the questions.)
Step III New lesson
Let students read paragraph 1 and find out the adjectives which describe people.
Nervous, friendly, nice, comfortable, relaxed, wonderful, helpful
Play a game to choose one picture and use the adjectives (nervous, friendly, nice, comfortable, relaxed, wonderful, helpful) to make a sentence.
Let students read paragraph 2 and find the differences between Chinese and Canadian school
Play a game to help the fox go home
[设计思路:用游戏的方法让学生掌握文章第一、二段内容,既提高了学生的学习的兴趣,也巧妙地突破了本节课的重点和难点。]
StepIV Listen and fill in the blanks.
[设计思路:因为文章第三、四段内容简单,也是学生比较熟悉的句子及单词,所以我采用听力的方法,既提高了学生的听力能力,也让学生了解了课文内容。]
Step V How to write an e-mail?(让学生观察一下本篇文章的结构以及格式,并利用老师板书的关键词来复述课文)
Step VI Write an E-mail to your best friend about your school life.
[设计思路:因为这一单元的话题就是School life, 这又是这一单元的最后一课,所以我在这节课的结尾设置了写作这一环节,既让学生学会用英语表达自己的学校生活,也让学生们掌握了电子邮件的写作格式。]
