教学分析:
1.学习者分析:五年级学生已经学过两年多英语,积累了一定的词汇和语法知识,在课堂活动中教师应尽量调动他们用英语表达的积极性。
2.学习内容分析:本课大部分词句学生都已学过,生词不多,理解起来较容易。谚语是学生初次接触,感觉很新鲜。很多孩子都去过长城,所以这个故事很容易引起共鸣。
教学目标:
知识技能目标:
1.能听懂并读懂故事。
2.能朗读故事并在老师的帮助下表演故事。
学习策略目标:
1.在学习中集中注意力,初步尝试各种阅读策路:寻读,略读,速读等。
2.对所学内容能主动练习和实践。
3.积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流。
情感态度目标:
1.学生有兴趣听故事,读故事,积极参与各项活动。
2.提倡学生文明旅行,爱护文明古迹。
文化意识目标:
了解、体会中西方文化的异同。
教学重难点
1.本课重点:听懂并读懂故事。
2.本课难点:表演故事。

五、教学过程
Class Opening
1. Greetings:
T: Good morning, boys and girls.
Ss: Good morning, Miss Xiao.
2. Free talk
T: Spring is coming. Do you want to go outside to play?
Ss: Yes.
T: Where do you want to go?
【设计意图】简单的问候后,与学生进行 free talk,拉近师生的关系,为接下来的复习环节做铺垫。
3. Review:
1 )Guide in
T: We all know that Liming, Danny, Jenny went to Beijing. Where did they go?
S1: Tian’anmen Square.
T: Good. Go on.
S2: The Palace Museum
S3:Wangfujing Street.
T: Yes. Today they will go to the Great Wall.
(设计意图)对北京的四个著名景点进行汇总,既是对本单元前几课复习,又可以引出新授部分。
New Concepts:
1. Pre-reading:
T: The Great Wall is so great. What do you know about the Great Wall?
2. While reading:
1).T: Can you understand the main meaning?
Answer questions, one: Who is going to the Great Wall?
S1: Mrs. Li, Jenny, Danny and Li Ming.
T: (Write and stick) How do they go to the Great Wall?
SZ: By bus.
T: (Draw a bus) When do they go to the Great Wall?
S3:(Write“Today”)
T: Today, Mrs. Li, Jenny, Danny and Li Ming are going to the Great Wall by bus. Who can repeat?
(设计意图)通过回答三个问题,并板书,将第一幅图的读呈现出来。
2) T: Look at picture 2, read it aloud and guess. Pay attention to the reading tip.
T: What do we call the Great Wall in China?
S1: The Ten-thousand-li Great Wall
T: What’s the meaning?
S2:万里长城。
T: Read after the sound. Who can read Pic2?
3) Look at picture 3. Read pic3 quietly and underline. How old is the oldest part?
S1: The oldest part is more than 2000 years old.
T: Pay attention to “the” What's the meaning of "oldest" "more than"? The first one is 73 years old. The second one is 70 years old. The third one is 85 years old. Who is the oldest? Old-older-oldest.
T: The two people’s age is more than 70 years old. But the third one is more than 80 years old.

4) T: Look at Pic4. Read Pic4 quickly. What's the Chinese saying about the Great Wall?
S1: He who does not go to the Great Wall is not a true man.
T: What’s the meaning?
S2:不到长城非好汉。
T: Read after the sound. Who can read Pic4?
5) T: Look at Pic 5 and 6. Four people in a group. Read Pic 5/6 in groups. Choose one, stand up to read pic5. Choose another one, stand up to read Pic6.
T: Answer: How to keep the Great Wall clean and beautiful?
S1: Don’t draw or write on the Great Wall.
T: If we are on a trip, how can we to be a civilized visitor?
Don’t write or draw! Don’t spit! Don’t litter! Don’t kiss the grass!

助学生理解读懂故事,提倡学生文明旅行,爱护文明古迹。

(设计意图)通过填空来获取课文主要信息,通过表演来呈现本课重难点,在此基础上扩展中国的谚语让学生体会中西文化的异同。并给学生推荐绘本来扩充阅读。
