Marco Polo was a man from Italy. He went to China at the age of 17. He travelled along the Silk Road, and he moved goods between Europe and Asia on the Silk Road. When Marco Polo travelled to Beijing in 1275, he learned about coal and paper. He brought some coal and paper back to Italy and brought back a lot of silk, tea and other goods. His travel is important to the whole world.
