Analysis of teaching material This lesson is about shopping. It asks the students to practice the key words and sentences, use them to go shopping in real situations, improve English integrated applied ability, write the words and sentences which need to spell and develop the students’ rhyme.
Analysis of students The students in Grade Five have learnt English for more than four years. They have known some skills about learning English. Most of them are active, passionate and interested in learning English. They like to learn English with songs, chants, dialogues and games.
Teaching objectives Language knowledge objectives:
1) After functional practice, the students can listen, read and say “trousers, short pants”, the students can listen, say, read and write: “try, short pants, coat, clothes”.
2) After functional practice, the students can listen, read and say “Would you show me that pair of short pants? Sure. Here you are.” The students can listen, say, read and write: “How much are these short pants? They are sixty-five yuan.”
3) After functional practice, the most students can ask and answer with the words and sentences.
Language skills objectives :
1. The Ss can talk about clothes and the price.
2. The most students can act out the dialogue about shopping.
3. The Ss can chant.
Affect objectives:
The most Ss can talk about their clothes and act out the dialogue bravely.
The Ss can help others to buy clothes.
